Staff Accountant

As an accountant at General Matter, you will operate at the intersection of hands-on execution and systems design. You will support core accounting processes while helping build the infrastructure, controls, and systems required to support long-term scale. This role requires comfort with ambiguity, strong execution, and the ability to partner closely with technical and operational teams. You will work directly with leadership, engineering, operations, and external advisors as the company transitions from early-stage operations to a fully integrated industrial enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Support core accounting operations, including monthly close, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Design and implement scalable accounting processes, policies, and documentation.
• Build and manage the accrual process to ensure accurate and timely expense recognition.
• Review open purchase orders and partner with operations and procurement to ensure proper tracking and closure.
• Support preparation of internal financial reporting, dashboards, reconciliations, and other schedules that inform decision-making.
• Conduct accounting analyses to ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with US GAAP and company policy.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $85,000–$145,000 annually. 

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. Launch has changed the economics of space. Now it is time to return. 

Outpost is building the missing infrastructure between orbit and Earth: reusable vehicles that can bring payloads back from space and deliver them to a precise location within hours. Role Overview 

The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations while helping to build the infrastructure required for a high-growth company. This role spans transactional accounting, monthly close, and continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where systems and processes are still evolving. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Prepare and post journal entries; ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger and subledger accounts
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including variance analysis
• Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and employee expense reports; ensure proper coding and approvals
• Accounts Receivable: Manage billing, collections, cash application, and support revenue tracking (including DSO monitoring)
• Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure financial data integrity and operational alignment

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

The Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial and tax aspects related to assigned client accounts.  Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman provides team members the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule. • Communication with clients and client representatives via phones, email, and in-person meetings

Qualifications

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $135,000 - $175,000. About the role

The Senior Accountant – Intercompany & Consolidations is responsible for managing the global intercompany accounting process and supporting the monthly consolidation of financial results. What we do:

The Senior Revenue Accountant will support the revenue accounting function in Los Angeles or Ventura, California, including the revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with US GAAP (ASC 606), collaborating cross-functionally, and providing accurate revenue reporting for financial statements while maintaining internal controls and compliance standards for a public company.

Xos is seeking a dynamic Senior Accountant, Payroll and General Accounting who brings strong expertise in managing payroll operations with accuracy and compliance. As a key member of the Finance and Accounting team, this role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll processing while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Payroll and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) Release, Processing & Compliance
  • Process payroll using HRIS (Rippling), ensuring accurate calculation of wages, salaries, hours worked, paid leave, holiday pay, compensatory time, and overtime.
  • Compile payroll data, including insurance deductions, vacation time, 401(k) contributions, and other benefits.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining Company financial records within the accounting software system and ensuring all records are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist with the month-end and year-end close process, including preparation and submission of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports. 
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations, accounts receivables, and prepaids. 
• Support accounts payable operations by assisting with payment issue resolution; ensure disbursements are accurately reflected in bank reconciliations, properly applied to vendor accounts in the subledger, and remittance information communicated timely.

• Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances. 
• Perform high-level reviews of staff accountant reconciliations and supporting schedules; identify and resolve discrepancies, ensure appropriate adjusting entries are recorded, and deliver clean, finalized workpapers for management review. 
• Provide support in maintaining intercompany transactions and balances for proper elimination.

The Senior Accountant plays a vital role in WSL’s financial reporting and drives key operational accounting processes. The Senior Accountant performs full-cycle month-end close and reporting duties for multiple subsidiaries, and they will interface directly with regional accounting resources. Reporting directly into the Controller, the Senior Accountant must possess a solid understanding of GAAP and will be instrumental in improving and documenting processes to support growth in WSL’s business. This role will partner with key business owners to drive timely and accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Support the global revenue process through analysis of contracts based on ASC 606, recording of revenue
• Manage the sales and collection process by coordinating with Partnerships and Legal, ensuring invoices are in line with contracted payment terms and maintaining detailed cashflow projections
• Record journal entries for both balance sheet and P&L accounts to account for day-to-day activities as well as part of the month end close and complete related account reconciliations for both headquarters and regional offices
• Generate management-ready balance sheet and P&L reports and other ad hoc financial reports
• Act as liaison between the Digital and Finance department to ensure proper accounting in accordance with ASC 350 for capitalized software
• Review regional subsidiary results and intercompany and related party transactions, and generate allocation journal entries between subsidiaries
• Assist with various tax and compliance filings for the company and its subsidiaries
• Assist with accounting for WSL’s not-for-profit entity and related filings
• Participate in the ongoing development, improvement and documentation of accounting policies and procedures
• Provide support for external financial statement audits and contribute to the overall financial statement consolidation process
• Identify and drive process improvement and automation initiatives and handle special projects as needed

 Qualifications: 

• A minimum of 3 years of experience; Sports, Media & Entertainment a plus
