Job Title: Network Implementation Engineer 

Overview: 

Pico is currently seeking Design and Implementation engineering candidates to deliver best in class engineering candidates to deliver low latency connectivity solutions    for Pico's clients and internal infrastructure projects in line with Pico's standards and strategic framework. Playing a key role in working  with other teams within the business, the Network Implementation Engineer will be a proactive, solutions-oriented engineer with highly developed organization and attention to detail skills. This individual will be responsible for working with our Service Operations (NOC) Team to ensure that all escalations are dealt with in a timely and effective manner, transferring knowledge and building skills among Service Operations Team. 

Responsibilities and duties (include but not limited to) 

• Design, deploy, and escalate problem resolution, for a large service provider network infrastructure 
• Perform daily checkouts of the environment and following any changes 
• Construct valid configurations for implementation based upon design and/or technical concepts 
• Support deployment and maintenance of Firewalls, network switches, routers, and other network appliances 
• Application of configuration changes via our change control systems and processes Perform peer review of configurations scheduled for deployment 
• Perform network infrastructure changes in a diligent and professional manner Participate in on-call rotation for support escalations 
• Troubleshoot internal and external customer issues related to changes Participate in daily meetings to review changes and under lying impacts 
• Work with network engineering team to design new client specific connectivity solutions Provide mentoring and guidance to other team members when required 

Education, Skills and background (incl. Education and Experience Requirements) 

• 7-10 years' experience deploying and supporting Firewall and Network equipment in a service provider environment or a large-scale Enterprise network 
• Experience with Fortinet and Cisco ASA hardware and software 
• Strong knowledge of IPSec VPN, NAT and managing firewall policy 
• Highly proficient in routing protocols: BGP 
• Knowledge of TCP, UDP and upper layer protocols 
• Experience with cross-connectivity to high-speed, ultra-low latency financial markets and venues 
• Familiarity with Ansible, Linux, Python 
• Ability to analyze and diagnose problems and effectively lead to system recovery Clear verbal and written communicator

• Take end-to-end ownership of incidents and service requests logged in the Pico ticketing system through to resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis of platform incidents and contribute to permanent fixes and preventative improvements.
• Deliver a high standard of operational service and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external customers.
• Interface with vendors, market participants, and financial exchanges to support platform operations and resolve technical issues.
• Remotely coordinate and validate on-site hardware installations, replacements, and repairs.
• Execute preventative maintenance activities, including server operating system patching and firmware upgrades, to maintain platform security and reliability.
• Develop and maintain automation using scripting and configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible) to support platform deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance.

The Role

We are looking for an Salesforce Developer to deliver various projects across the Salesforce platform. You will be responsible for taking requirements from our Product Development team and leading the design and development of both changes to existing features and new features in the Salesforce environment involving Apex, Lightning Web Components, and other integrations.

You will develop custom applications, Apex and web components, to implement scalable solutions in collaboration with other Salesforce administrators and development teams across the Pico organisation.

You will participate in sprint planning and estimation, and daily scrum meetings to report progress and resolve any issues. You will ensure high quality delivery with automated unit tests and manual integration testing in our UAT environment.

Required Skills

• Expertise in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components
• Experience with the Salesforce data model and environment
• Experience with RESTful web services including Salesforce APIs
• Automated unit-testing and integration testing
• Knowledge of UI design principles, web standards and cross browser capabilities

THE ROLE - Senior Full Stack Engineer

This is a great opportunity to work in a small close-knit team, collaborating with other teams, on a world class analytics platform, to deliver new updates, visualisations, and integrations in a responsive and agile environment.

You will be exposed to the full product lifecycle, designing, developing, and testing new features for our product, features that involve both server side and front-end development as well as integrations with Pico, or 3^rd Party APIs over REST or SOAP. Past collaborations with other teams have included working with our Data Science team to deliver cutting-edge Machine Learning based features to customers.

Our front-end stack is built up using Web Components and Angular, backend integrations with Python and Java, in a modular implementation environment, to enable making immediate and meaningful additions to the feature set of the product.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Experience developing in a Unix environment using Python and Java

Responsibilities :

• Design and develop cloud-based backend services responsible for configuration, provisioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management of network switches and Wi‑Fi access points. 

• Build scalable and secure REST and gRPC APIs using Python and/or Go to enable device onboarding, policy management, telemetry ingestion, and cloud orchestration. 

• Implement backend workflows for device configuration management, firmware upgrades, policy rollout, and real‑time state synchronization between cloud and network devices. 

• Develop cloud‑native microservices ensuring high availability, scalability, fault tolerance, and performance across globally distributed deployments. 

• Collaborate with frontend, platform, networking, and QA teams to deliver reliable end‑to‑end cloud‑managed networking solutions. 

Requirements :

• Strong backend development experience using Python and/or Go, including designing and maintaining REST/gRPC‑based service architectures. 

• Experience building cloud‑native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP using microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. 

• Hands‑on experience with network device management systems, including switches, Wi‑Fi access points, or cloud‑managed networking platforms. 

• Solid experience working with databases (SQL/NoSQL), distributed data stores, and large‑scale telemetry, metrics, and event processing systems. 

• Working knowledge of networking and security fundamentals, including certificates, encryption, authentication, and firewall/UTM concepts. 

Additional Skills (Nice to Have) 

• Frontend development experience using Vue.js, with familiarity in React or React Native. 

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript. 

• Exposure to Wi‑Fi Network Manager systems, controller‑less or cloud‑managed architectures.
