This is a critical role responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payroll for all employees. The Ideal Qualifications for this Position Include:
- US Payroll Expert: Extensive experience managing US payroll (multi-state experience is non-negotiable).
- System Power User: High proficiency in payroll systems, such as ADP WorkforceNow, Kronos/Ukg, and Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, Macros).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPP certification is a massive plus).

- Lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or related UI frameworks), C#, XAML, and — when needed — C++.
- Define and enforce best-practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase: code architecture, performance, memory usage, responsive UI, cross-version compatibility (Windows 10/11+), and maintainability.
- Drive accessibility efforts: integrate and validate support for accessibility APIs (e.g. Microsoft UI Automation or other relevant Windows accessibility frameworks), ensure UI controls, focus management, keyboard navigation, screen-reader support, and usability for users with disabilities.
- Collaborate closely with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and other stakeholders to shape feature planning, UI/UX architecture, and long-term roadmap for the Windows platform.
- Take ownership of full lifecycle of features: conception → design → implementation → testing → release → maintenance. Ensure quality, reliability, and consistency across releases.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering issues, or compatibility problems — and propose robust architectural or design solutions.
Required:
- 3+ in Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or similar), C#, XAML — and ideally additional experience with native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM).
- Deep understanding of Windows application architecture, including interop between managed code (.NET) and native code.
- Proven track record of designing, building, and shipping production-quality desktop applications, with an emphasis on reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Strong experience with accessibility APIs on Windows (e.g. Microsoft UI Automation or similar), and a dedication to building accessible and inclusive software.
- Excellent software engineering fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multi-threading or asynchronous programming (where relevant).
- Experience leading technical design, mentoring other engineers, conducting code reviews, and making architecture-level decisions.
- Strong communication skills; ability to articulate tradeoffs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive consensus.
- A user-centric mindset: focus on building polished, intuitive, and accessible experiences for end users.
Preferred / Bonus:
- Experience with writing automated tests for UI — unit tests, integration tests, UI automation tests; familiarity with relevant testing frameworks.
- Experience with performance optimization for desktop apps (memory usage, startup time, rendering performance, high-DPI support, responsiveness under load).
- Experience with localization/globalization, right-to-left UI support, internationalization, accessibility for multiple regions.
- Familiarity with telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, logging, and error monitoring in desktop applications.
- Previous experience in shaping CI/CD workflows, release pipelines, and deployment strategies for desktop applications.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of feature areas or modules and drive them long-term, including maintenance, refactoring, and technical debt management.

Who You Are
HomeLight, a fast-growing Series D company, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support end-to-end payroll operations across multiple entities. This role owns accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while partnering closely with HR and Finance. You’ll play a key role in maintaining payroll data integrity, supporting audits, and improving payroll efficiency in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do Here
- Own end-to-end payroll processing for U.S. employees, including wages, taxes (federal, state, local), benefits, and garnishments
- Ensure compliance with IRS regulations, FLSA, and state-specific labor laws
- Manage payroll for St. Lucia–based employees, including PAYE, NIC, and statutory deductions; remain current on local labor laws
- Manage payments and compliance for international contractors
- Process terminations, final paychecks, incentives, gifts, and off-cycle payroll adjustments
- Track leaves of absence to ensure accurate classification and pay treatment
- Set up and manage employee garnishments and loans
- Maintain employee and organizational data; review and approve employee-initiated changes
- Monitor and respond to payroll-related inquiries
- Perform payroll audits and reconciliations; identify and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure accurate year-end reporting (W-2s, 1099s, and international equivalents)
- Partner with HR and Finance on onboarding, offboarding, and payroll-related matters
- Lead annual 401(k) audits and support payroll-related audits
- Work with payroll systems to automate processes, troubleshoot issues, and support scalable operations
- Monitor payroll tax law changes and review regulatory filings to mitigate compliance risk
- Document and update payroll processes and procedures
What You Bring
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years of payroll experience supporting multi-entity, multi-state U.S. payroll and global contractors
- FCP, APA, CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or equivalent certification required
- Proficiency with Paylocity, Rippling, Cube, Deel or other similar HRIS or payroll processing systems
- Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll tax regulations and international contractor compliance
- Experience in a high-growth or rapidly changing environment
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Clear, professional communicator able to explain payroll concepts to non-experts

General Summary:
The Senior Salesforce Developer is a technical leader responsible developing, and delivering robust, scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform. This role partners with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into secure, high-quality technical solutions, and drives best practices in development, integration, and DevOps. - Ensure solutions are bulk-safe, limit-aware, and follow Salesforce governor limits and best practices
- Own technical delivery from requirements through deployment, including code reviews and release management

- Enforce security best practices (CRUD/FLS, sharing rules, Shield, compliance frameworks such as GDPR as applicable)
- Mentor and coach junior developers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement

- Works with business owners to translate functional requirements into technical requirements
- Identifies and resolves bugs in a timely manner, performing reviews after to ensure the underlying is sues are fixed
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues and drive root cause analysis and resolution.
- Oversees completion of deliverables including analysis, design/ approach, and implementation using salesforce best practices, execution best practices, communication, and documentation
- Stay current with Salesforce releases, emerging technologies, and industry trends
- Transforms business needs into technical design solution options and develops demos / proof of concepts
- Authors, trains, and provides governance on all configuration projects and adherence to best practices
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:
- Ability to manage large projects and processes independently with limited supervision
- Recognized subject matter expert of applicable work area
- Strong data modeling, performance optimization, and security enforcement (CRUD/FLS, sharing)
