Job Description: 

The Regional Business Manager (RBM) will shape the Territory Account Manager (TAM) organization by creating a culture of performance and accountability based in transforming the standard of care in diagnosing CAD.

The RBM will hire, train, coach and develop their respective territory account manager team to execute against specific critical behaviors that deliver growth results. The Territory Account Manager (TAM) will be the face of Heartflow within a specific geographic region. The RBM will work with customers to ensure that they are extremely successful with Heartflow’s non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic technology. It is the responsibility of the RBM to provide the team with expectations, resources and coaching to the standard that drives Heartflow adoption through the network of referring physicians. The position will partner with TAMs and accounts to proactively support, educate, and provide solutions to build high customer satisfaction.

This is a customer- facing role.  The primary focus is on spending time with direct sales team and customers. Customers include yet are not limited to Cardiologists, Internists, general practitioners, Nurse practitioners and physician assistance that manage patients with ACS/CAD.

Job Responsibilities:

• Will work cross functionally to create solutions as new opportunities present.
• Create progressive programming that disrupts the traditional means to reach ordering physicians who treat and manage patients with CAD.
• Will work directly with key strategic Heartflow accounts to drive growth and adoption of a cCTA and FFRct clinical pathway. In these accounts, the RBM will develop and execute business development plans working closely with the account’s key stakeholders.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration throughout the organization. Tools for program development could include key deployment of Heartflow’s internal leadership and physician mentors, organizing and staffing of dinner programs, VIP Visits, organizing Heartflow CT Pathway road-shows, referring physician office meetings, etc. This role will work closely with the other Heartflow team members to include respective TSM, Marketing, Market Access, CT Apps, Product Development and Clinical.
• Increase Heartflow usage within the designated key strategic Heartflow account by:
  • Maintaining and building relationships with referring physicians and other key clinical stakeholders
  • Educating customers on Heartflow’s value proposition by giving presentations/ having discussions with referring MDs
  • Promoting / championing Heartflow and building advocacy
• Production/Success/Achievement of the Territory Account Manager will be evaluated and based on performance in active/targeted accounts (metrics):
  • Meet / exceed quota for the strategic Heartflow accounts (within existing customer locations).
  • cCTA growth (conversion of non-invasive tests) and FFRct penetration / case growth over baseline (% and $) in assigned accounts.

Educational Requirements & Work Experience: 

• 4-year degree with 5+ years of related sales or clinical experience or 2-year degree with 7+ years related sales or clinical experience.
• Degree in Science, Medical, Business, Marketing or Technical field is preferred.
• Prior experience in medical device, cardiology pharmaceuticals, cardiology radio-pharmaceuticals, hospital, or medical software is highly desired
• Experience with introducing new cardiovascular technologies into hospitals is highly desired

• Actively support producers on complex healthcare opportunities, including underwriting strategy, program structure, clinical risk insights, and differentiating IMA in competitive RFP environments.
• Provide direct involvement on high‑value pursuits, including large health systems, multi‑state operators, and organizations with sophisticated risk financing needs.
• Participate in internal business reviews, prospect meetings, and client presentations, representing IMA’s national healthcare expertise.
• Bring forward timely insights on healthcare industry trends—such as consolidation, regulatory changes, professional liability climate, staffing challenges, and reimbursement pressures—and apply them to client strategy.

Healthcare Specialty Strategy & National Alignment

• Develop and execute the national strategic plan for the Healthcare & Social Services Practice, ensuring alignment with IMA’s enterprise goals.
• Align service standards, technical expectations, and client delivery models across all IMA markets to ensure consistency for healthcare clients nationwide.
• Identify emerging risks (e.g., cyber, EPL, medical professional liability, managed‑care E&O, regulatory fines/penalties) and build practice capabilities to address them.
• Represent IMA in healthcare associations, national groups, and specialty forums involving hospital leadership, senior living executives, physician enterprise leaders, and nonprofit providers.

Carrier and Market Relationships

• Build and maintain deep relationships with healthcare‑specialized carriers—particularly medical professional liability carriers, alternative risk partners, programs/MGUs, and managed‑care insurers.
• Lead national carrier strategy for healthcare placements, program design, alternative risk financing, and market‑facing positioning.
• Collaborate with key carrier partners to develop innovative solutions in response to industry shifts such as staffing shortages, litigation trends, senior living acuity levels, or physician practice consolidation.
• Facilitate carrier engagement to bring new programs, benchmarking data, and thought leadership to IMA’s clients and internal teams.

Talent Development & Team Leadership

• Mentor and develop healthcare‑specialized talent across production, account management, analytics, and claims—ensuring deep vertical expertise throughout the practice.
• Oversee healthcare‑specific training programs, including MPL fundamentals, loss‑sensitive program structures, captive and RRG strategies, regulatory compliance exposures, and post‑acute risk trends.
• Partner with Market Presidents on specialty‑focused hiring, promotions, and team alignment.
• Build a sustainable national bench of healthcare experts and maintain a succession plan for healthcare leadership roles.

Collaboration & Internal Integration

• Coordinate closely with Market Presidents, Commercial Lines Leaders, producers, claims teams, and analytics resources to ensure seamless delivery for healthcare clients
• Lead national healthcare practice calls and cross‑market collaboration, uniting healthcare experts across IMA’s footprint.

Required Experience & Skills

• Extensive healthcare‑related brokerage, underwriting, or risk‑management experience, with deep technical mastery of healthcare exposures.
• Strong knowledge across key healthcare verticals such as hospitals, senior living, behavioral health, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, managed care organizations, and social services.
• Demonstrated excellence in developing and maintaining senior‑level relationships with healthcare executives, carrier leaders, and strategic partners.
• Proven ability to lead national pursuits, design complex insurance programs, and support sales initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Support Certified Nurse Midwives as needed, serving as physician backup within a midwife-led model and co-managing cases to ensure safe, evidence-based care.
• Develop, implement, and annually review clinical policies, protocols, and patient education materials in alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Practice leadership on clinical operations, including admission, transfer, discharge, and emergency care processes.
• Participate in regulatory compliance, accreditation activities, and surveys.
• Engage in Diana Health’s Continuous Quality Improvement program to advance quality, safety, and patient experience.
• Provide and support clinical education, in-service training, and professional development to promote consistent, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience required
• Trained in robotics
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative OB/CNM practice with strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Active DEA license
• Licensed to practice in Texas upon start date
