About the Role 

We are looking for a strong software engineer to join our System Software Team. This is a broad system software role for engineers who are comfortable working across architecture, implementation, debugging, and long-term maintainability.

The work spans core software components, system interfaces, runtime behavior, and reliability issues across large C++ codebases. This is not a narrowly scoped feature role. We want someone who can understand a complex system end-to-end, make sound engineering decisions, and turn ambiguous problems into robust, production-grade software.

• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance system software and middleware in Modern C++ as part of core system development.

The Site Reliability Engineering team at IMC Trading is focused on the scalability and reliability of our trading systems.

We are responsible for the operations of real-time systems, providing fast and effective incident response to keep IMC trading in the market. We work closely with traders and software developers to define short and long term improvements that make our trading systems easier to operate and more scalable. In the process, we build an understanding of IMC’s trading strategies and software stack and apply automation that allows everyone to move fast, safely.

Your Core Responsibilities:

• Provide continuity, stability, and reliability of the Korean trading production environment.
• Ensure continuity of critical trading operations, prioritising resolution of system issues with a sense of urgency: you will be the first layer of response, and will need to triage and resolve / escalate issues under time pressure.

As a Senior Software Engineer in the System SW, you will serve as the architect of our core software infrastructure—the critical layer that keeps the entire autonomy stack running.
