About the Role

The impact you'll be contributing to Moloco:
The Research Science (RS) team focuses on the operation and optimization of our software systems working closely with infrastructure engineering teams, machine learning teams and data science teams. As an Applied Scientist, you will participate as an individual contributor on research projects alongside other research scientists within the context of a group of cross functional collaborators working in complex multi-causal environments to identify inefficiencies, analyze potential options, and propose solutions. Your work will contribute to driving performance improvements and cost reductions, debugging and investigating production issues, and stabilizing our core system as you develop a deep end-to-end understanding of the system.

Here’s what you’ll be working on:

• Work with other applied scientists on projects to evaluate the health of both internal and external components to make sure the Moloco system is running safely and efficiently.  
• Learn from your senior peers how to identify new areas to improve our infrastructure and machine learning components by understanding internal system changes, external changes, and data changes, and identify and suggest interesting/useful next steps for your projects.
• Complete task as part of larger projects to complete deep unbiased analyses.  
• Implement, and evaluate new algorithms and features in collaboration with senior Applied Scientists, Software Engineers and Machine Learning Engineers.

The impact you'll be contributing to Moloco:
Product Analytics Data Science (PDS) is the data science team that works closely with the R&D team on our core Ads product. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will drive performance improvement in our product through a deep understanding of the ads ecosystem (supply, demand, bidding, fraud detection) and customer needs, and provide the data driven insight and scientific solutions.

Here’s what you’ll be working on:

Our team is responsible for:

• Conducting deep-dive analysis to influence R&D decisions and strategies: analyzing large datasets with queries and scripts, extracting valuable signals out of noise, and producing actionable insights into how we could improve Moloco’s complex ML and bidding system to drive outcomes for customers. 
• Evaluating ads integrity: understanding changes and drivers of our complex systems, diagnosing fraud claims and mitigating fraud escalations through a set of input/output metrics of each component.
• Building the right metrics to measure campaign health: improving campaign performance monitoring by establishing the right metric framework, and understanding cause-and-effect relationships across drivers

About the Role

We’re looking for an Applied Scientist (ALL LEVELS) to push the boundaries of applied machine learning and AI at Opendoor. While this role will have a significant impact on our valuation systems — ensuring we provide the most accurate and transparent pricing possible — the scope goes well beyond pricing. Compensation

The base pay range for this position is $156,800-$310,000 annually, plus RSUs. We are looking for a Senior Staff Scientist – Fault-Tolerant Quantum Algorithms to help lead the technical development of highly differentiated quantum solutions that will bring value to society. As a Senior Staff Scientist – Fault-Tolerant Quantum Algorithms, you’ll guide a cross-functional team whose mandate is central to IonQ’s mission to solve the world’s most complex problems using the world’s best quantum computers.

As a technical leader in the field of fault-tolerant algorithms, you will help discover the next generation of quantum applications that will exceed state-of-the-art classical methods. You will be a core member of technical leadership in quantum algorithms, and you will drive research into new quantum algorithms and develop IP, computational resource models, long-term roadmaps, and end-to-end workflows that have the potential to disrupt the field of computing. You will also work closely with product, engineering, marketing, sales, operations, and external customers/partners to brainstorm new ideas, propose complex, multi-year initiatives and represent IonQ at high-visibility technical conferences (often all in a single day)!

Responsibilities: 

• Influence the quantum applications roadmap towards fault-tolerant quantum algorithms that will make a large scientific and commercial impact by leading the origination, execution, and optimization of novel, end-to-end quantum algorithms. Guide other team members towards this goal.
• Perform detailed resource analyses of quantum algorithms and perform SWOT analysis of FTQC approaches compared to NISQ and/or classical methods.
• Provide trusted expertise and leadership in FTQC algorithms and communicate the current state-of-the-art, scaling behaviors, trade offs, cross-over points, etc. to stakeholders across the company.

You’d be a good fit with:

This is a hybrid role that has in-office requirements of two (2) days per week or eight (8) days per month. 

The ACLU Technology Department is a broad umbrella covering both the ACLU’s Analytics and its Product & Engineering teams, two robust and innovative divisions that power the work of the ACLU. WHAT YOU'LL DO 

Reporting to the Data Science Manager — Algorithmic Justice Specialist and collaborating closely with our DevOps Engineering Team, Product Manager for Discovery, and Algorithmic Justice Fellow, the Data Scientist II, NLP Specialist, will support development and evaluation work for high-priority, carefully scoped projects using NLP to support the ACLU’s mission. In this role, the NLP Specialist will be responsible for evaluating proposed uses of generative AI and non-generative natural language AI systems, providing recommendations on whether AI tooling is appropriate or ill-suited for various tasks, and when appropriate, contributing to the development and implementation of AI-based solutions to support the organization’s mission.

About the Role:

A Survey Scientist is expected to use a combination of statistics, programming, and domain knowledge to solve problems, focused on creating the methodological backbone for our general purpose products, but also lean in on client projects. They aren’t afraid of messy data, and are comfortable working in a fast paced, production-oriented environment. Our team members receive strong mentorship and are given a chance to complete projects independently.  The Survey Scientist is both a subject matter expert and a team leader. What You’ll Do:

• Work with the Director of Polling on the design, implementation, and delivery of survey products and services
• Develop and maintain internal software tools and systems to support the collection, processing, and analysis of survey data
• Own the predictive modeling process from ingestion to deployment for key internal models
• Ensure the data and modeling results meet requirements for quality and work with the team to clean, transform, aggregate, and report on data as needed
• Collaborate with polling managers, data scientists, project managers and external stakeholders to troubleshoot problems and proactively create solutions

We are seeking strong Research Scientists with expertise in AI research and experience in interdisciplinary sociotechnical modeling, to lead new breakthrough research directions. 

You will join a team working to supercharge exploration, assessment, and steering of evolving AI behaviors, with a focus on subjective and creative tasks. You will tackle the underlying research questions to improve collaborative specification of alignment objectives and assessment of adherence to desired behaviors. You will research new methods to enable AI agents to monitor real-world social context and dynamically evaluate and evolve system behaviors over long time-horizons. You’ll develop new paradigms for human+AI rating that considers systemic behaviors, adapts to human feedback, and proactively seeks context.

Research Scientists at Google DeepMind lead the development of novel tools and algorithms to solve Artificial General Intelligence. Joining from top academic or industrial labs, they collaborate across fields to tackle fundamental AI questions using expertise in deep learning, computer vision, and generative architectures. This role requires independent judgment to navigate complex, ambiguous problems and explore diverse technical avenues. Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Scientist to join our team. The Principal/Senior, Clinical Scientist will play a critical role in the design, execution, and interpretation of multiple clinical trials for our oncology drug candidates. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and research and development, to ensure the successful progression of multiple clinical programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the execution of clinical trials and ensure scientific and regulatory rigor.
• Design and develop multiple clinical trial protocols, informed consent forms, and other study-related documents.
• Collaborate with principal investigators, key opinion leaders, and clinical trial sites to ensure robust study design and execution. Serve as Lead Clinical Scientist for multiple trials.
