Job Title: Account Executive, Toronto
The Elevator Pitch
Evolv is rethinking how public spaces stay safe through AI-powered security technology that protects people, without slowing them down. As our next Account Executive for the Greater Toronto Area, you won't just fill a territory, you'll build one: new relationships, a strong pipeline, and enterprise deals you own start to finish across Canada, excluding British Columbia and Alberta. We're looking for a founding AE with a builder mentality, someone who can generate their own pipeline, establish a strong market presence, and grow the Canadian business annually.
The Role: Performance Outcomes
Within 30 Days
- Become knowledgeable about Evolv's products and build confidence speaking to the value proposition across customer segments.
- Build relationships with key internal partners (Business Development Representatives, Channel Executives, Pre-Sales, and Deployment teams) and external partners (channel, top accounts).
- Understand Evolv's sales process and MEDDPICC methodology.
- Develop an informed perspective on the Canadian market — priority industries, prospective customers, channel relationships, and regional buying dynamics.
Within 90 Days
- Prospecting: Develop a plan to target top accounts in your given region while working with the Business Development team to ensure new market engagement.
- Channel development: Develop a plan for interfacing with channel partners to enable them to develop new opportunities. This will be continuous and benchmarked monthly.
Within 6 Months
- Client acquisition: Create, qualify, and progress new opportunities; demonstrate growth of Tier 1 accounts and generate 10 new opportunities per month.
- Forecasting: Deliver accurate, consistent forecasts, benchmarked monthly against opportunity push counts.
- Deal velocity: Keep opportunities moving through Salesforce stages; you and your manager will problem-solve any deal that stalls.
- Meet or exceed established pipeline and revenue targets.
The Work: What will you be doing?
Territory Development and Sales Execution
- Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to achieve or exceed quota.
- Prospect, qualify, and nurture new opportunities to build a strong pipeline.
- Conduct discovery, needs analysis, solution scoping, and ROI development.
- Deliver compelling presentations and demos (virtual and onsite).
- Navigate complex enterprise deals with multiple decision-makers.
- Lead commercial negotiations through close.
- Present effectively to audiences ranging from operational and technical stakeholders to senior executives.
Cross-Functional & Channel Collaboration
- Partner closely with Solutions Engineers, Inside Sales, Field Marketing, and Channel Management to support deal creation and progression.
- Develop joint account plans and co-selling strategies with partners across the territory
- Strengthen channel partnership effectiveness, ensuring alignment on target markets and co-selling motions.
- Collaborate with Customer Enablement, Pre-Sales, and Deployment teams to support customer onboarding and long-term success.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain accurate CRM hygiene and forecasting through Salesforce.
- Represent Evolv at regional and national trade shows, conferences, and customer events.
- Manage the full sales lifecycle: prospecting → qualification → evaluation → negotiation → close → renewal handoff.
What You Bring
- A track record of winning complex, enterprise-level deals — from prospecting through close, with multiple stakeholders in the room.
- The executive presence to earn trust with senior decision-makers, and the consultative chops to turn discovery into a business case they act on.
- Experience building pipeline and territory from scratch and working channel partners as true co-sellers.
- The discipline to run a clean forecast and a tight CRM — and the self-sufficiency to manage both with minimal direction.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the territory.
Backgrounds that tend to translate well include: enterprise tech, SaaS, physical security, public safety, infrastructure, IoT, or cybersecurity — sold into education, healthcare, government, transportation, or large public venues. Security-industry experience helps but isn't required.
