Working Hours & Conditions: AU Working Hours and Holidays
Employment: Full Time - Independent Contractor
ABOUT THE COMPANY:
The company is dedicated to transforming lives through high-quality, person-centred care. Operating across Western Australia, we deliver trusted Supported Independent Living (SIL), community participation, and specialised support services designed to empower participants and foster long-term independence. Our culture is rooted in genuine empathy, rigorous service standards, and collaborative community partnerships.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an ambitious, results-driven Business Development and Client Engagement Manager to spearhead our market expansion and drive participant intake across Perth and the wider Western Australian region.
Reporting directly to leadership and collaborating closely with the Operations Manager, you will operate as an "A+ Hunter"—proactively identifying referral opportunities, cultivating strategic relationships across the disability and healthcare ecosystems, and managing the end-to-end conversion cycle. This is an autonomous, high-impact field sales role where your commercial acumen, networking capability, and relentless follow-through will directly translate into sustainable service growth and full SIL occupancy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Outreach & Referral Generation
- Conduct outbound prospecting to identify and secure referral streams across Perth and Western Australia.
- Build and nurture strong professional relationships with Support Coordinators, Psychosocial Recovery Coaches, hospital discharge teams, allied health professionals, mental health networks, and justice-transition services.
- Coordinate and attend targeted field visits and partner meetings to pitch service offerings and establish sustainable intake pipelines.
Lead Management & Conversion
- Respond rapidly to participant enquiries (acknowledgement within 2 business hours) and drive structured lead qualification.
- Organise and facilitate participant intake meetings, service suitability assessments, and accommodation inspections.
- Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager to verify service capacity, staffing logistics, and participant matching before finalising agreements.
- Draft accurate service proposals, quotations, and service agreements, driving follow-ups to achieve prompt execution.
SIL Vacancy Management & Service Expansion
- Actively market and promote available Supported Independent Living (SIL) vacancies across relevant networks.
- Coordinate property viewings, engage with families and decision-makers, and support safe, appropriate participant compatibility matching.
- Pinpoint emerging service demands in regional and metropolitan catchments to advise on future property and service expansions.
Pipeline Governance & Reporting
- Maintain daily, end-to-end data integrity within the CRM—logging contacts, meeting outcomes, lead stages, and next actions.
- Deliver weekly pipeline updates, conversion analysis, and field-activity schedules every Monday by 10:00 AM.
- Produce monthly performance reviews evaluating channel effectiveness, onboarding numbers, SIL occupancy, and revenue growth.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional B2B business development, sales, or client acquisition experience within Australia.
- Industry Acumen: Sound working knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), SIL funding mechanisms, and the broader WA human services/health landscape.
- Clearances: Valid (or ability to immediately obtain) NDIS Worker Screening Check, National Police Clearance, and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Preferred
- Proven track record in a similar growth role within an NDIS registered provider, healthcare provider, or community organisation in Western Australia.
- An established network of active contacts among Perth-based Support Coordinators, LACs, hospital social workers, and community mental health organisations.
- Experience navigating complex participant matching and intake workflows within Supported Independent Living (SIL) settings.
What You’ll Bring
- A True Hunter Mindset: Highly proactive and self-motivated, with the grit to initiate cold outreach, build pipelines from scratch, and turn conversations into committed placements.
- Relationship Focus: Exceptional interpersonal communication and presentation skills that build immediate credibility with industry professionals, participants, and support networks.
- Accountability & Commercial Rigour: Clear focus on activity metrics and KPIs, taking personal ownership of pipeline velocity, follow-up cadence, and conversion outcomes.
- Ethical Boundary Management: A consultative, compliant approach that balances commercial targets with participant safety, operational capacity, and strict person-centred care principles.
