Environmental Science Associates (ESA) is a 100% employee-owned environmental consulting firm. We plan, design, permit, mitigate, and restore for projects across our communities, infrastructure systems, open spaces, and wildlands. We are 50 years strong in 21 offices across California, the Pacific Northwest, and the Southeastern United States.
ESA seeks a Proposal Coordinator to join our Northwest Marketing Team. We are looking for a dynamic individual with two or more years of relevant experience in the development and coordination of deliverables to requests for proposals/qualifications (RFP/RFQ) in the Architecture and Engineering (A/E) market. Successful candidates will demonstrate the initiative, skill, and personal commitment to manage multiple proposals concurrently; the ability to produce accurate, compliant, and creative proposals; and the flexibility and commitment to meet quick turnaround client deadlines.
The selected candidate shall be at one of our Northwest offices (Seattle, WA or Portland, OR).

The Northwest Marketing team encourages humor and a collaborative spirit in all that it does. Though independently leading tasks, we work as a team to support the region. Outside of day-to-day coordination, we host regular gatherings, virtually and in person, refine best management practices, host regular industry trainings, and connect as a team.
ESA has established multiple pay ranges tailored to the economic factors in the geographies in which ESA staff reside. For this position, the range is approximately as listed based on our anticipated hiring locations as noted in the above job details. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including but not limited to an individual’s related experience, education, skills, and the city in which the applicant lives.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Lead Designer plays a critical role in shaping and advancing the visual identity of Seattle Sounders FC—operating as both a hands-on designer and a creative leader responsible for driving design direction and elevating team outcomes. This role goes beyond execution, serving as a key driver of creative concepts, visual strategy, and direction across multiple projects and platforms. The Lead Designer is accountable not only for their own work, but for the quality, consistency, and impact of design across the team and product ecosystem.
Working closely with the Executive Creative Director, the Lead Designer defines creative approaches, sets visual direction, and ensures alignment across stakeholders. This individual is expected to think beyond the brief, contribute bold and culturally relevant ideas, and guide how ideas scale across campaigns, content, and brand initiatives.
The Lead Designer owns key bodies of work end-to-end while also leading other designers—providing direction, feedback, and coaching to ensure cohesive and high-quality outcomes. They play a central role in shaping team standards, strengthening creative processes, and ensuring that design decisions support both brand and business goals.
This role is ideal for a designer who is ready to take on broader ownership—someone who combines strong design craft with strategic thinking, can lead work and influence others, and is motivated by shaping the look, feel, and storytelling of a globally recognized club.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly creative, technically fluent Designer to support and drive design across apparel, luggage, bags, and accessories. This role blends deep respect for heritage with a modern, AI-enabled design process—supporting cross-functional teams with fast, expressive visual storytelling and disciplined, production-ready execution.
This designer understands design history, manufacturing reality, and modern tools—and can move fluidly between all three.
