We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and adaptable Senior Clinical Project Manager within our Clinical Operations team who will lead the conduct and execution of one or more clinical trials from study start-up to study closure with support or direction from an Associate Director/Director of Clinical Operations. 

In this role, you will:

• Lead all aspects of clinical trial execution for one or more programs from IND through proof-of-concept and pivotal studies
• Plan and oversee implementation, coordination, and execution of global clinical trials including, but not limited to, oversight of study budgets, financial reporting, and forecasting in collaboration with Clinical Outsourcing
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional study teams, CROs, clinical investigators, and clinical trial stakeholders
• Manage clinical trial operations and lead study teams, including CROs and vendors, and reporting of start-up, conduct, and close-out activities
• Ensure compliance with study protocol and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Clinical Practices (GCP), ICH and local regulations

This team is dedicated to ensuring operational excellence across our clinical programs.The Development Team is an empowered, execution-minded group of drug development professionals responsible for translating Recursion’s innovative science to patients through clinical development activities. 

The Experience You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field
• 8+ years of experience in a clinical operations role in the biopharmaceutical industry, with at least 3+ years experience in leading clinical trials and project management within a biotech organization required 
• Early phase (Phase 1, 2) oncology experience at a biotech/Sponsor is required 
• Demonstrated experience organizing and leading clinical study teams
• Preferred Skills: proficiency managing timelines, tasks, milestones working in SmartSheet or similar project management software
• Demonstrated track-record of efficient and effective clinical trial planning and execution, including risk management and mitigation strategies
• Experience in vendor and CRO selection,management, and oversight
• Experience managing and tracking study budgets and financials with participation and involvement with invoice and contract review and approvals
• Experience working closely with data management and clinical teams to set up study systems and ensure quality data collection through monitoring, cleaning and analysis 
• Preferred: CRF development and IRT build experience, knowledge of data listings used for monitoring and cleaning, contribution to data management related plans and specifications
• Excellent working knowledge of FDA, ICH, GCP regulations and guidelines

Working Location & Compensation:

This position is open to both remote and hybrid models. The hybrid position would be office-based at either our office located in New York City, New York or Salt Lake City, Utah. Talent Acquisition

• Background in Drug Discovery or AI-driven Science: You have direct experience working in drug discovery, biotech, or AI-driven scientific research. Ideally, you will have worked hands-on with agentic systems (or agents) in a scientific context. You can credibly partner with PhD-level scientists and translate between scientific goals and technical systems without losing fidelity on either side.
• Fluency in Modern AI: You don't need to be an engineer, but you follow the AI landscape closely and understand how LLMs and agentic systems actually work in practice. Bonus points if you've benchmarked an agent(s) or worked hands-on with agentic tools, even outside a formal work context.
• Experimentation-First Mindset: You have a natural instinct for working through rapid prototyping cycles, whether in a product, research, or scientific context. You'd rather run a quick experiment than write a long spec.

The Team You’ll Join 

Our group is a bold, agile, diverse collective of computational drug discovery scientists deeply focused on the singular goal of bringing new therapeutics into the clinic at an accelerated pace. We are a computational group that spans precision oncology, I&I (immunology and inflammation), and neuroscience and focuses on advancing novel, targeted therapies for these disease areas. We partner closely with our biologists and medicinal chemists to design and execute impactful and decisional data analysis for multiple programs. We are responsible for data strategy across the portfolio and supported by computational leadership in designing scalable and reproducible experiments that serve to advance multiple programs within the portfolio. 

Our team collaborates extensively with computational biologists in other therapeutic areas (neurobiology, immunology, etc.) as well as data scientists and engineers from our core platform teams to provide a strong network of feedback and support. 

The Experience You’ll Need

• PhD in a quantitative field (Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Cancer Biology, etc.) with 5+ years of experience in biotech or pharma industry OR MS in a relevant field and 7+ years of experience in biotech or pharma industry solving fundamental problems in oncology or drug discovery.
• People Management Experience: Proven track record of managing and developing direct reports within a scientific or technical environment.
• Oncology Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of cancer biology, including experience with biomarker discovery and patient population stratification.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $96,728 - 120,910.  However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. As a computational biology specialist on our Target ID team, you will be at the forefront of transitioning Recursion to its next era of drug discovery. You will serve as a critical biological anchor for a highly technical data science team building the next generation of our target discovery pipelines.

The team’s mission is to identify novel therapeutic targets at scale across the genome for hundreds of indications. In this role, you will:

• Discover & Evaluate: Propose and validate novel targets using deep integration of patient data (transcriptomics, population genetics, EHR, etc) and Recursion's internal multi-omic data layers.

Our group is a bold, agile, diverse collective of data scientists and computational biologists driving Recursion’s early portfolio strategy. We are focused on aggressively expanding our early-stage pipeline with highly validated, novel therapeutic targets. The Experience You’ll Need

• PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Human Genetics, Systems Biology, or a closely related field with 3+ years of experience in the biotech or pharma industry OR MS in a relevant field and 5+ years of industry experience focusing on target ID or early drug discovery.
• Biological SME: Deep, real-world experience in target discovery, functional genomics, and understanding the druggability of disease-relevant pathways.
• Data Science Fluency: Highly proficient in Python and/or R, with a strong ability to seamlessly integrate into a data-science-heavy tech stack. Comfortable with modern software engineering practices, cloud computing, and machine learning concepts.

• Education & Tenure: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, with 10+ years of experience in product security or application security and a proven track record securing complex products.

Recursion is currently seeking a seasoned leader to join our team as Vice President, Real World Experience. This role will lead RWE generation across the Recursion portfolio. The role will be responsible for building a world-class team of statisticians, pharmacoepidemiologists, and statistical programmers. This VP and their team will partner closely with the biometrics team, clinical development, and other internal stakeholders. The role will involve, but will not be limited to, supporting study planning, generating natural history data to contextualize rare disease trials, contributing to health authority interactions, supporting value demonstration for submission to HTA bodies, and other evidence-generation needs.

The annual salary hiring range for this position is $220k - $265k USD.
