About the Role

The Director, Finance & Controller (Global Corporate Controller) oversees the financial integrity of AlayaCare on a global scale. This role leads our corporate accounting and financial reporting function, including strategic financial planning, consolidated reporting under IFRS, tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and continuous improvement of our accounting processes. You will partner closely with the VP, Finance and cross-functional leaders to provide accurate financial analysis, effective risk management, and sound policies that support AlayaCare’s long-term growth. The Director, Finance & Controller leads a team of 4–7 direct reports and up to 10 indirect reports across North America and Australia/New Zealand.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements under IFRS, including cash flows, note disclosures, MD&A and earnings releases.

• Serve as the key point of contact for external auditors, overseeing preparation, coordination and support for all external audits.

• Oversee the month, quarter and year-end close and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with IFRS.

• Provide technical accounting guidance and position papers for new, complex or non-standard transactions across North America and ANZ, ensuring consistent policies and treatments.

• Collaborate closely with the FP&A team on monthly reporting, analysis and insights that inform strategic decision-making.

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing accounting team, including direct and indirect reports across regions, and support recruitment and onboarding of new team members.

• Oversee weekly payment runs, including review of expense reports and vendor invoices to ensure timely and accurate disbursement of funds and strong controls.

• Ensure compliance with income and sales tax requirements across Canada, the US and ANZ, coordinating with external consultants and overseeing related filings.

• Manage stock-based compensation accounting under IFRS, including accounting entries, vesting events and related employee documentation.

• Drive continuous improvement of financial policies, processes and systems to promote financial health, optimize cost structures and mitigate financial risks globally, while supporting the VP, Finance with ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives.

What You Bring to the Team

• 8–10 years of experience in global financial management and corporate accounting roles, including leadership of a corporate controllership or equivalent function.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field and a recognized CPA designation (or international equivalent).

• Deep knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations and external financial reporting requirements for multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction organizations.

• Proven experience preparing consolidated financial statements, leading audits and partnering with external auditors.

• Strong experience with financial modelling, forecasting and analysis to support strategic decision-making.

• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team across regions.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders globally.

• Big 4 audit experience and familiarity with the SaaS industry, ideally including NetSuite and Shareworks or similar systems.

Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Lead Digital Design Engineer with deep expertise in high-performance PCIE controller and bridge design, micro-architecture, RTL implementation, and IP integration. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the development of cutting-edge connectivity solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement high-performance digital solutions, including RTL development and synthesis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IP integration for Serdes and Controller IPS, processor and peripherals
• Own block-level and full-chip designs from architecture to GDS, focusing on designs at nodes ≤ 16nm.
• Ensure timing closure, assess verification completeness, CDC, lint etc.

The base salary range for this position is CAD 130K-140K

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accounting Manager undertakes the following RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Accounting and Financial Reporting:

• Responsible for the preparation and review of accurate financial reporting for North America (Canada, USA) as it relates to manufacturing and retail operations.
• Own month-end/ year-end close governance and execution, including close calendar ownership, deliverable tracking, and on-time completion.
• Lead the monthly review process, including balance sheet review, income statement analysis, and ensuring reconciling items are understood, resolved, and appropriately escalated.
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Payroll, Tax, and AP leadership to ensure complete and accurate close inputs and outputs.
• Support planning activities by providing high-quality actuals and close insights that feed budgeting and forecasting (for example, trend analysis, key drivers, and variance explanations).

Audit, Group, and External Reporting  Leadership

• Facilitate the year-end audit end-to-end for the North America scope: develop the audit timeline, coordinate internal readiness, and serve as the primary point of coordination for auditor requests.
• Lead audit coordination and governance: partner with external auditors to align timelines, manage deliverables across stakeholders, remove blockers, and escalate risks early to ensure audit deadlines are met.
• Connect auditors to the right process owners, coordinate walkthroughs and inquiries, and ensure follow-ups are tracked through to completion.
• Lead the identification, escalation, and resolution of complex accounting and reporting matters, including performing technical accounting research, documenting conclusions, and aligning stakeholders on the path forward.
• Own technical accounting memo ownership where needed to support audit, external reporting, and internal decision-making.
• Provide support to the tax team as it pertains to statutory requests and tax audit support (IRS/CRA and sales tax audits, corporate tax support as needed).
• Support reporting needs to stream owners and UK head office as applicable.

Business Partnering and support:

• Maintain strong working relationships across the business to promote alignment and efficient issue resolution.
• Gain a thorough understanding of stakeholder expectations and leverage accounting resources and knowledge to meet those expectations.

Process Improvement and Controls:

People Leadership, Coaching, and Development:

• Set clear expectations and measurable performance standards for the team (close quality, timeliness, reconciliation rigor, audit readiness, and control adherence).
• Coach and develop managers on delegation, review standards, and running an effective operating cadence (weekly priorities, close kickoffs, post-close retrospectives, and structured escalation).
• Build bench strength through cross-training and documented back-ups for critical close, cash forecasting, hedging, and audit coordination tasks.
• Drive role clarity and capability development across the team through recurring 1:1s, targeted feedback, and training plans that improve technical depth and execution over time.
• Ensure the AP function is appropriately governed through the AP Manager (day-to-day ownership sits with the AP Manager; this role focuses on close linkage, controls, and cash forecasting inputs).

You bring the following QUALIFICATIONS:

• Chartered Professional Accountant or equivalent with 7+ years progressive accounting experience post-designation

Base Salary Range: $96,000 - $120,000 CAD annually.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Architecture Ownership: Evaluate, refactor, and evolve the WordPress/PHP and frontend JavaScript architecture to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance across all marketing web properties.
• Coding Standards & Governance: Establish and document front-end/back-end standards (PHP, JS, HTML, CSS, performance, security basics); drive adoption through PR reviews and mentoring.

What you will do:   

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented General Accountant – A/R to join our finance team. Reporting into the Controller’s Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely financial reporting. Although not a startup by definition, we operate as a lean and agile company whereby all members of the team “roll up our sleeves” and contribute across various capacities to drive success. We expect our General Accountant - AR to exhibit the same hands-on approach, passion for our mission and innate ability to get things done. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer inquiries on invoices, payments, and account statements in a timely and professional manner, helping to resolve issues and maintain strong customer relationships.​
• Manage collections activity on assigned accounts, including monitoring aging, making collection calls or emails, documenting follow-ups, and escalating delinquent accounts as needed.​
• Monitor and reconcile aged accounts receivable, researching and resolving unapplied cash, short-pays, chargebacks, and disputed items.​
• Process and issue customer refunds in accordance with company policies and appropriate approvals, ensuring accurate documentation.​
• Assist in preparing and issuing customer earnings or tax-related documents (such as year-end statements or tax forms), ensuring completeness and accuracy.​
• Support the accurate recording of monthly revenues by ensuring invoices are issued correctly, timely, and in line with underlying contracts or purchase orders.​
• Process and apply daily/weekly cash receipts from multiple payment channels, and assist with bank reconciliations by matching deposits to customer accounts.​
• Adhere to month end close procedures which include preparing monthly balance sheet schedules and reconciliation to general ledger, subledgers, accrued liabilities, prepaid and non-current assets.
• Meet with internal business partners (such as sales or operations) to confirm billing details, resolve disputes, and ensure accuracy of monthly AR and revenue reporting.​
• Participate in SOX compliance activities by documenting end-to-end financial processes, control points, and related walkthroughs for key business cycles.
• Support the design and documentation of new or updated controls when processes change, ensuring alignment with SOX and internal policy requirements.
• Provide AR and collections data and analysis to management to support cash-flow forecasting and decision-making.​
• Assist in the annual audit process by providing required documents to external auditors
• Other duties, as assigned

Requirements: 

• Undergraduate degree in Business/Finance/Accounting from University/College
• Working towards an accounting designation (CPA) considered an asset
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or financial management
• Knowledge of QuickBooks Online and NetSuite considered an asset
• Demonstrate through example their ability to manage large volumes of transactions
• Experience documenting financial processes and internal controls in a SOX or similar compliance environment.
• Technical competence using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Highly motivated and detail oriented
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
• Experience working with media and/or technology infrastructure companies a bonus

Annual Compensation Range: 

$63,000-$81,000 CAD base + benefits + equity
