Front Office Manager - Soho House Chicago
The role…
At Soho House the Front Office Manager encompasses the highest level of hospitality and approachability by creating professional relationships with internal and external stake holders, developing/creating efficient and effective process that drives positive / rememberable member and guest experience as well as fun and inviting. The Front Office Manager at Soho House oversees rooms (hotel) and Front Office operations; including Butlers, Receptionists, and Member Services and assisting with managing the Reservations/PBX Department as well as manages the Evening Membership Guest List.
A successful Front Office Manager has previous experience managing a high-volume, elevated and customer driven boutique property. In addition to a keen eye for detail, and unmatched enthusiasm for hospitality and the Soho House brand.
Main Duties

- Collaborate with controller and Purchasing Manager to ensure all perishable and nonperishable items are ordered available to distribution and inventory is maintained

Required Skills/Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience managing Front Office operations
- Extensive knowledge of Opera, Salesforce, Open Table and Google Sheets is a must

Seasonal Bartender - Soho House Chicago
The role…
At Soho House, the Bartender is responsible for preparing alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, serving food and providing excellent service accompanied by memorable experiences to all guests and members who visit a Soho House & Co. property. As a Bartender you are an extension of the brand, management team and global food and drink program. As a result, you will be responsible for professional behavior, charismatic and positive energy to create a fun environment that drives conversation and sales.
A successful Bartender will greet customers, learn and remember their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages. You will also upsell items, create recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties. To succeed as a Soho House Bartender, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. Main Duties
- Follow steps of service and company guidelines for preparing cocktails, juices, coffee and drinks used at the bar

Club Host - Soho House Chicago
The role…
At Soho House a Host is one of the first point of contacts for members guests and staff before being seated for their dining experience. As a Host, you are responsible for greeting guests, answering all incoming calls, and creating reservations for the Club or F&B Operation(s)/Restaurant(s). The Host, has acute organizational and people skills which often in infectious and promotes positive experience from the moment anyone arrives up until their departure. Responsibilities also entail excellent service to all guests, members and staff via friendliness, professional, and organizational efficiency.
A successful Host, you may be responsible for training other reception team members on process and service standards set at Soho House. As an experienced Host you are required to be able to master our phone system, have a warm and friendly disposition, ensure all anticipated covers are accounted for during service and tables are ready for the reservation’s arrival.

- Ensure every member and guest is welcomed by name (if local/applicable) and new guests are welcomed with open arms and in a hospitable manner

Seasonal Pool Attendant - Soho House Chicago
The role…
We are seeking an enthusiastic Pool Attendant. You are responsible for ensuring each member is aware of the pool rules and for calling out anyone who breaks them. Pool Attendants need strong interpersonal skills to sense inter-guest conflicts before they escalate.
Seasonal Position: This role is expected to run from May through September.
Main Duties
- Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging services
- Welcome guests to the pool facility and ensure they have a safe and enjoyable experience

The role…
At Soho House a Host is one of the first point of contacts for members guests and staff before being seated for their dining experience. - Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity

The Allis Host - Soho House Chicago
The role…
At Soho House a Host is one of the first point of contacts for members guests and staff before being seated for their dining experience. As a Host, you are responsible for greeting guests, answering all incoming calls, and creating reservations for the Club or F&B Operation(s)/Restaurant(s). The Host, has acute organizational and people skills which often in infectious and promotes positive experience from the moment anyone arrives up until their departure. Responsibilities also entail excellent service to all guests, members and staff via friendliness, professional, and organizational efficiency.
A successful Host, you may be responsible for training other reception team members on process and service standards set at Soho House. As an experienced Host you are required to be able to master our phone system, have a warm and friendly disposition, ensure all anticipated covers are accounted for during service and tables are ready for the reservation’s arrival.
Main Duties
- Ensure every member and guest is welcomed by name (if local/applicable) and new guests are welcomed with open arms and in a hospitable manner
- Answer high-volume phone lines and confidently answer standard Q&A regarding menus, hours of operation and amenity availability/pricing and calls for restaurant, roof and cinema reservations, general inquiries, and deliveries, messages for members and from employees; among other inquiries in full and with complete detail
- Create reservations for club/restaurants and assist F&B Managers on the floor with service standards and service execution
- Punctuating all calls and interactions with friendliness, accuracy, and discretion
- Work with the reception team to ensure excellent service for members and open dialogue is had to manage expectations properly
- Build relationships with members and guests and communicate and red flags and positive feedback to management to assess
- Influence a fun and positive atmosphere by being approachable and professional
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Must have OpenTable and MICROS experience
- Must have experience answering high-volume phone lines and answering inquiries professionally, timely and to the best of your abilities.
- Problem solving skills and bring conflict resolution to any anticipated or current matter
- Detail oriented, articulate and ability to multi-task in a high-volume and demanding work environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holiday’s (as needed)
Physical Requirements

- Fast paced movements occasionally required to go from one part of the club to others.
