What you’ll do

We’re looking for Software Engineers who are interested in building software services and platforms that impact thousands of employees and millions of Stripe users, regardless of whether they’re an end user, developer, or partner. You will work on projects that span technologies, systems, and processes where you will design, build, test, and ship great code every day.

About the team

Our finance team is responsible for shaping our understanding of how Stripe is performing as a business, as well as what our best opportunities are for continued growth. Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Reporting

• Lead the Financial Close: Manage the end-to-end monthly close of US GAAP books, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
• Manage Reporting Deliverables: Oversee the preparation and submission of comprehensive regulatory and financial reporting.
• Own the Statutory Audit Process: Lead financial statement preparation, audit support, and technical documentation, culminating in presentations to the Board of Directors.

Who You Are

Minimum Requirements

• Professional Certification: Active ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Experience: 10+ years of progressive accounting or audit experience; Big 4, payments, financial services, or tech industry experience highly preferred.
• Technical Accounting: Demonstrated technical expertise and practical application of IFRS, FRS 102, and US GAAP.
• Audit & Tax Expertise: Proven experience managing large-scale statutory audits involving central and local teams, as well as overseeing tax filings.

ACCOUNTANT (EMEA)

At SpaceX, we are leveraging our experience in building rockets and spacecraft to deploy Starlink, the world’s most advanced broadband internet system. We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system – thousands of satellites, consumer receivers that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing, and the software that brings it all together. We’ve only begun to scratch the surface of Starlink’s potential global impact and are looking an accountant for our Dublin office to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the company’s general ledger for the EMEA region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform daily general ledger accounting, including bank reconciliations and journal entry preparation, posting, and review
• Responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for EMEA entities, including but not limited to month-end accruals, prepayments, bank entries, VAT/GST, corporate tax, intercompany accounting, and any other required internal accounting
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations (bank, intercompany, VAT, fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, etc.)
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items on time
• Support the preparation of financial statements and flux analysis
• Assist with external audits (PBC schedules, audit support)
• Maintain and update accounting policies, procedures, and desktop procedures
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement efficiencies (automations, system enhancements, etc.)
• Work with outsourced service providers for assigned countries in the process of preparing local accounting books if required by regulation; preparing local financial statements and liaising with local auditors to close the local subsidiary audits
• Support day-to-day finance operations in EMEA as required, and ad hoc finance projects as directed
• Collaborate and partner with cross functional teams (operations, policy, commercial, legal, customs, treasury, finance and tax) and other stakeholders
• Support new business launches, new initiatives and products and ongoing commercial operations as a specialist in areas where accounting technical advice is required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, finance, or business discipline
• 2+ years of combined accounting or audit experience in public accounting and/or a multinational corporation

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years of progressive general ledger accounting experience

THE ROLE

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Treasury Manager to oversee core treasury operations across our international entities. This role is essential for maintaining optimal liquidity, managing banking infrastructure, and executing key funding and investment activities in the region. You’ll partner closely with Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Legal and HR to design and run treasury processes that are reliable, well‑controlled, and easy for the business to use.  The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of international cash management and banking practices.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Cash & Liquidity Management: Optimize and oversee the regional multi-currency cash pool structure, maximizing efficiency and minimizing excess cash. Administer intercompany funding processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and proper documentation. Execute short-term investment strategies for surplus cash in line with company policy and risk parameters.
• Banking & Treasury Operations: Serve as the primary contact for international banks and financial institutions, maintaining effective working relationships. Manage banking platforms, including user access, permissions, and security controls. Oversee bank account lifecycle management, from opening to closing, and coordinate KYC and periodic reviews with banking partners.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop, maintain, and analyze liquidity forecasts across international entities. Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Letters of Credit & Trade Finance: Manage international Letters of Credit (LCs), ensuring timely issuance, amendments, presentations, and compliance with trade terms and banking requirements.
• Reporting & Compliance: Support month-end treasury activities, including journal entries and reconciliations. Assist with audit requests and provide required documentation. Maintain and update treasury policies, procedures, and controls.

THE ROLE

Lead the strategic execution of our international revenue (IR) and accounts receivable (AR) operations, serving as a critical partner within the Order to Cash organization. This role is critical for maintaining a robust control environment while supporting the company’s expansion into new international markets.

• Statutory & Local Reporting: Lead the preparation, review, and timely filing of foreign statutory financial statements across all international subsidiaries.  Manage the reconciliation process from US GAAP to local statutory standards (IFRS or local GAAP).
• Global Tax Compliance: Partner with the Tax department to ensure full compliance with international direct and indirect tax laws (VAT, GST, CIT).

Who You Are: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with a CPA/CA or equivalent preferred
• 12-+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years of experience leading international operations
• Technical expertise in a wide array of accounting areas, including US GAAP to IFRS conversion
• Strong understanding of international tax regimes and statutory audit requirements in diverse jurisdictions.

The base salary range for this role is £111,000 to £148,000. The starting salary will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and the market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. The Internal System Org is at the core of Stripe to empower mission-critical financial domains including Finance & Strategy (F&S), Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Product Experience, GTM. We are the Financial Enablement team, acting as the centralized data analytics team for Internal System Org. Enable and empower F&S, GTM, Accounting, Product teams to achieve business goals, through dataset development, data analytics support, dashboards, AI, and operation efficiency enhancements.

What you’ll do

SR. TREASURY ANALYST (EMEA)
