Web Content Manager

Appian is looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Web Content Manager to contribute to the evolution and maintenance of our web presence. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end production of high-impact web experiences, ensuring our CMS remains healthy, scalable, and user-friendly. Rather than just executing updates, you will manage the intake of stakeholder requests and enforce a content lifecycle strategy. You will also play a critical role in empowering other teams through distributed authoring, ensuring our global web footprint is consistent, modern, and optimized for conversion.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee the end-to-end production and launch of high-quality web pages, ensuring they are optimized for the B2B buyer journey.
- Partner with Content and Product Marketing teams to ensure web content is engaging, accessible, and aligned with company strategy.
- Partner with the SEO/AEO team to ensure web content is optimized for organic growth.
- Partner with creative agencies to ensure visual assets are delivered on time and aligned to web needs.
- Lead webpage localization efforts, ensuring a seamless and culturally relevant experience for international markets.
- Manage workflows between internal teams and external translation agencies to ensure high-quality, timely localized content updates.
- Manage the web component library within the CMS, ensuring technical stability and consistency.
- Monitor and maintain overall CMS health, collaborating with Web Engineering to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal web requests, developing a clear prioritization framework to align web updates with business objectives.
- Build a regular cadence with regional marketing leads to provide visibility into the web roadmap and production timelines.
- Develop and enforce a global content lifecycle process, including regular audits, refreshes, and archiving of outdated content.
- Partner with the performance team to lead conversion rate optimization efforts on key landing pages through message and layout testing.
- Design and lead training programs to enable cross-functional and regional teams to perform self-service content updates within a governed framework.
- Create and maintain CMS documentation and guides to ensure high-quality execution across the organization.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of related experience in web content management, with a strong focus on the B2B sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Deep expertise in enterprise-level CMS platforms, such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of how design systems power modern web architecture.
- Proven experience managing complex stakeholder environments and streamlining web production workflows.
- Experience managing web content intake, prioritization, localization, governance, and content lifecycle processes.
- Familiarity with web performance, SEO/AEO, CRO, and analytics-driven optimization.
- Clear and compelling communication skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into actionable insights for stakeholders.
The base salary for this role is between $75,000–$175,000 per year and represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant work experience, qualifications, internal peer equity, and market and business conditions that exist when extending an offer. A discretionary bonus may be awarded in recognition of individual and company performance.

The Challenge
We’re seeking a Senior Growth Marketing Manager to lead our SEO, AEO, and GEO strategy and drive measurable pipeline growth through organic and AI-driven channels.
Reporting to the VP of Growth Marketing, this role will expand OneTrust discoverability, improve site performance, and translate search and AI insights into clear content and web priorities. This role is focused on business impact — not just traffic.
Your Mission
Lead SEO / AEO / GEO strategy & execution –
- Lead and execute our global SEO, AEO, and GEO strategy.
- Identify high-impact opportunities aligned to priority personas and regions.
- Conduct keyword, intent, and competitive analysis to inform roadmap decisions.
- Partner across the business to scale impact (I.e., engineering for scaled technical enhancements, PR/social for third-party citations, and more).
Co-create and optimize high-impact content
- Co-create and optimize search-driven content with Content and Product Marketing teams, contributing directly to drafting and structuring key pages.
- Use AI tools to accelerate research, drafting, and on-page optimization while maintaining strong brand voice.
- Prioritize topics and updates that drive incremental visibility and qualified traffic.
- Continuously optimize solution, persona, and resource content for traditional and AI-powered search environments.
Support measurement and reporting
- Monitor organic and AI-driven performance, including engagement and assisted conversions.
- Partner with Marketing Operations to connect search performance to pipeline influence.
- Contribute to clear, executive-ready growth reporting.
Prioritize and operationalize improvements
- Triage opportunities surfaced by analytics and optimization tools.
- Recommend scalable improvements across templates and high-impact pages.
- Collaborate with UX and cross-functional teams on targeted enhancements.

You Are
You are growth-minded and very comfortable navigating the evolving landscape of search. You’re a strong collaborator who can influence without direct authority. You are focused on delivering and can clearly communicate measurable business outcomes.
Your Experience Includes
- 5–8 years in SEO, Growth Marketing, or Digital Strategy within B2B SaaS
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, content-led optimization, and AI-driven search trends (AEO/GEO)
- Experience using AI tools to support scalable content creation and optimization
- Experience working cross-functionally with Web, Content, Engineering, and Analytics teams
- Strong reporting and data storytelling skills: You’re capable of translating complex SEO/AEO performance data into clear, actionable narratives that drive business decision-making.
- Experience with enterprise CMS platforms (AEM a plus) and SEO/AEO/GEO tools (i.e., Google Search Console, Semrush, Profound)

Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. What you will be responsible for as an Outside Sales Representative:
- Selling Digital Marketing solutions through a partnership selling model
- Websites, Search Ads, Display Ads, Reviews & Reputation Management, Social Ads, and SEO
- Cold calling business owners and prospecting within a designated territory to set appointments and conduct strong needs assessments
- Grow your own book of business by helping small businesses succeed and earn residual commissions for retaining your clients through strong account management

What we're looking for:
We’re looking for a Director, Brand & Content Strategy to define and lead Iterable’s brand strategy across narrative, creative, and content. Reporting to the CMO, this leadership role will blend strategic thinking with strong creative judgment. You’ll own how Iterable is positioned in the market and how that positioning comes to life across every touchpoint—from flagship campaigns and thought leadership to our website, events, and always-on content.
What you'll own:
- Brand strategy and positioning: Lead the brand strategy across the business, ensuring we have a clear and differentiated position in the market. You'll define the brand vision and identity, and bring consistency and clarity across audiences, programs, and channels.
- Creative direction and execution: Own the creative vision, setting standards for visual identity, messaging and storytelling, partnering with internal teams and external agencies to bring it to life.
- Content & Thought Leadership: Drive Iterable’s content strategy, including flagship research, executive thought leadership, SEO content, and data-driven storytelling that amplifies our point of view with senior leaders (VP–C-suite).
Integrated Brand Campaigns: Lead integrated brand campaigns, driving the overarching narrative, creative concept, and market-facing storytelling that builds preference and elevates the brand.
- Measurement & Impact: Define how brand impact is measured, including awareness, consideration, engagement, and influence on pipeline and revenue.
- Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team across brand strategy, creative, and content, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
We'd love to hear from people with:
- 10+ years of experience in brand, creative, or content leadership roles, ideally in B2B SaaS or high-growth technology companies.
- Proven experience building and evolving a brand through a period of scale or market transition.
- Strong strategic instincts paired with excellent creative judgment.
- Experience leading teams and working with external agencies.
- Ability to translate complex products into clear, compelling stories.
- Comfort operating at both the strategic and executional level.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to influence cross-functional partners.

The US base salary range for this position at the start of employment is $160,000 - $225,000. Within this range, individual pay is determined by specific US work location, as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and internal equity considerations.
Please note that the range listed above reflects only base salary. The total compensation package includes variable pay (where applicable), equity, plus a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and financial. In addition, we offer perks such as generous stipends for health & fitness and learning & development, among others.
