THE ROLE

As a Designated Support Engineer (DSE), you will be the technical anchor for our most strategic accounts, ensuring their mission-critical infrastructure thrives on the Everpure Platform. You will bridge the gap between complex technical troubleshooting and relationship management, acting as a trusted advisor who transforms potential disruptions into seamless operations. Joining a team with industry-leading NPS scores, you’ll collaborate closely with Engineering and Account teams to champion customer success and drive product excellence.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Drive Account Health and Stability: Act as the primary technical point of contact for named accounts, proactively identifying potential system risks and providing tailored architectural guidance to ensure long-term uptime.
• Orchestrate Complex Resolution: Lead the end-to-end troubleshooting of high-impact cases involving hardware, software, and environmental variables, ensuring a rapid return to service while maintaining professional, concise executive communications.
• Champion the Customer Voice: Represent customer needs in internal engineering reviews and lead high-stakes "hot" escalation calls, translating technical challenges into actionable product improvements.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a customer-facing and or technical support role
• Technical Troubleshooting Mastery: Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex issues within multi-platform environments, including deep knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows, VMware) and Storage Area Networks (SAN).

Role Description

• As an Senior Value Engineer specializing in the Energy Sector, you are pushing the envelope in solving business-critical problems for our strategic customers across utilities, oil & gas, and renewable energy. You will be working with our most strategic energy clients, understanding their unique objectives—from grid modernization and asset lifecycle management to navigating the energy transition—and building Celonis solutions using the world’s leading Process Intelligence (PI) platform in combination with the largest AI and ML technology partners, such as Microsoft, OpenAI, and Databricks.
  
  With Celonis’ Process Intelligence (PI) platform, we feed operational context to AI so it understands our customers’ complex business realities (bridging IT and OT systems) and enables them to industrialize AI, unlocking real ROI on deployments at scale. You will prototype these solutions, demonstrate their value to Energy Executives, and ensure successful implementation, adoption, and value realization in order to increase the footprint of Celonis across the global energy landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI Discovery & Solutioning: Understand energy customers' AI strategy and sector-specific challenges (e.g., predictive maintenance, outage management, supply chain resilience, or regulatory compliance). As a Celonis product and energy domain expert, find the best problem-solution fit and translate customer requirements into innovative solutions that move the needle.

• Pre- and Post-Sales Execution: Actively drive the full customer lifecycle. Lead technical discovery and capability demonstrations during the pre-sales cycle, and remain deeply involved post-sale to guide implementation, ensuring agreed value and adoption thresholds are successfully reached.

• Hackathons & Prototyping: Think out of the box, have a „can-do“ attitude, and don’t shy away from complex operational problems. Leverage cutting-edge AI technologies to rapidly build creative prototypes in customer hackathons, solving critical pain points specific to power generation, transmission, and O&G operations.

• Agentic Process Transformation: Support our customers in achieving real ROI out of AI deployments at scale, enabling a fundamental shift from traditional, rule-based automation to the use of autonomous AI agents empowered by our Celonis Process Intelligence Platform (e.g., intelligent field service routing or autonomous procurement).

• Proof Projects: End-to-end execution of business-critical Proof-of-Value projects. This includes architecting and delivering secure, scalable LLM/agent systems with RAG, tools, and guardrails, while seamlessly integrating with enterprise data, identity protocols, and stringent energy compliance frameworks.

• Domain & Industry Leadership: Serve as the internal and external technical subject matter expert for the Energy vertical, scaling knowledge across the organization regarding utilities, upstream/downstream oil & gas, and renewable energy processes.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience leading technical pre-sales and post-sales engagements specifically within the Energy sector (Utilities, Oil & Gas, and/or Renewables). This includes defining AI roadmaps, building compelling ROI/TCO business cases, and guiding technical implementations through to value realization.

• Deep understanding of business processes native to the Energy sector (such as Asset Management, Field Services, Supply Chain, Capital Projects, or Trading) with the ability to translate high-level business needs into specific, impactful AI use cases.

• Expertise in generative AI techniques like RAG, few-shot learning, prompt engineering, multi-agent orchestration, multimodal understanding, or fine-tuning used to build high-impact use cases (e.g., automated processing of engineering documents, regulatory filings, or intelligent diagnostic chatbots).

• Solid knowledge of Python and common ML libraries (such as LangChain, pandas, pydantic, sklearn, PyTorch) as well as data engineering tools and technologies relevant to handling large-scale industrial data.

• Strong presentation skills to both internal and external stakeholders (including C-level executives and operational leaders), whether leading technical whiteboarding sessions or formal readouts and demos.

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master's Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent work experience preferred.

Nice to have (big plus):

• Hands-on experience building agentic systems using LLM orchestration, RAG, function calling, and prompt engineering, while ensuring safety through rigorous evaluations and guardrails suited for highly regulated industries.

• Working knowledge of tools in the LLM ecosystem such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or other OSS packages.

• Experience in deploying and monitoring models at scale across major cloud platforms (AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, GCP Vertex) and familiarity with IT/OT convergence and industrial IoT data structures.

Position Overview  
Project Engineers will work as part of a project team to deliver various drainage design projects and permit application/processing needs for public and private clients across the Southeast and grow key relationships with new and existing clients. This work will include but is not limited to  

• Assessment of hydrologic & hydraulic characteristics of stormwater-related aspects of project sites 
• Hydrologic & hydraulic simulations of project sites based on agency-specific design storms 
• Research of previous permitting history & public records related to drainage design on project sites 
• Work with published watershed studies and/or create drainage simulations for a project’s local watershed  
• coordination and participation in agency pre-application meetings with permitting agencies 
• coordination with the site/civil design team on the application of drainage design on construction plans 
• coordination of permit applications and documentation 
• responses to questions/concerns presented by various permitting agencies,  
• construction observation  
• post-construction inspections.  

Key Responsibilities  

• Resolve complex technical problems, coach, train, and mentor design and CAD professionals, and work collaboratively with all team members on all aspects of project execution.  
• Design, analysis, and permitting for land development projects 
• Develop technical memos and stormwater design reports 
• Complete water quality/nutrient load analysis, Hydrograph routing, Riverine Modeling, FEMA Flood Studies, CLOMR/LOMR letters, and No-Rise certifications  
• Work by company standards, guiding the project team from the concept phase through construction administration for a variety of projects  
• Be willing to perform field work as necessary for hydrologic & hydraulic assessments, construction observation, and monitoring activities 
• Coordinate and oversee resource scheduling to ensure workload and deadlines are managed effectively

 Skills + Experience  

• Four-year bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from an accredited program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field  
• PE required or ability to obtain within 1 year or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of related experience and/or training
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS

As part of the 2nd Level Support Team you will take over the technical support (remote) of our global customers and partners for all questions related to our software. You will form the interface between our customers, partners and our customer success & delivery, development and product management organization. We are looking for someone eager to become an expert in Celonis Process Intelligence Software and to grow our Customer Support organization in our Raleigh office.

Position Overview

McAdams is seeking a Project Engineer for our growing Hydraulic Design practice. This position will be involved in the planning and design of drainage elements for multimodal transportation projects for public and private clients. Projects will include hydraulic design and hydrologic analysis for roadways, side paths/multi-use paths, sidewalks, greenways, bicycle lanes, and other facilities. The ideal candidate will be able to perform hydrology, hydraulic design, permitting, and erosion control for transportation projects.  This position will assist in maintaining project schedules, ensuring high quality deliverables at project milestones, performing quality control on their projects as well as other projects

Essential Functions + Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality projects on-time and on-budget to our clients.
• Design, review, and oversee production of plans, contract documents, specifications and costs estimates suitable for publicly bid projects.
• Design, review, and oversee production plans for offsite roadway improvements for public roads associated with private development projects.
• Coordinate with other McAdams’ service lines (geomatics, water resources, site civil, etc.) to develop project plans. Effectively manage subconsultants.
• Participate in field reviews of projects to support alignment development and recommendations.
• Assist in advancing projects through feasibility analysis, to design, permitting, and successful bidding.
• Oversee design, technical analyses, and engineering calculations and prepare plans, submittal packages and permitting applications.

Skills + Experience

• Knowledge of MicroStation/Geopak/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D production workflows
• Technical proficiency in preparing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and reports, scour investigations, erosion and sediment control plans and reports, drainage and stormwater management design
• HEC-RAS experience preferred

The Role

You are an AI Deployment Architect (AIDA). You own the reality of scaling solutions within a customer's actual IT environment and productizing those results. Complementing your colleagues in Applied Value Engineers and Applied AI Engineering, who focus on pre-sales prototyping, you bridge the gap between "the art of the possible" and Business Critical, scaled solutions. As an AIDA, you steer account teams and customers toward AI use cases that are inherently scalable. You are not the primary implementer of these solutions.
