Runner - Soho House West Hollywood
The role…
At Soho House a Runner is responsible for a range of tasks including preparing tables, serving orders, explaining meals, and facilitating collaboration between kitchen and servers. A Runner also assists the servers in providing quality hand plated service to all guests who come to Soho House. Main Duties

Server - Soho House West Hollywood
The Role…
At Soho House a Server is responsible for understanding, discussing and educating members and guests all menu items, allergies associated (if applicable) while also presenting an approachable and elevated experience by following Soho House Service Standards. Also, collaborates with other team members and completes pre-service and post-service duties, accurately entering orders into POS and being attentive during service to support additional member or guest request.

Main Duties
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with all coworkers and management as well as complete checklists on all trained processes learned in Club School

The role…
At Soho House, a Barback is responsible for assisting the bartenders in providing quality service to all guests who come to Soho House. The role…
At Soho House a Host is one of the first point of contacts for members guests and staff before being seated for their dining experience. As a Host, you are responsible for greeting guests, answering all incoming calls, and creating reservations for the Club or F&B Operation(s)/Restaurant(s). The Host, has acute organizational and people skills which often in infectious and promotes positive experience from the moment anyone arrives up until their departure. Responsibilities also entail excellent service to all guests, members and staff via friendliness, professional, and organizational efficiency.
A successful Host, you may be responsible for training other reception team members on process and service standards set at Soho House. As an experienced Host you are required to be able to master our phone system, have a warm and friendly disposition, ensure all anticipated covers are accounted for during service and tables are ready for the reservation’s arrival.
Main Duties
- Ensure every member and guest is welcomed by name (if local/applicable) and new guests are welcomed with open arms and in a hospitable manner
- Answer high-volume phone lines and confidently answer standard Q&A regarding menus, hours of operation and amenity availability/pricing and calls for restaurant, roof and cinema reservations, general inquiries, and deliveries, messages for members and from employees; among other inquiries in full and with complete detail
- Create reservations for club/restaurants and assist F&B Managers on the floor with service standards and service execution
- Punctuating all calls and interactions with friendliness, accuracy, and discretion
- Work with the reception team to ensure excellent service for members and open dialogue is had to manage expectations properly

Bar Manager - Soho House West Hollywood
The role…
At Soho House, the Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire beverage program and bar team to ensure optimal staff/guest experience and budget is achieved. The Bar Manager will promote and grow the bar standards, hire and train bar staff, and ensure that members and guests receive top quality drinks and service. The Bar Manager will also manage inventory, plan promotional events, ensure that quality and safety controls are followed, maintain current licenses and update vendor contracts, create schedules, and set business objectives to increase profits and maximize member / guest satisfaction.
Responsible for maintaining and delivering consistent results and opportunities to increase sales, manage costs in accordance with budget, and better the member experience. This role is held by a manager that is observant and can think critically and efficiently. They are a skilled communicator with excellent problem solving, observational, and interpersonal skills; this role has a passion for all things beverage!
Main Duties
- Lead the ongoing betterment of all aspects of the beverage program, from product to process and from engaging staff to developing staff
- Maintain and improve beverage cost KPI’s to ensure optimal financial performance and profitability as determined by company agreed metrics, objectives, and targets
- Maintain quality control and consistency throughout menu creation and process compliance by the entire beverage team.
- The Bar Manager has a known presence in the front-of-house during shifts to members, employees, and co-managers. This role speaks frequently with members and guests, and is always increasing their knowledge of the member experience.
- The Bar Manager acts as support for their bar and floor staff, offering aid as an extra hand in all capacities: staff supervisor, POS (regular functions, comps, voids), scheduling coordinator, and co-manager for all front and back-of-house needs
- Assure all procedures and standards are correct and staff is trained on discussing new / existing options with guests
- Manage a safe, productive and positive work environment by overseeing an efficient bar operation and process is followed
- Organize regular team meetings, trainings (House Tonic), educational opportunities to develop and strengthen product knowledge and steps of service while keeping communication open, concise, constructive and timely
- Partner with US Support team, including US Head of Beverage, to leverage vendor relationships and minimize margins to maximize profits
- Manage all inventory management, staff scheduling, and purchasing
- Adhere to all legal requirements (i.e. Wage and Hour/Breaks, Health and Safety, etc.) as well as schedule staff, manage labor, payroll, staff complaints and disciplinary procedures as well as performance and appraisals

The Role…
At Soho House a Server is responsible for understanding, discussing and educating members and guests all menu items, allergies associated (if applicable) while also presenting an approachable and elevated experience by following Soho House Service Standards. The role…
At Soho House, a Busser is responsible for curating a we organized, clean and structured member and guest experience. A Busser, supports runners, servers and management by cleaning and resetting tables, ensuring the availability of flatware and plates, and bringing guest needs to the attention of waitstaff. They also restock necessary items, such as napkins and straws, and may assist with washing dishes.
A successful Busser will be efficient, attentive, and have strong customer service skills.
Main Duties
- Detail all tables before service begins, ensure place settings are neat and organized and candles are on the tables
- Ensure appropriate table setting and china is used for various services throughout the day; breakfast, lunch, dinner or feast service; mis en place (ketchup, salt pepper, HP and sugar bowl).
- Stock all stations upon arrival (small plates, sharing plates, water and wines glasses, and all the silverware) and maintain throughout service along with working with your team to keep the bread warmer full and neat
- Maintain section and ensure bread and water is delivery upon guests’ arrival while also assisting other sections when applicable
- Clear tables plates, silver / glassware between each course and subsequently wipe down and re-set table for new guests
- Polish silverware and pot wash are stored according to local standards
- Complete side work before and after service (see side work sheets for details)
- Making sure the cabinet and shelf in the bar area are full before service (glassware - silverware - plate ware).
- Remove all the dirty linen from station and trash is empty and clean

The Role…
At Soho House a Server is responsible for understanding, discussing and educating members and guests all menu items, allergies associated (if applicable) while also presenting an approachable and elevated experience by following Soho House Service Standards. Also, collaborates with other team members and completes pre-service and post-service duties, accurately entering orders into POS and being attentive during service to support additional member or guest request.
