Creative Manager | Position Summary  

The Creative Manager plays a key role in bringing the Hawthorne brand to life across our portfolio. This position leads the planning, coordination, and execution of creative and marketing projects while also contributing directly to design and content development. 

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and execution—ensuring projects are delivered on time, on brand, and reflective of Hawthorne’s mission. From campaign concepts to community-level materials, this position ensures every detail is thoughtful, consistent, and impactful. 
 

Creative Manager |  Job Functions 

Creative Development & Design  

• Act as creative design lead for marketing graphics and illustrations  

• Execute design work across a variety of formats, including: 

• Digital campaigns 

• Social media content 

• Print collateral and signage 

• Email and promotional materials 

• Translate marketing and brand strategy into visually compelling, on-brand creative 

• Provide creative direction across projects, ensuring a cohesive visual and storytelling approach 

• Maintain consistency across all creative assets, ensuring alignment with Hawthorne’s brand standards 

• Serve as a brand guardian, ensuring all materials reflect Hawthorne’s voice, tone, and visual identity 

Project Management & Execution  

• Manage the full lifecycle of creative projects—from intake and briefing through final delivery 

• Develop and maintain project timelines, workflows, and deliverables 

• Ensure projects are completed on time, on brand, and aligned with marketing priorities 

• Review and approve creative deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality, and brand alignment 

Creative Asset & System Management 

• Manage and maintain internal creative asset management systems, ensuring all assets are organized, accessible, and up to date 

• Establish and enforce standards for file naming, version control, and asset organization 

• Oversee the lifecycle of creative assets, ensuring teams are using the most current, approved materials 

• Partner with teams to streamline asset access and improve efficiency across marketing and on-site teams 

Collaborate Cross-Functionally 

• Collaborate with leadership to align creative initiatives with broader marketing and brand strategy 

• Partner with Corporate and Community Teams to meet creative goals while maintaining brand consistency

Required Qualifications: 

• 5+ years' experience in marketing or related fields 

• Experience in Adobe Suite, Figma 

• Experience in multifamily, real estate, or hospitality strongly preferred. 

• Experience in marketing, branding, or content creation 

• Strong written and visual communication skills 

• Strong self-management skills 

• Oversees timelines and proactively advances projects to ensure on-time completion 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel regularly 

• Comfort working autonomously and cross-functionally 

• Creative thinker with an eye for detail and storytelling

About The Springboard Fellowship

The Springboard Fellowship is a paid, two-year fellowship that brings recent college grads with raw talent, passion, and skills needed to reimagine and redesign Jewish student life to college campuses across North America. 

Trained in Relationship-Based Engagement, Human-Centered Design and other entrepreneurial frameworks, you will be exposed to the most successful initiatives from across the Hillel movement. Fellows will work with students to imagine, create, and refine experiences for Jewish life that dramatically impact student engagement, efficiently and strategically apply and scale successful initiatives from across the movement, and give birth to cutting-edge ideas that have the potential to transform how Hillel and creates inclusive spaces for #AllKindsOfJewish.

What You’ll Do

GOALS: 

Cultivate and steward a portfolio of 300-400 students understanding how to build authentic connections over time and guide engagement effectively. Activate students to create 10+ student-led programs per semester. Mentor students in our Tulane Hillel Leadership Network cohort to build their skills and help maximize their potential while on campus.

• Utilize design thinking strategies to increase the diversity and range of students involved at Tulane Hillel; build 2+ new meaningful student relationships every week.
• Effectively carry out administrative tasks weekly, such as student contact documentation, tasking via project management software, and information sharing and progress updates with colleagues in weekly meetings. 
• Contribute meaningfully to an incredible organizational culture that is the center of Jewish life at Tulane. 
• Identify professional development goals and take advantage of local, national, and international resources, conferences, and mentorship to grow towards these goals. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:  

• Create and lead student outreach and recruitment programming through identification of and engagement with uninvolved student populations and develop programs and events to reach them. Strategically identify and recruit students who would be great Hillel student leaders. 
• Mentor students in the Tulane Hillel Leadership Network (THLN) program to create programs and initiatives that will engage their peers and further the Jewish connections they make on campus. 
• Staff and logistically support programs (Shabbat, Welcome Week events, on-campus outreach, etc.) in cooperation with the engagement staff team.  
• Represent Tulane Hillel on campus with students, faculty, and administration as appropriate, as well as with the wider community. Internalize Tulane and New Orleans culture.
• Serve as an effective Team Member for broad programmatic priorities and operations by being a value add to the staff team by ensuring you are collaborating with colleagues, responding efficiently to assigned tasks, asking for assistance when needed, and stepping up as challenges our students bring and the wider environment present.

• Competitive salary in the nonprofit marketplace. The salary range for this role is $46,000 - 48,000 in year one of the Fellowship, and the salary range is $48,000- $50,000 in year two of the Fellowship.
