Mō te tūranga | About the role

We’re looking for a TTM Planning Supervisor to join our TTM Technical Services team in Auckland. This is a great role for someone who knows TTM planning inside out, enjoys leading a large team, and wants to make a real impact without the stiff corporate vibe.

You’ll lead from the front, guiding a capable team to deliver safe, practical Traffic Management Plans that keep people moving and projects on track. This role sits right at the centre of our TTM design function, working across projects, teams and regions to make sure traffic management is planned well from day one.

On average, this role is a 70/40 split between the field and office, so you’ll need to be just as comfortable out on site as you are coordinating work, reviewing plans, and supporting your team behind the scenes. It’s a role with real responsibility, where your ideas matter, safety stays front and centre, and Good Work means high standards, low ego, and people backing each other to get the job done.

Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor a large team of TTM Planners and technical team members to deliver high-quality planning outcomes.
• Coordinate workflow, priorities and resources across multiple projects while maintaining quality, consistency and delivery timeframes.
• Review and approve TMPs and risk assessments to ensure they meet NZGTTM, RCA requirements and Fulton Hogan standards.
• Work closely with project teams, RCAs, consultants and subcontractors to develop practical, risk-based traffic management solutions.
• Spend time both in the field and office, supporting delivery on site, strengthening team capability, and lifting technical performance.

• At least 2 years’ leadership experience, with confidence leading a large team in a busy operational environment.
• Traffic management experience, ideally across complex or high-risk environments.
• Mentoring experience, with the ability to grow capability, give honest feedback, and support people to do their best work.
• Strong technical skills in TTM planning, including reviewing or preparing TMPs and working with relevant design software and standards.
• A collaborative, safety-focused approach, with the ability to build strong relationships and balance field and office responsibilities.
