Position Summary:

IEM is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for our Jacksonville, FL. locations and will report into the Director of Quality. The top priorities of this position will be to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, as well as implement Vendor Management program and supporting metrics. Significant involvement with all areas of vendors/suppliers and manufacturing, while also increasing our communication and collaboration with key departments is instrumental in this position.

Please note: This position requires 100% in-office presence in our Jacksonville, FL. offices and does not offer remote work.
 

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ensuring suppliers for IEM maintains all regulations and requirements
• Updating the supplier database with continuously updated records of performance
• Creating quality control guidelines and protocols
• Providing advice to vendors on how to reduce defect rates
• Performing logistics tasks, such as communicating with vendors when supplies don’t meet quality standards
• Assessing products and supplies from vendors to ensure their quality

The Role:

The Quality Assurance Analyst works with our Operations Partners to ensure we are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, and SoFi's policies and procedures. The QA Analyst serves as a Subject Matter Expert and will proactively support SoFi’s Loan and Banking Operation divisions in its QA function by sharing evaluation results, performance trends and gaps. 

What You’ll Do: 

• Manage the Quality Assurance Testing (QAT) analysis and process for assigned SoFi Operations business units

• Maintain forms, documents, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)

• Develop and implement a QAT strategy including focus areas; testing methodology, standards, and procedures, and frequency of testing (e.g., random and targeted testing on an as-needed basis)

• Apply an effective Quality Improvement Strategy (QIS) by identifying, addressing, and/or escalating issues to stakeholders and business unit leaders

• Deep understanding of processes within the product and recommend appropriate control points to ensure the safety and soundness of functionality

• Partner with PMO and Engineering on automation and enhancements to processes

• Assess project risks, identify contingency actions, and develop/manage a risk plan

As a Quality Engineer – Customer Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for the Customer and Commercial Teams about quality-related issues. Collect root cause analysis data and provide corrective feedback due to quality issues. Responsible for ensuring that the products produced meet quality standards required to minimize quality costs and maximize customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to. Ensure incoming materials meet required quality standards. Support new product introductions to ensure the robustness of product. Work in a team environment to develop and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements in meeting all customer requirements. Manage the customer specific requirements and coordinate technical support. Work on many phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity, with results impacting on project completion. Work mostly independently under general supervision, reviewed at project milestones and/or on completion by Senior Management.

Job Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for creating basic designs under the direction of the Senior Engineer and/or Senior Designer. You will also develop specifications, system narratives, and system layouts for a variety of projects of different sizes.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Beginning to establish system application, design, and operational parameters / sequences under the direction of the Senior on the project
• Participating in ensuring / Oversee QA/QC process for your work and the work of others
• Assisting in the ongoing determination of project scheduling requirements, manpower requirements, and project budgets
• Performing construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects, including conducting field inspections and subsequent detailed inspection reports
• Assisting in processing RFI’s, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda

Job Requirements

Successful candidates for the Electrical Engineer role should have the ability to use REVIT for system layout and spatial coordination of the production of detailed drawings. Someone who exhibits a basic understanding of the practical application of LEED principles to our building designs would be a good fit for this dynamic role.

Additional requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited Institution
• 7+ years of experience working in a consulting firm
• Current PE registration, preferred; E.I.T./FE required.
• LEED AP, highly preferred
• History of working with projects such as Federal, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission Critical
• REVIT and the latest version of AutoCAD MEP experience
• Proficient in design and calculation software
