About The Job

We are seeking a Senior Fluids Engineer to play a critical role in the design and development of the fluid systems that power our core technology, the “Node.” The Node is designed to operate in some of the harshest ocean conditions for extended periods without maintenance, and fluid systems are central to its performance and reliability.

In this role, you will own the design and delivery of critical fluid subsystems and components, working within the broader system architecture to ensure performance, reliability, and manufacturability. You will contribute deep technical expertise across design, analysis, testing, and deployment, partnering closely with mechanical design, manufacturing, and test teams.

This role is ideal for a highly capable engineer who thrives in hands-on technical work, enjoys solving complex problems, and is motivated to build robust, real-world systems. You will have significant ownership over your work while collaborating closely with senior technical leaders to refine system-level design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and development of critical fluid subsystems and components across all phases (concept through deployment).
• Perform detailed design and analysis, including material selection, sizing, and system integration.
• Collaborate with staff and senior engineers to refine system architecture and integration strategies.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical decision-making.
• Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure high-quality fabrication and assembly.
• Produce clear engineering documentation, including drawings and GD&T.
• Partner with testing teams to validate performance and iterate based on test and field data.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, naval architecture, marine engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience designing components and subsystems for fluid systems across a range of applications.
• 7–10+ years of 3D CAD modeling experience.
• Experience with complex, safety-critical, or high-performance fluid systems.
• Strong engineering fundamentals, including hand calculations and simulation tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and external partners.
• Experience contributing to multiple design-build-test cycles for complex systems.

• Advanced degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent additional experience.

About the Job

Reporting directly to the EVP Strategy, you will support and contribute to the company’s work across capital formation, investor relations, communications, and commercial partnerships. The EVP covers a lot of ground — fundraising, PR, and customer and partner engagement — and you will be embedded in all of it, learning fast and producing real work from day one. This includes but is not limited to:

• Manage the EVP’s calendar, travel, and meeting logistics — and handle personal administrative tasks as needed. This is a high-trust, no-task-too-small role, and keeping the EVP’s day running smoothly is foundational to everything else
• Prepare briefing documents, talking points, and background materials ahead of meetings so the EVP walks into every room fully up to speed
• Draft presentations, one-pagers, and pitch materials in PowerPoint, Keynote, or Figma, translating complex ideas into clear, compelling decks
• Update and collaborate on financial models in Excel and Google Sheets (unit economics, scenario analyses, financing structures) and produce clean data visualizations that simplify complex information
• Draft high volumes of written communications: follow-up emails, investor updates, partner correspondence, and internal memos that keep workflows moving across many relationships
• Maintain and organize the EVP’s CRM of investors, partners, and key contacts — track engagement, flag priorities, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks
• Support PR and communications efforts alongside internal and external communications teams, including drafting content, coordinating media and partner outreach, and contributing to social media strategy and execution
• Help with preparation, logistics, and follow-up for board meetings, investor touchpoints, and commercial partner engagements

This is a high-agency, high-trust position on a lean team commercializing a once-in-a-generation technology. We’re looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our IT team to provide dedicated end-user support at Panthalassa. You’ll be responsible for supporting laptops (Windows, macOS, Linux), mobile devices (Android, iOS), and other workplace technologies (A/V systems, printers, peripherals, and network patching). You’ll play a critical role in keeping our team productive day-to-day, while also helping us shape the long-term vision for corporate technology.

This is a people-first technical role. You’ll be the go-to resource for troubleshooting and support, but you’ll also document processes, create knowledge base articles, and help design the support systems that future IT hires will rely on. What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary point of contact for end-user support, resolving issues with laptops, phones, A/V systems, printers, and other technology.
• Track, manage, and resolve requests in tickets (Jira Service Management), with intake via Slack, Jira, or walk-ups.

About the Job

We are building hardware that has to survive real ocean conditions. That means constant prototyping, welding, fabrication, and iteration. Our shop is not a support function, it is central to the company’s success. As a Senior Prototype Engineer, Welding, you will design and build prototype and flight hardware, develop fixturing and production processes, and help shape the long-term capabilities of our shop.

You will work side-by-side with engineers and machinists to turn concepts into hardware quickly and correctly. You will own weldments and assemblies from drawing to finished part, provide direct DFM feedback to design engineers, and help ensure the shop runs safely and efficiently. Good work in this role looks like strong hardware, clean welds, practical fixtures, clear documentation, and a shop that gets better every month.

Responsibilities

• Design and manufacture prototype and production hardware using welding, machining, CAD, and additive processes
• Fabricate and weld structural assemblies from engineering drawings
• Develop and document production processes, work instructions, and shop capabilities
• Provide direct DFM feedback to design engineers to improve manufacturability and cost
• Design and build fixturing to support repeatable fabrication and assembly
• Maintain shop organization, tooling systems, and equipment readiness

About the Job

Our core technology is the Node, a device that produces energy in the ocean’s harshest conditions for years at a time without human maintenance or intervention. The Marine Operations group manages our Nodes from the time they finish fabrication, through their deployments, until they are retired from service. This includes designing support equipment, coordinating activities with port authorities and transport companies, and executing the test plans in calm water and open ocean environments. 

As the Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Marine Operations, you’ll be embedded with this technical team, translating test objectives into execution plans, coordinating the network of supporting vendors, and collaborating with the other Node TPMs to ensure support equipment is ready as each Node finishes fabrication.

Additionally, you’ll be collaborating with the other TPMs in the company to collectively determine how we manage schedules, risks, and configuration changes, and implement company-wide best practices for technical program management at Panthalassa. Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and be able to thrive in a creative, scrappy, and collaborative environment in which the best ideas change the company’s direction on a regular basis. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage project milestone schedules for the Marine Operations team, ensuring clear communication of status, risks, and dependencies to internal stakeholders.

• Collaborate with external suppliers and fabrication partners to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of components.
• Coordinate with external marine logistics partners and deployment vendors.
• Act as a liaison between mechanical, electrical, software, systems, and manufacturing teams to drive alignment and efficient execution.
• Monitor and escalate program risks, while proactively contributing to mitigation strategies.
• Drive the change management system for Marine Operations-managed scope, from ideation through fabrication and deployment.
• Develop and maintain documentation and tools that support program execution and scaling, in alignment with TPM best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience managing technical development programs, including directly coordinating major events such as first time integration, test campaign execution, or commissioning activities.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to meet aggressive program timelines.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals relevant to marine systems (welded structures, mechanical assemblies, hydraulics/pneumatics, industrial automation & data acquisition, etc.)
• Experience coordinating with external vendors and fabrication partners.
• Familiarity with change management systems and configuration control processes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.

We’re hiring a Director of Information Security to scale and mature the security foundations that will allow the company to scale quickly without losing control.

This is a hands-on, high-leverage builder role. You will own the technical direction of Panthalassa’s information security program across corporate infrastructure, cloud environments, engineering systems, identity and access management, enterprise applications, and security operations. Your job is not to create bureaucracy. Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering, infrastructure security, platform security, or a closely related domain
• Strong hands-on experience securing cloud and enterprise environments, including identity, networking, endpoints, SaaS, and logging/monitoring systems
• Experience building and operating security controls in modern engineering environments, including CI/CD pipelines, source control platforms, infrastructure as code, and developer tooling
• Deep knowledge of identity and access management, including SSO, MFA, RBAC, provisioning/deprovisioning, and privileged access design
• Proven experience leading vulnerability management and remediation programs in a fast-moving engineering environment
• Experience designing security architectures and making high-quality tradeoff decisions in complex, ambiguous settings
• Ability to move fluidly between strategic planning and hands-on execution

Our core technology is the node, a device that produces energy in the ocean’s harshest conditions for years at a time without human maintenance or intervention.

This role leads pilot production: the place where new designs turn into real builds. You will start as a hands-on individual contributor working across Portland-area facilities as we grow. Early on, your focus will be building the systems that make pilot production work: schedules, dashboards, and workflows that keep builds moving from first article testing to tight-turnaround production runs.

As we grow, you will build and lead a small production team. Our main product is called a “node” - a large steel structure that translates ocean waves into energy while deployed at sea. You will own the interface between our engineering team and external steel fabricators building our nodes and large structural assemblies. This role is about getting real hardware built—translating designs into fabrication, resolving issues on the shop floor, and keeping projects moving on aggressive timelines.

You’ll work closely with suppliers and internal engineers to make sure designs are buildable, builds stay on track, and what comes out of the shop matches intent. • Be responsible for the design of high-reliability electronics throughout their lifecycle by working with a team of engineers.

We are developing a core technology that will operate in the worst conditions the world’s oceans have to offer for years at a time without human maintenance or intervention. As we advance our technology from the prototype phase to commercialization, we need an engineer who can bridge the gap between real-world sensor data and our internal simulation tools. • Build and maintain the automated process that initializes device states using sensor readings to run real-time simulations in active wave states.
• Develop tools and dashboards that visualize live sensor telemetry side-by-side with simulation outputs for fleet-wide performance monitoring.

• 8+ years designing and delivering wiring/cabling/interconnect systems for subsea, offshore, or other harsh environments.
• Expertise in subsea interconnects: wet-mate/dry-mate connectors, penetrators, pressure housings, cable terminations.
• Strong understanding of hydrostatic pressure, corrosion, fatigue, bend-radius management, and long-term reliability.
• Proficiency with electrical/wiring design tools — Zuken E3 preferred — and producing manufacturing-ready documentation.
• Experience leading technical efforts, reviewing designs, interfacing with vendors, and driving decisions through integration and testing.

Desired

• Depth in harsh-environment sealing, cable armor/strain-relief strategies, and serviceability for field swaps.
• Hands-on exposure to production ramp and DFM/DFA for wiring looms in industrial/marine hardware.

About the Job

Our core technology is the node, a device that produces energy in the ocean’s harshest conditions for years at a time without human maintenance or intervention. A node consists of a fabricated steel structure outfitted with the electromechanical systems necessary to harness the energy we generate and to control the node at sea.

We’re looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Integrated Subsystems to own the strategy, processes, and day-to-day execution needed to manufacture and test our integrated electromechanical systems at high quality and increasing volume. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will help stand up production capability from the ground up by turning new designs into buildable processes, developing tooling and test workflows, and creating the foundation for a scalable manufacturing line. You will partner closely with Design Engineering, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Production, and Logistics to drive smooth New Product Introduction (NPI), improve throughput, and build a system that can scale with the company.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and improve manufacturing and test processes for integrated electromechanical assemblies and pressure vessels, ensuring high quality, efficiency, and safety
  • Develop or procure tooling, rigging, and lift fixtures to improve ergonomics, efficiency, safety, and quality control
  • Support quality control initiatives and establish process controls to improve yield and meet quality management system requirements. Support and or lead efforts to build production SOPs
  • Lead efforts to establish procedures for critical and heavy lift plans, and partner with production to train teams on safe execution. Define and implement safety features in production workspaces as needed
• Collaborate closely with R&D and Design Engineering teams to transition new products from design to production, focusing on design for manufacturability, testability, and traceability
• Work with supply chain and logistics teams to support inventory control processes, implement kanban systems, select key vendors, establish handling procedures, and ensure timely delivery of components.
  • Support make versus buy decisions with engineering analysis
  • Be a technical point of contact for contract manufacturing partners
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for manufacturing issues, improve yields, reduce costs, and resolve technical challenges that arise during production
• Define the manufacturing strategy and roadmap for in-house production of these assemblies, including facilities planning, equipment selection, and workflow optimization
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to execute and validate these strategies

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with direct experience supporting integrated electromechanical subsystems
• Proven track record of delivering results, meeting production deadlines, and managing projects within budget
• Proficiency in design for manufacturing (DFM) and process development for complex assemblies
• Experience developing and implementing manufacturing strategies, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and design of experiments (DOE) for process improvement
• Experience developing or improving acceptance and test procedures, including test workflow optimization
• Working knowledge of quality management systems and production standards (e.g., ISO 9001) in an engineering and manufacturing context
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with tooling, rigging, and lift fixture design to support safe and efficient production
• Proven experience building, leading, and mentoring engineering teams in a scaling production environment
• Experience with integrated system electrical testing and leak testing processes and procedures
• Experience with integrated system electrical checkouts for high voltage electronics and mechanical proof testing procedures
• Experience working in ESD-compliant or ISO-compliant production environments
• Experience working in both prototyping/R&D and scaled production environments
