The Site Reliability Engineering team at IMC Trading is focused on the scalability and reliability of our trading systems.

We are responsible for the operations of real-time systems, providing fast and effective incident response to keep IMC trading in the market. We work closely with traders and software developers to define short and long term improvements that make our trading systems easier to operate and more scalable. In the process, we build an understanding of IMC’s trading strategies and software stack and apply automation that allows everyone to move fast, safely.

Your Core Responsibilities:

• Provide continuity, stability, and reliability of the Korean trading production environment.
• Ensure continuity of critical trading operations, prioritising resolution of system issues with a sense of urgency: you will be the first layer of response, and will need to triage and resolve / escalate issues under time pressure.
• Support and monitor trading systems, proactively addressing problems before they are noticed
• Partner with technology and trading teams to continually evolve and deploy system architecture
• Define and own improvements to our systems and make sure they are delivered, whether by the SRE team, our dev teams or trading teams
• Making sure that quick fixes are turned into lasting solutions
• Support and oversight on corporate infrastructure where required
• Liaise with vendors for IT related tasks and problem resolutions

Your Skills and Experience:

• Fluent in English both verbal and written is a must.
• Fluent in Korean both verbal and written is a strong advantage.
• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, computer science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience, including 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Integration, or a related role
• 3+ years of hands-on professional experience with Linux operating systems, network configuration, containers and orchestration tools, including Kubernetes
• Proficiency in Python and Bash is required, experience with Go, Java and C++ are desirable

IMC Korea Compliance team works closely with our Trading and Technology teams to manage the regulatory risks of our equity market-making activities in Korea. As a Compliance Manager, you’ll play a key role in safeguarding the business while enabling smart, innovative trading in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role offers broad exposure to regulatory oversight, trade surveillance, AML/CTF, and compliance operations, giving you the opportunity to make a tangible impact and grow your expertise within a dynamic global organization.

Your Core Responsibilities: 

• Regulatory Compliance & Oversight
  • Assist in managing compliance with all applicable Korean laws and regulations
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures that align with local requirements and global IMC standards.

• Surveillance & Monitoring
  • Conduct daily trade surveillance in accordance with KRX rules and internal standards.
  • Assist in enhancing surveillance tools and automating compliance monitoring processes.
  • Perform periodic compliance reviews to test adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements; prepare findings and reports for management.

• Money Laundering Reporting Officer Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for AML/CFT and sanctions compliance matters in Korea.
  • Oversee IMC Korea’s AML and sanctions screening processes, including name screening, transaction monitoring, and alert management.
  • Maintain and periodically review the AML/CFT framework, ensuring its effectiveness and compliance with relevant local and global standards.
  • Deliver AML and sanctions training for new and existing employees.

• Training & Compliance Culture
  • Promote a strong compliance culture across IMC Korea by raising awareness of regulatory developments and best practices.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training for new hires and existing employees across relevant areas (e.g., market conduct, AML, sanctions, information barriers).

• Regulatory reporting & Compliance Operations
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports as required.
  • Support internal and external audits, inspections, and information requests.
  • Maintain organized documentation, records, and audit trails related to compliance activities.
  • Conduct or support research and investigations related to compliance initiatives or ad-hoc projects.

Your Skills and Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Law, or a related field.
• Must have minimum 5 years’ experience (or 3 years with KICPA or attorney qualification) in compliance or internal audit roles within financial services, preferably in a trading environment.
• Strong knowledge of Korean financial regulations, KRX rules and AML/CFT laws.
• Fluent in Korean and English (spoken and written).
• Experience managing regulatory inquiries, audits, and inspections.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a small team.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Python or SQL is an advantage.
• Knowledge of proprietary trading and market-making business models preferred.
• Fluency in English and Korean is a requirement.

IMC is seeking experienced Quantitative Traders to drive the monetisation of high to mid-frequency delta-one trading strategies within the APAC markets. • Develop and deploy high to mid-frequency systematic trading strategies, with a focus on APAC equities markets.

• Manage and optimize risk exposures in line with the firm's risk tolerance and trading objectives.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Economics.
• 4+ years experience in quantitative trading with specific experience in the high to mid-frequency delta-one space, ideally within APAC markets.
• Strong programming skills in at least one language (python strongly preferred).
• Strong understanding of financial markets, market microstructure, and trading systems.
• Experience in modelling market impact, with a deep understanding of order book dynamics, and liquidity provision
• Experience building predictive models for order placement, timing, and sizing to reduce adverse selection and slippage.
• Strong data analysis skills, including working with large-scale financial datasets and tick-level data.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing market conditions.
