ABOUT THE TEAM
The Tactical Recon & Strike team at Anduril develops aerial small drones (Group 1-3) and all equipment to test, deploy and operate. The team is responsible for taking products like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt and Altius from paper sketches to operational systems. We work in close coordination with specialist teams to solve some of the hardest problems facing our customers. We are looking for software engineers, hardware engineers, roboticists, and front-end mobile developers who are excited about creating a powerful robotics platform that can be tasked and viewed in real-time through a variety of interfaces.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our team in Atlanta!
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop and ship production firmware for avionics, launch and ground support solutions, integrating with embedded Linux-based software and electro-mechanical end-to-end systems
- Implement and share ownership of existing CICD pipelines (evaluation hooks, performance/quality guardrails, and integration surfaces)
- Design and implement fault-tolerant low-level firmware drivers, middleware, and application software for microcontrollers in an RTOS environment (e.g., Zephyr), effectively managing concurrency and resource sharing through mutexes, semaphores, message queues, and event flags
- Collaborate on architecture and design emphasizing balance between loosely coupled concepts while considering determinism, complexity, stability, latency, power and memory constraints.
- Build firmware evaluation tools that interrogate code at compile-time and runtime, for quality, ruggedness and performance, in both virtual and on-target environments
- Help select microcontrollers and peripherals and review schematics with electrical engineering team
- Partner cross-functionally (software, hardware, mechanical, test and automation) to debug, profile and harden systems to persist in the face of real-world challenges
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BS or MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent industry experience
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in firmware/embedded software development, with a focus on embedded systems.
- Strong C or C++ coding ability for embedded systems
- Experience integrating microcontrollers with analog and digital sensors
- Extensive experience with popular RTOS platforms and a strong understanding of real-time scheduling algorithms and task management
- Experience developing firmware in bare-metal environments
- Solid understanding and application of coding best practices, board bring up and debugging
- Debugging skills with JTAG, SWD, Oscilloscopes, and Logic analyzers
- Familiarity with common bus protocols such as USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, etc.
- Experience running unit tests, nightly build hardware in the loop validations, static code analysis
- Experience operating and deploying Continuous Integration Tools (ie. Jenkins, CircleCI, JFrog Artifactory) and automatic build environments (Ninja, Cmake, Makefiles, etc.)
- U.S. Persons status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with one or more microcontroller cores (ARM, AVR, MSP430, PIC, etc.)
- Have a bias for action. If you see a problem, you want to solve and fix it
- Experience developing custom boards within the Zephyr RTOS ecosystem
- Be naturally curious about the technologies and tools you use

Anduril’s Tactical Recon & Strike (TRS) is a division with two missions: 1) build highly capable autonomous drones, and 2) build solid rocket motors at scale. Through our Anduril Rocket Motor Systems (RMS) team, we design and manufacture solid rocket motors using advanced materials, proprietary formulations, and high-volume production methods—delivering safe, reliable propulsion systems that support a wide range of mission requirements. TRS hires software engineers & hardware engineers, who are excited to build across a diverse and powerful portfolio—from autonomous aerial systems to high-performance solid rocket motors. ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking to bring on a Electrical Test engineer to design and deliver test systems for Anduril’s electronic products. This person will work with the cross-functional organizations to identify gaps in test coverage and own the design and delivery of the hardware and software test solution. A strong Test Design Engineer will need to have a proven track record of delivering user-friendly test solution for validating electronic components and sub-assemblies and has a background in hardware, software, integration and production support.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead and own Hardware Qualification test plan definition for new products and new features, in collaboration with firmware, software, and hardware design teams
- Determine test strategies that optimize product safety, product reliability, risk mitigation, FMEA coverage, and schedule
- Design and execution of PCBA and electrical system components with hands on testing and rework as necessary
- Data analysis and clear communication of results and collaboration with design engineers to resolve any product problems found via test
- Design and implement next generation test automation hardware systems to facilitate fast and repeatable testing of product
- Manage purchasing, build, integration and final commissioning of functional testers
- Develop test procedures and test automation from component level to system level
- Support board bring-up and bench validation as needed
- Support Design Engineer with DFT, provide feedback from test results to improve quality and test coverage
- Support manufacture test bring-up and yield
- Support quality field failure analysis
- Familiarity with measurement analysis techniques such as Gage RR and Process Capability Analysis
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience designing functional test equipment and PCBAs
- Experience in Schematic Capture and PCBA layout.
- Knowledge of a scripting language to develop automation: Python, C#, MATLAB or SHELL. Experience using NI TestStand is a plus
- Instrument control using VISA and SCPI
- Understanding of peripherals and developing test and validation strategies
- Experience with computer hardware communication bus protocols: USB, I2C, I2S, CSI, Ethernet, SPI, PCIe, HDMI, CAN, etc
- Understanding of memory hierarchy and developing test and validation strategy
- Understanding of Product Release Cycle from prototype to production and key deliverables of each phase
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to support product development from prototype to production
- Experience with hands-on electrical engineering work

- Understanding both hardware and software integration and test process

We are seeking an experienced System Safety Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Atlanta, GA in support of our Altius product line. Altius is a versatile platform designed to provide on-demand capability that can be launched from ground, air, or sea to conduct a variety of mission types. We work closely with our broader Engineering team to ensure these cutting-edge systems are safe and effective for development, testing, and deployment in complex operational environments.
As a System Safety Engineer at Anduril, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of advanced Reliability & System Safety tools and methodologies to drive excellence in our safety processes. You will support the Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Hardware & Software development teams across the product development lifecycle by guiding Functional Hazard Analysis, Fault Trees, System Safety Assessments, and Hazard Management and Hazard Mitigation activities for your product(s). The right person for this role has knowledge of design and development with a safety focus on sUAS, as well as exposure to test, analysis, manufacturing, and continuous improvement in a production environment. If you are someone who has hands-on experience throughout the new product development life cycle from concept to customer delivery, loves to build world-class Reliability and Safety processes, can work efficiently across multi disciplinary teams, and be accountable for results, then this role is for you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop and implement tailored System Safety program plans aligned with MIL-STD-882E and the needs of Anduril & its customers.
- Conduct and review complex safety analyses, including FHA (Functional Hazard Analysis), Fault Tree, SCFTA (Safety Critical Functional Thread Analysis), and SSA (System Safety Assessments) at system and sub-system level for complex unmanned systems.
- Develop safety requirements and collaborate with design teams to implement safety solutions in hardware, software, and system-level procedures
- Identify & document hazards for your program(s), manage hazard tracking databases, and drive risk mitigation strategies
- Support Development Milestone Reviews such as PDR, CDR, and TRR representing System Safety.
- Lead mishap investigations and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities to prevent reoccurrence
- Verify and validate risk and hazard reduction measures
- Liaise with customers, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders on safety-related matters
- Drive continuous improvement in System Safety processes and methodologies
- Ensure compliance with relevant military and industry safety standards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 8 years Industry Experience as a System Safety Engineer or equivalent engineering background
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical discipline
- Experience with safety-critical hardware & software systems in the defense or aerospace industry, with a preference for small UAS or Rotorcraft
- Extensive knowledge of MIL-STD-882E and other relevant safety standards
- Experience setting up a System Safety Engineering framework for a product or program, including early stage Design for Safety and Hazard Analysis experience
- Strong background in safety analysis techniques, including FTA, FHA, SCFTA, and FMECA
- Failure investigation/analysis experience with proven track record of solving problems and preventing reoccurrence
- Design Review Experience (PDR, CDR) and confident in presentation skills across all levels of leadership
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

The Reliability Engineering team partners across Anduril's engineering, manufacturing, and operations organizations to ensure our autonomous systems survive real-world conditions and deliver consistent performance for our customers. Our mandate spans the complete product lifecycle - from early concept design through production scale-up and fielded operations. We use data, statistical methods, and engineering analysis to forecast how our systems will perform over time and influence design decisions, including part selection, redundancy strategies, and maintenance approaches. We establish tailored reliability frameworks by program and partner with Quality to drive design robustness, failure prevention, and rapid response to issues in the field.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Atlanta, GA, driving reliability for our Altius product line. Altius is a versatile platform designed to provide on-demand capability that can be launched from ground, air, or sea to conduct a variety of mission types. This is a hands-on role focused on embedding reliability into early product architecture and detailed design - from early concept trade studies through design validation and launch integration. You'll be the reliability champion throughout the design and development process, working closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to ensure designs are robust. Your responsibilities will include conducting reliability predictions and allocations during architecture trades, leading design FMEAs and fault tree analyses to identify and mitigate failure modes, developing and executing design verification test plans, performing stress-derating analysis and parts selection reviews, and assessing design changes for reliability impact throughout the development cycle. The right person for this role brings deep technical knowledge of hardware reliability and failure mechanisms, has practical experience on product development programs, and can engage credibly with design engineers and Anduril's subcontractors on technical details while maintaining focus on system-level reliability outcomes. This role demands someone who can embed early in design cycles, influence engineering decisions with data and analysis, and take ownership of reliability outcomes as designs mature from concept to launch readiness.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support and review system block diagrams, interface control documents, and schematics for compliance, redundancy, and accuracy against requirements and concept of operations.
- Lead Failure Modes & Effects Analysis efforts and collaborate with cross-functional Engineering teams to implement product improvements for Reliability.
- Perform predictive reliability analysis to calculate probability of loss of control, loss of asset, and MTTF/MTBF utilizing Anduril requirements, specifications, and relevant industry standards (i.e. MIL-HDBK-217Plus).
- Develop Qualification Test plans to ensure appropriate requirements coverage, and work with Test Engineering to fixture, instrument, and execute test campaigns.
- Develop Maintainability prediction models using MIL-HDBK-472, and support the development of Preventative Maintenance & Sparing plans.
- Perform Weibull analysis utilizing data from Qualification campaigns and from fielded assets.
- Partner with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure design specifications and requirements are embedded in the manufacturing process and ensure acceptance test gates are validated against requirements.
- Use data analysis techniques to highlight key problem areas for deployed products, and drive root cause analysis & corrective action implementation.
- Develop and implement Reliability processes for the business to improve and streamline our Design, Manufacturing, and Deployment Operations efforts for rapid development.
- Support Development Milestone Reviews through identification of appropriate entry and exit criteria, and work with Quality Engineering to guide the hand off process to production.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 8 years experience as a Reliability Engineer or Design/Development Engineer
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline

- Experience setting up a Reliability Engineering framework for a product or program, including support of production testing, field testing, data acquisition, and data analysis
- Expertise in reliability analysis techniques, including FMEA/FMECA, predictive modeling, Weibull analysis, and Fault Tree Analysis
- Experience with generating qualification testing requirements and executing tests to proactively characterize product behavior and performance
- Failure investigation/analysis experience with proven track record of solving problems and preventing reoccurrence
- Design Review Experience (PDR, CDR, MRR) and confident in presentation skills across all levels of leadership

What You'll Do:
You will be tasked with solving the toughest wireless problems our products face: translating research into resilient, high-performance PHY/MAC systems; architecting firmware and toolchains that meet extreme latency, power, and reliability targets; and defining the wireless roadmap that balances innovation, manufacturability, and real-world performance. You will shape how our devices connect and perform at scale — from lab prototypes to deployed fleets — and your work will be judged by field performance under real conditions, not just simulations. This mission-critical wireless systems require both RF understanding and deep systems software expertise. This position sits at that boundary and defines the reliability and trust of the entire communications platform..
- Lead design and implementation of wireless communication stacks (LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, sidelink, mesh, P2P, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC....)
- Architect low-latency, high-reliability PTT and real-time voice transport systems
- Develop transport abstraction layers across multiple radios and networks
- Optimize performance (latency, jitter, packet loss, handover behavior)
- Collaborate with RF, hardware, and firmware teams to ensure end-to-end system performance
- Drive modem integration (e.g., Qualcomm, MediaTek) and carrier certification efforts
- Implement QoS, prioritization, and congestion control mechanisms

Your Impact

We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Technical Lead, to join our rapidly growing team in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end embedded control electronic systems and subsystems development for UAVs and related equipment. You will also be leading a team of engineers, and establishing robust design, integration, testing, and validation processes. You will be responsible for the evaluation of the software and hardware capabilities for operational suitability as well as Altius’s integration into the full suite of Anduril systems to complete complex operations.
What you’ll do
- As a flight test engineer, under minimal supervision, you will be responsible for test planning, execution, reporting, and evaluating the system under test (software and/or hardware).
- Test duties include:
- Candidate will support and plan test events conducted at test sites as required by the specific test.
- Configuration management of test owned assets. This includes specific to test configuration management (hardware components, specific payloads, software/firmware configuration) as well as fleet management (facilitate and track required maintenance, planning/assigning asset requirements for current testing and future efforts).
- Generation of evaluation test plans and reports focusing on system functionality and suitability of software and hardware integration efforts. In addition to technical test planning, planning includes safety (risk, hazards, develop mitigations) and logistical (available hardware, airspace, personnel resources, timeline/scheduling).
- Generate and execute test cards, conduct pre and post flight briefings, and manage test events with diverse support teams (pilots, engineering subject matter experts (SME), operations). Testing execution will include operating Altius when conducting system evaluation testing.
- Collaborate with SMEs and cross functional teams within the business line through development and production testing, reporting of test findings, and test status. This includes adjudication of testing tasks and characterization of issues, observations, and detailing results.
- Interface daily with hardware and software engineering teams.
- Collect metrics for flight test events to include sortie information and delays.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly; apply them accurately; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems.
- Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Must play in active role in strengthening communication channels both within the team and externally (engineering, program leadership, operations).

A strong Test Design Engineer will need to have a proven track record of delivering turn-key test solutions for electronic components and systems and a background in hardware, software, integration and sustainment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage a small team of Test Automation Engineers to deliver End to End test solutions for customers
- Define, own, and execute End of Line test plans for a set of new products and features, in collaboration with firmware, software, and hardware design teams
- Define and implement test strategies that optimize product safety, product reliability, risk mitigation, FMEA coverage, and schedule
- Design and execution of PCBA and electrical system components with hands on testing and rework as necessary
- Data analysis and clear communication of results and collaboration with design engineers to resolve any product problems found via test
- Design and implement next generation test automation hardware systems to facilitate fast and repeatable testing of product
- Execution and management of purchasing, build, integration and final commissioning of functional testers
- Develop test procedures and test automation from component level to system level
- Support board bring-up and bench validation as needed
- Support Design Engineer with DFT, provide feedback from test results to improve quality and test coverage
- Support manufacture test bring-up and yield
- Support in Root Cause Analysis process
- Lead and participate as a key contributor in design reviews
- Provide technical mentorship to engineering teams
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 8+ years of hands on electrical engineering experience designing functional test equipment
- 5+ years of experience in Schematic Capture and/or PCBA layout (experience with Altium Designer is a plus)
- 2+ years of experience in scripting language to develop automation (C/C++/C#, Python, or MATLAB – experience in LabVIEW is a plus)
- Experience with peripherals and developing test and validation strategies
- Advanced experience with computer hardware communication bus protocols: USB, I2C, I2S, CSI, Ethernet, SPI, PCIe, HDMI, CAN, serial comms, etc.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to support product development from prototype to production
- Understanding of lab safety protocols when working in all types of lab environment
- Familiarity with measurement analysis techniques such as Gage RR and Process Capability Analysis
- Understanding both hardware and software integration and test process
- Experience with source code revision and control (experience with GitHub is a plus)
- Must be eligible for a Security Clearance

We are seeking a Hardware Recruiter to join our Tactical Recon & Strike recruiting team. The Electrical Test Engineering team at Anduril develops test systems used to ensure the quality and reliability of our aerial and ground based systems. The team works on air vehicles such as the ALTIUS and develop complex manufacturing test solutions to our internal manufacturing team or contract manufacturers. We work closely and cross-functionally with the rest of our Product Engineering groups that include Electrical, Mechanical and Firmware Engineering to solve and improve our manufacturing process, product quality and reliability.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking to bring on a Senior Electrical Test Engineer to design and deliver test systems for Anduril’s electronic products. This person will work with the test of the organization to identify gaps in test coverage and own the design and delivery of the hardware and software test solution. A strong Senior Electrical Test Engineer will need to have a proven track record of delivering turn key test solution for electronic components and systems and has a background in hardware, software, integration and sustainment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead and own Hardware Qualification test plan definition for new products and new features, in collaboration with firmware, software, and hardware design teams
- Determine test strategies that optimize product safety, product reliability, risk mitigation, FMEA coverage, and schedule
- Design and execution of PCBA and electrical system components with hands on testing and rework as necessary
- Data analysis and clear communication of results and collaboration with design engineers to resolve any product problems found via test
- Design and implement next generation test automation hardware systems to facilitate fast and repeatable testing of product
- Manage purchasing, build, integration and final commissioning of functional testers
- Develop test procedures and test automation from component level to system level
- Support board bring-up and bench validation as needed
- Support Design Engineer with DFT, provide feedback from test results to improve quality and test coverage
- Support manufacture test bring-up and yield
- Support quality field failure analysis
- Familiarity with measurement analysis techniques such as Gage RR and Process Capability Analysis
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineer or equivalent
- 8+ years of experience designing functional test equipment and PCBAs
- Experience in Schematic Capture and PCBA layout.
- Knowledge of scripting language to develop automation. Python, Matlab, PERL or SHELL. Experience in LabVIEW is a plus
- Instrument control using VISA and SCPI
- Understanding of peripherals and developing test and validation strategies
- Experience with computer hardware communication bus protocols: USB, I2C, I2S, CSI, Ethernet, SPI, PCIe, HDMI, CAN, etc
- Understanding of memory hierarchy and developing test and validation strategy
- Understanding of Product Release Cycle from prototype to production and key deliverables of each phase
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to support product development from prototype to production
- Experience with hands-on electrical engineering work
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Understanding both hardware and software integration and test process
- Advance proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and VISIO
- Understanding of lab safety protocols when working in all types of lab environment
- A detail-oriented individual who strives in an environment that values effective team collaboration
- Self-motivated: Demonstrate ability to set direction and proactively identify and fills gaps where needed

Role Overview
The Deployment Engineer is responsible for preparing, configuring, and validating BESS control, network, and EMS systems prior to shipment to project sites. This role ensures systems arrive site-ready, reducing commissioning risk, minimizing field rework, and accelerating site bring-up.
This position is factory-focused and hands-on, working closely with engineering, controls, EMS, and commissioning teams to deliver fully validated systems before field deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform factory pre-deployment of BESS systems, including controls, EMS, networking, and system configuration
- Configure and validate system components prior to shipment (PLCs, EMS, network devices, gateways, firmware, and software)
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities and ensure systems meet commissioning readiness requirements
- Validate system configurations, versions, and integration points prior to site deployment
- Identify and resolve issues early to prevent downstream field and commissioning delays
- Collaborate with Controls Engineers, EMS Deployment Engineers, Network Engineers, and Engineering teams
- Develop and execute pre-deployment checklists, validation steps, and sign-off procedures
- Document system configurations, versions, and factory-validated states
- Support continuous improvement of factory pre-deployment standards and processes
- Provide limited field support during commissioning as needed to ensure continuity between factory and site execution
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting deployment, integration, or commissioning of OT or industrial systems
- Hands-on experience configuring and validating control systems, EMS/SCADA, or industrial networks
- Strong understanding of system integration across controls, networking, and software domains
- Ability to follow and improve structured deployment and validation processes
- Comfortable working in fast-paced production or factory environments
- Strong troubleshooting and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support commissioning or site bring-up as needed
Preferred Experience
- Experience with utility-scale BESS, renewables, or power generation systems in Linux CLI environment
- Familiarity with Siemens PLCs, Ignition EMS, and industrial networking concepts
- Experience supporting FATs or factory integration activities
- Experience working alongside commissioning and field deployment teams
- Background bridging engineering design and field execution
