Role Overview
The Senior Finance Controller -India, will own end-to-end financial operations for OpenFX’s India entity, building the finance function from the ground up. This role is responsible for establishing payroll, accounts payable, local treasury, and statutory compliance infrastructure, creating a scalable foundation as India operations grow.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this individual will operate as the senior finance leader on the ground in Bangalore, partnering closely with the global finance team to ensure alignment with group-level controls, reporting standards, and strategic priorities.
Core Responsibilities
- Grow and maintain the India finance function end-to-end: payroll processing, accounts payable, expense management, and vendor payments
- Evaluate the current outsourced accounting arrangements and decide whether to retain, restructure, or bring capabilities in-house
- Establish local treasury operations, including cash management, bank relationships, and fund transfers between India and group entities
- Implement and maintain India-specific financial controls, policies, and approval workflows
Payroll & Employee Operations
- Own the full payroll cycle for the India entity, ensuring accurate and timely salary disbursement, tax withholdings, and statutory deductions (PF, ESI, PT, TDS)
- Manage payroll vendor relationships and ensure compliance with local labor and tax regulations
- Coordinate with HR on new hires, terminations, bonus payments, and variable pay processing
Statutory Compliance & Tax
- Ensure timely filing and compliance with all Indian statutory requirements: GST returns, TDS returns, PF/ESI filings, professional tax, and advance tax payments
- Own monthly payroll tax review and reconciliation
- Manage quarterly VAT claims and returns, corporate tax computations and accruals
- Coordinate annual corporate tax returns, R&D tax claims, and other regulatory filings
- Partner with external auditors and tax advisors to support statutory audits and transfer pricing documentation
Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate books for the India entity under Indian GAAP (and support US GAAP consolidation)
- Deliver monthly close for the India entity within group timelines, including intercompany reconciliations
- Provide regular financial reporting to the global finance team, including variance analysis and commentary
- Ensure audit-ready financial records and strong documentation practices
Local Treasury & Banking
- Manage India banking relationships, account structures, and signatory controls
- Oversee local cash positioning, fund requisitions from the group, and foreign exchange exposures
- Implement cash flow forecasting for India operations
Qualifications

- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification
- 8–10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role managing India entity finance end-to-end
- Deep expertise in Indian statutory compliance (GST, TDS, PF/ESI, Companies Act)
- Experience building finance operations from scratch in a high-growth or startup environment
- Strong understanding of Indian payroll, local treasury, and banking operations
- Experience working with global teams and multi-entity structures
- Fintech, payments, or financial services industry experience strongly preferred
- Hands-on, builder mindset — comfortable operating without a large team initially

You Will
- Perform month end accounting processes to support rapid global growth

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has
- An accountancy qualification (e.g CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 8+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Degree in Accounting or Finance background
- Proven experience in the monthly close process, journal preparation and posting, audit, and exposure to accounting systems.
- Experience in month end reporting and analytics
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- The ability to bring structure to ambiguous areas of opportunity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment
- Strong analytical skills and strong knowledge of Excel.
- Knowledge of data modeling or experience in any analytics tool will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
As a Finance Director, you will:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulatory requirements for regulated operations (under PA-CB license by the RBI), including, but not limited to;
- Carrying out cash management controls by working with relevant finance/Treasury teams to prepare daily reports, updating the cash management file, and sending confirmation at the end of each day.
- Familiarise with finance-related regulatory requirements, keeping controls, policies and procedures up to date in accordance with regulatory changes, including interpreting and recommending GST treatment, through working with Tax, Legal, and Compliance teams.
- Prepare and/or assist with regulatory reporting in India, reconciling opening-closing balances and transactions, and exchange rates, ensuring reports are submitted to regulators in a timely manner
- Work with relevant teams to design and implement fund flows to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including ensuring that money transmissions are completed within the timeline as required by the regulations and that books/records are updated.
- As the financial responsible person for Payoneer’s licensed entity in India, to liaise with authorities related to statutory financial reporting, tax and matters related to it.
- Ensure timely submission of forms and periodical reports to authorities
- Execute internal control over financial reporting activities and maintain appropriate documentation
- Support accounting and financial review of the full GL of Payoneer India’s Payment Aggregator – Cross Border (PA-CB) licensed entity, as prepared by the local accounting outsourced vendor
- Support global teams to form statutory budgets and project cash flows for license requirements
- Support audits of local annual financial statements, partnering with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (post-graduate degree a plus), with a minimum of 8 years of proven working experience in finance/accounting
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in regulatory reporting - RBI, financial compliance or finance regulation within the fintech or financial services sector
- Experience in financial technology, banking and/or financial institution an added advantage
- Entrepreneurial drive, strong business mindset, and able to work with minimal guidance
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in written and spoken English, capable of working closely with various members of management and operational teams across the organisation and the globe

- Maintain audit‑ready workpapers and robust documentation for all assigned accounts and processes, including detailed schedules and support required for statutory audits.
- Lead and support internal, external, and statutory audits by preparing PBCs, coordinating with external auditors and technical accounting consultants, walking through processes, and resolving queries for US entity accounting areas.
- Contribute to the design, execution, and documentation of key controls over financial reporting, including reconciliation controls, review controls, and segregation of duties.
- Work closely with FP&A, Tax, Payroll, Legal, and Business Operations to ensure accurate accounting outcomes and smooth operational handoffs.
- Provide clear, business‑focused explanations of financial impacts, balance sheet movements, and P&L trends to non‑finance stakeholders.
- Support tax and treasury teams with schedules and analyses related to fixed assets, investments, deposits, and other US entity balances.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to shorten close timelines and reduce manual work (e.g., standardized reconciliations, templates, and checklists).
- Leverage ERP and related finance systems (e.g., NetSuite) to improve data integrity, automate recurring entries, and enhance reporting.
- Contribute to SOPs and playbooks for US entity accounting activities, ensuring consistency, scalability, and strong controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Active US CPA qualification is mandatory (qualified CPA with current or eligible status).
- Typically 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience in core accounting/GL roles, including: Strong exposure to US GAAP and US entity accounting; and direct responsibility for core GL areas such as equity , fixed assets, investments, deposits, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Prior experience in a Big 4 / large public accounting firm or high‑growth technology/SaaS company is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of owning GL areas, month‑end close, and supporting external and statutory audits, including preparation of audit-ready schedules and effective coordination with auditors.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP for core balance sheet and P&L areas, including fixed assets, long‑term assets, and equity.
- Solid experience with fixed asset accounting, including capitalization policies, componentization, depreciation methods, and impairment considerations.
- Experience with investments and deposits accounting, including reconciliations and related disclosures.
- Knowledge of equity accounting and disclosure requirements.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred) and advanced Excel (lookups, pivots, modeling, reconciliations).
- High attention to detail with a controls‑first mindset and strong documentation discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain accounting topics in simple, business‑oriented language.

Accounting
- Lead and Own U.S. Accounts Receivable for the Company

- Own the cloud security posture management program (CSPM) and concentrate efforts on continuous improvement of the cloud security configurations aligned to global standards like NIST CSF, ISO 27001, ISO 31000, Cloud Security Alliance, etc.
- Uplift & evolve detection policies on CSPM to optimize detection capabilities and draft technical standards for remediation on vulnerabilities identified on the cloud stack.

- Design and develop frameworks and solutions to secure CI/CD pipelines.
- Test, review, and implement container security on GKE, EKS, or AKS.
- Work in synergy with infra/product engineering teams in defining baseline security configuration, build continuous visibility for detecting misconfigurations/ vulnerabilities reported by CSPM and mature remediation practices.
- Provide SME in the analysis, assessment, development, and evaluation of security solutions and architectures to secure applications, operating systems, databases, and networks.
- Work with cloud vendors and external security researchers to resolve security gaps in InMobi’s Cloud.
- Develop, monitor, and manage cloud performance & hygiene metrics (KCI, KPI, KRI).
- Prepare and deliver training and security awareness activities to the Engineering teams.
What is expected of you?
- 7 years of experience in the Cloud security domain.
- Hands-on experience with Azure/AWS/GCP security best practices and services.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization, Docker, containers, and their orchestration with its challenges.
- Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes (PSP, N/W policy, admission controller, etc.)

- Resolve any problems existing in the system and suggest and add new features in the complete system.
- Suggest space and time efficient Data Structures.
- Follow the best practices while developing the app and also keeping everything structured and well documented.
- Use CI/CD for smooth deployment.
- Document the project and code efficiently.
- Manage the code and project on Git in order to keep in sync with other team members and managers.
- Communicate with the Project Manager regarding status of projects and suggest appropriate deadlines for new functionalities.
- Ensure security guidelines are always followed while developing the app.
- Validate the cloud system to ensure any new changes do not compromise security of the backend server.
- Suggest new features and/or enhancements.
- Maintaining software through product lifecycle including design, development, verification and bug fixes.
- Connect regularly with the Quality Assurance Specialist to deliver stable app.
- Resolve all the bugs reported by the Quality Assurance Specialist in a timely manner.
- Perform time profiling and memory leaks assessment.
- Execute app verification protocol.
- Write tests for the App.
- Following company policies and quality procedures to ensure quality product deliverables.
To succeed in this role, you should have
- 5 years plus combined Mobile Development Experience
- Flutter: To build cross platform mobile apps for Android, IOS and Web. This should include from making responsive UIs to efficiently query data and also manage states in an optimized manner.
- Native Android (Kotlin preferably) and IOS: To build custom Flutter Packages.
- Firebase: Should have experience with Cloud Firestore, Push Notifications, Cloud Functions and Analytics.
- Figma: Should know how to use Figma to analyse and view the designs to build the app
- Git: To manage and collaborate in different projects with the rest of the team.
- Ability to provide a portfolio showing projects solely worked on upon request
- Bachelors Degree in a related field

Role Summary
Design, implement, and ship Bluetooth Controller firmware across BLE (Link Layer/MAC) and Bluetooth Classic (BR/EDR LM behaviors) on our SoCs. Work spans bring-up, timing & reliability, test/qualification, and cross-functional debug with RF, systems, and QA—hands-on from lab benches to release.
Key Responsibilities
- Firmware development (Controller): Implement and maintain controller features aligned to Bluetooth Core Spec 5.x and 6.x for BLE and Bluetooth Classic.
- Bring-up & stabilization: Bring up features on FPGA/eval boards/silicon; tune timing/latency paths in RTOS environments for BLE and Classic.
- Test & qualification support: support certification/interop; analyze sniffer/HCI logs and close issues with clear root cause.
- System-level debugging: Triage issues across firmware, drivers, and basic RF interactions; collaborate with Hardware/RF, Systems, and QA to land fixes.
- Tooling & automation: Contribute HCI test scripts, utilities, and CI checks that improve repeatability and coverage.
- Maintenance: Participate in code reviews, documentation, and sustaining engineering for released features.
Core Competencies
- Hands-on experience in Bluetooth controller firmware with understanding of BLE LL/MAC and Bluetooth Classic LM procedures.
- Strong embedded C skills (interrupts, memory-safe coding, RTOS concurrency).
- Comfort with UART/SPI/I²C and board bring-up workflows.
- Ability to work with sniffer/HCI logs (BLE and Classic) and embedded debuggers; strong analytical and troubleshooting ability.
- Organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and effective in cross-functional teams.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
Qualifications (Requirements)
- E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in ECE/EE/CS (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5–9 years of embedded firmware experience on MCUs/SoCs with RTOS.
- Proficiency in C, version control, code reviews, and CI basics.
- Experience developing to Bluetooth Core Spec 5.x and 6.x at the controller level—covering BLE LL/MAC and exposure to Bluetooth Classic BR/EDR LM procedures.
- Exposure to system test, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of Bluetooth products.
- Basic RF awareness.
- Coexistence basics (Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth) and lab tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, power meter).
- Familiarity with open Bluetooth ecosystems (e.g., Zephyr/NimBLE).
