We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and adaptable Clinical Trial Manager within our Clinical Operations team who will manage the conduct and execution of one or more clinical trials from study start-up to study closure in close collaboration with the Clinical Project Manager and/or Associate Director/Director of Clinical Operations.

In this role, you will:

• Support the Clinical Project Manager in the execution of trial operations across diverse therapeutic areas to deliver transformative, new medicines to patients
• Manage and track clinical trial activities, timelines, and deliverables

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of experience in a clinical operations role in the biopharmaceutical industry, with at least 2+ years experience as a regional CTM or similar operations role required
• Preferred experience: monitoring experience, automating trial activity tracking through Smartsheet or other CTMS/tracking tools
• Early phase (Phase 1, 2) oncology and/or rare disease experience at a Sponsor or CRO is required
• Strong working knowledge of FDA, ICH, GCP regulations and guidelines

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and an understanding of principles of relationship management across diverse internal and external stakeholders

You will join a cross-functional team of software engineers, data scientists, AI/ML scientists and drug discovery biologists and chemists who build the technical bedrock that enables autonomous science, including agent orchestration, guardrails, and the connectivity between our digital and physical assets. You will work closely with the Discovery teams (the users of these agents), the AI Research teams (who build cutting-edge models), and our automated biology and chemistry lab teams (who generate the data that feeds into the models).

The Experience You’ll Need

• Background in Drug Discovery or AI-driven Science: You have direct experience working in drug discovery, biotech, or AI-driven scientific research. Ideally, you will have worked hands-on with agentic systems (or agents) in a scientific context. You can credibly partner with PhD-level scientists and translate between scientific goals and technical systems without losing fidelity on either side.
• Fluency in Modern AI: You don't need to be an engineer, but you follow the AI landscape closely and understand how LLMs and agentic systems actually work in practice. Bonus points if you've benchmarked an agent(s) or worked hands-on with agentic tools, even outside a formal work context.

The Team You’ll Join 

Our group is a bold, agile, diverse collective of computational drug discovery scientists deeply focused on the singular goal of bringing new therapeutics into the clinic at an accelerated pace. We are a computational group that spans precision oncology, I&I (immunology and inflammation), and neuroscience and focuses on advancing novel, targeted therapies for these disease areas. We partner closely with our biologists and medicinal chemists to design and execute impactful and decisional data analysis for multiple programs. We are responsible for data strategy across the portfolio and supported by computational leadership in designing scalable and reproducible experiments that serve to advance multiple programs within the portfolio. 

Our team collaborates extensively with computational biologists in other therapeutic areas (neurobiology, immunology, etc.) as well as data scientists and engineers from our core platform teams to provide a strong network of feedback and support.

As a computational biology specialist on our Target ID team, you will be at the forefront of transitioning Recursion to its next era of drug discovery. You will serve as a critical biological anchor for a highly technical data science team building the next generation of our target discovery pipelines.

The team’s mission is to identify novel therapeutic targets at scale across the genome for hundreds of indications. You will have access to all of Recursion's data layers—including massive internal maps, functional genomics, and rich patient data (transcriptomics, genetics, and Real-World Data/EHR)—and will be tasked with proposing, piloting, and deploying new methods to integrate these datasets.

The role will be responsible for building a world-class team of statisticians, pharmacoepidemiologists, and statistical programmers. This VP and their team will partner closely with the biometrics team, clinical development, and other internal stakeholders. The role will involve, but will not be limited to, supporting study planning, generating natural history data to contextualize rare disease trials, contributing to health authority interactions, supporting value demonstration for submission to HTA bodies, and other evidence-generation needs.

Deliver succinct summaries on regulatory requirements and information that clearly communicates relevant implications, expectations, actions and potential impact to business, policies, process, and strategies.
• Ensure that regulatory records and documentation are adequately maintained (e.g., accurate and complete) in controlled systems. The interactive on-going trackers should be updated regularly.
• Lead the development and enhancement of tools and processes used for collecting, managing, and disseminating regulatory intelligence (InfoDesk, PinkSheets, Cortellis, etc.)
• Oversee data migration activities related to new or existing systems in Regulatory Affairs, including analysis, planning, validation, and execution.
• Stay updated on local and global regulatory submission requirements and implement new publishing requirements.
• Support regulatory systems through end-user training and provide administrative support for preparing regulatory submissions in regulatory publishing systems. Develop and deliver training for authors of source documents.

The Team You’ll Join

Reporting to the Vice President, Regulatory, you’ll be an integral part of  the regulatory team leading regulatory operations and intelligence  function. On the diverse team, you’ll work collaboratively with fellow team members and stakeholders from toxicology, pharmacology, and clinical development to support clinical programs (IND-enabling and clinical-stage assets) in alignment with Recursion’s regulatory strategy along with leading the intelligence function to disseminate impact from regulatory changes across different regions. 

The Experience You’ll Need

• Master’s  or Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in a scientific discipline preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• 7+ years of industry-related experience in a regulatory publishing function.
• 5+ years of experience working with specialized regulatory submission and publishing systems (e.g., Lorenzo). 
• Experience with setting up regulatory intelligence functions and  tools is a must.
• Experience in FDA regulatory submissions for drugs, including familiarity with the use of FDA's electronic submission gateway and templates. Experience with EMA/MHRA portals is a plus.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to the structure, content, and application processes for regulatory submissions, particularly in CTD/eCTD format; hands-on experience with the successful creation and submission of CTD/eCTD dossiers.
• Experience interacting with health authorities for operational systems is preferred.
• Experience with technical writing (e.g., training materials, user guides, templates, SOPs) is a plus.
• Ability to establish excellent working relationships with vendors and internal cross-functional team members through consistent demonstration of integrity, credibility, reliability, and trust.
• Critical thinker with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient use of software and tools for document formatting, publishing, submissions, and tracking (e.g., MS Office, StartingPoint Templates, Adobe Acrobat, VEEVA Vault RIM).
• Experience in project management is a plus.

The Impact You’ll Make

As a key member of Recursion's partnership-facing data science team, you will be at the forefront of reimagining drug discovery from first principles using Recursion’s massive data and compute capabilities. As senior computational biologist, you will be supporting a portfolio of partnership preclinical drug programs and be responsible for designing and executing analyses to support target nomination, validation, and early programs in neuroscience diseases.

You will integrate layers of Recursion platform data (phenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, etc) to validate the link between target and disease biology and to propose targets and early programs in novel areas of neuroscience. You will partner with biologists and medicinal chemists to build supporting data packets for targets from our phenomic maps, target screens, and partnered patient data sets. You will also collaborate with computational scientists from across the organization to develop, deploy, and scale novel approaches to: 1) translational validation in hit to lead, 2) mechanism-of-action identification/de-risking, and 3) build evidence for patient connectivity to match the targets we are validating and medicines we are creating to the patients who need them.  

In this role, you will:

• Deliver biological insights on therapeutic candidates and disease biology from the analysis of high-dimensional (phenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, patient-derived) datasets that support clinical development planning
• Evaluate the biological and molecular evidence for therapeutic hypotheses and accelerate drug program progression into the clinic
• Synthesize diverse datasets (internal and external) to generate and evaluate hypotheses for drug discovery, biomarker development, mechanism of action and target population identification
• Present data analysis to decision makers and stakeholders in a clear and compelling way that drives toward getting medicines to patients

The Team You’ll Join 

Our group is a bold, agile, diverse collective of computational drug discovery scientists and data scientists deeply focused on the singular goal of bringing new therapeutics into the clinic at an accelerated pace. We are a computational group that spans precision oncology, neuroscience, and I&I (immunology and inflammation), and focuses on advancing novel, targeted therapies for these disease areas. We partner closely with our biologists and medicinal chemists to design and execute impactful and decisional data analysis for multiple programs. We are responsible for data strategy across the portfolio and supported by computational leadership in designing scalable and reproducible experiments that serve to advance multiple programs within the portfolio. 

Our team collaborates extensively with computational biologists in other therapeutic areas (immunology, oncology, etc.) as well as data scientists and engineers from our core platform teams to provide a strong network of feedback and support. 

The Experience You’ll Need

• PhD in a relevant field (computational biology, systems biology, bioinformatics, neuroscience, etc.) with a very strong computational focus and 5+ years of experience in biotech or pharma industry OR MS in a relevant field
• Experience applying computational methods (including probabilistic, statistical, and/or machine learning techniques) to analyze and integrate matched human clinical and molecular data in a high-level programming language such as Python or R
• Deep expertise in the analysis and data integration of one or more ‘omics data modalities (phenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, genomics) and/or human clinical data
• Exceptional data visualization skills
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills, including an ability to explain complex scientific concepts to a variety of audiences using a combination of plots, documents, and presentations

Nice To Have:

• Strong understanding of patient genetics and historical druggability of disease-relevant pathways,  including experience working with patient data
• Experience in efficiently advancing drug programs from proof of concept and into clinical development
• Experience with neuroscience clinical trial biomarker analysis
• Experience working as part of partnerships or client facing (consulting) teams

Working Location & Compensation:

This is an office-based, hybrid role in either our Salt Lake City or New York City offices. Employees are expected to work in the office at least 50% of the time.
