Qualifications

The BOD (Basis of Design) Program Manager is responsible for the leadership, planning and execution of multiple high priority and/or strategic BOD Projects; high-flow production orders in an engineer to order environment. This role ensures that all Engineering-related milestones (Design Reviews, Design Releases, Production Readiness Reviews, etc.) are completed on time and to the highest standards of quality. The BOD Program Manager will lead, manage and collaborate cross-functionally among Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Senior Management.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation

1. Engineering Support

• Confirm UR components are correctly selected and within applicable UL files.
• Own major technical reviews that require deeper analysis, research, and justification to meet challenging design or specification requirements.

1. Order Review

• Review order entry and acknowledgment forms against the approved quote, CDE, specifications, and single‑line diagrams; identify discrepancies early and work with Engineering to define technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Sales to review “show‑stopper” items identified during Tier‑2 review that cannot be resolved without customer buy‑in.
• Define technically sound alternatives, articulate risks and constraints, and support customer discussions as needed.

1. Customer Support (Post‑Sales)

• Address advanced customer questions on submittals, dimensional changes, and specification clarifications that are not yet formal service issues.
• Provide troubleshooting guidance on equipment based on drawings, settings, and documentation prior to Service engagement.
• Lead complex customer escalations involving design interpretation, protection & controls performance, or systemic issues.

We are building hardware that has to survive real ocean conditions. That means constant prototyping, welding, fabrication, and iteration. Our shop is not a support function, it is central to the company’s success. As a Senior Prototype Engineer, Welding, you will design and build prototype and flight hardware, develop fixturing and production processes, and help shape the long-term capabilities of our shop.

You will work side-by-side with engineers and machinists to turn concepts into hardware quickly and correctly. You will own weldments and assemblies from drawing to finished part, provide direct DFM feedback to design engineers, and help ensure the shop runs safely and efficiently. Good work in this role looks like strong hardware, clean welds, practical fixtures, clear documentation, and a shop that gets better every month.

Responsibilities

• Design and manufacture prototype and production hardware using welding, machining, CAD, and additive processes

About the Job

Our main product is called a “node” - a large steel structure that translates ocean waves into energy while deployed at sea. You will own the interface between our engineering team and external steel fabricators building our nodes and large structural assemblies. This role is about getting real hardware built—translating designs into fabrication, resolving issues on the shop floor, and keeping projects moving on aggressive timelines.

You’ll work closely with suppliers and internal engineers to make sure designs are buildable, builds stay on track, and what comes out of the shop matches intent. We are seeking an NX Design Engineer to serve as the technical authority for engineering documentation and release. While the broader engineering team owns the hardware in the full lifecycle, you will own the standards of excellence for how that hardware is defined and released.

We are looking for a skilled Assistant Chief Engineer to assist the Senior Chief Engineer in directing the engineering departments operations (providing technical and administrative support), preplanning mechanical preventive maintenance, and supervising and directing maintenance personnel in installation, repair, and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. This role is specifically focused on bridging quality on in-house charging station production to ensure both hardware and software meet the company’s quality standards. The QA Engineer will work closely with charging station developers, mechanical engineers, and software engineers to ensure that charging stations are thoroughly tested with an emphasis on quality across the product stack.

In addition to traditional QA responsibilities, this role includes hands-on validation of charging station hardware and real-world system behavior. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with physical devices, executing real charging scenarios, and validating how software, firmware, and hardware interact under real operating conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain test plans and test cases based on product requirements and system behavior.
• Perform testing across integrated systems (device + backend + application), ensuring correct behavior across system interactions.

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer, Electromechanical Integration to design, build, and commission control systems and mechanical hardware for our large-scale test facilities. This role spans the complete lifecycle - from CAD design and electrical schematics through panel fabrication, assembly, and commissioning - bridging mechanical and electrical engineering.

You'll collaborate closely with other engineers and designers across disciplines to determine system requirements, design hardware, and integrate mechanical and electronics systems into functional assemblies. Your work will ensure our test infrastructure operates safely, meets industrial standards, and performs reliably in demanding environments.

You'll also get hands-on; assembling, wiring, and machining parts to bring ideas into functional prototypes and final hardware. Within your first year, you'll be a trusted contributor to critical builds and a go-to resource for practical design and integration expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design and fabricate electrical control panels, enclosures, and wiring harnesses for test systems; select components, cables, and connectors
• Create electrical schematics, P&IDs (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams), interconnect drawings, and panel layouts; document designs, build processes, and test procedures for production and repeatability
• Program and commission PLCs, configure VFDs, and design Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems for test equipment control
• Design mechanical hardware, assemblies, and fixtures using 3D CAD software; create fabrication drawings and provide DFM/DFA feedback
• Perform electrical troubleshooting, system integration debugging, and resolve hardware issues
• Execute basic mechanical fabrication tasks including machining, assembly, and integration of electromechanical systems

Required Qualifications

We are seeking a Fleet Operations Lead Engineer to join our team and provide technical leadership for the operation of the autonomous wave power generator we call a "Node". The Node is a device designed to produce energy in the harshest ocean conditions for extended periods without maintenance. This role is crucial to our success; you will be responsible for ensuring that all individual nodes and the node fleet operate safety and optimally. You will bring together the fleet control software, marine ops, node controllers, and customer interface.

You will be responsible for the design of fleet ops from key requirements to architecting the operations protocols and standards, to fleet management, monitoring and repositioning.

Responsibilities

• Accountability: Own Node Fleet at-sea operations from initial deployment to decommissioning.
• Provide key input to the fleet control software team to inform GUI design, layouts, and standards. Update and design GUI using simple GUI design tools
• Work with fleet simulation team to set geographic boundaries and design fleet movement strategies to maximize power production
• Design and run the node operator qualification standard and training program
• Ensure nodes do not stray into major shipping lanes or shallow water.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will build the systems that allow us to make our hardware in-house—reliably, repeatably, and at scale. This role owns the design and stand-up of work centers, process flows, test architecture, and production documentation for complex electromechanical assemblies and precision turbomachinery components.

You will partner closely with Design Engineering to understand new components and assemblies, translate them into practical production systems, and help shape our factory ramp strategy. We are building this function from the ground up. You’ll help define how we build.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and improve manufacturing and test processes that deliver high quality and high throughput
• Design and procure assembly tooling and fixtures that improve ergonomics, efficiency, and quality control
• Lead root cause analysis for manufacturing issues; improve yield, reduce cost, and close technical gaps during production
• Build production work cells from scratch, including SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation
• Establish process controls and support quality systems to meet ISO 9001 and internal quality requirements
• Partner with Design Engineering to provide clear, practical DFM feedback on new products
• Collaborate with Logistics and Production to design inventory control processes, implement kanban systems, and define handling procedures
• Support Supply Chain with make vs. buy analysis and vendor technical feedback

We’re looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Integrated Subsystems to own the strategy, processes, and day-to-day execution needed to manufacture and test our integrated electromechanical systems at high quality and increasing volume. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will help stand up production capability from the ground up by turning new designs into buildable processes, developing tooling and test workflows, and creating the foundation for a scalable manufacturing line. You will partner closely with Design Engineering, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Production, and Logistics to drive smooth New Product Introduction (NPI), improve throughput, and build a system that can scale with the company.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and improve manufacturing and test processes for integrated electromechanical assemblies and pressure vessels, ensuring high quality, efficiency, and safety
  • Develop or procure tooling, rigging, and lift fixtures to improve ergonomics, efficiency, safety, and quality control
  • Support quality control initiatives and establish process controls to improve yield and meet quality management system requirements. Support and or lead efforts to build production SOPs
