The Information Security Risk Analyst is the operational engine of the internal risk program. While the Senior IRM Analyst and Risk Director define the strategic roadmap, the Analyst ensures the daily execution of that strategy. They are responsible for the "production line" of risk assessment: taking raw signals from the business, processing them through the established methodology, and outputting actionable risk decisions (Remediation or Acceptance).

The ultimate objective of this role is Reduction of Uncertainty. By managing the program effectively, the IRM Analyst ensures that MongoDB’s leadership has a clear, quantified view of the top risks facing the enterprise. They transform the Risk Register from a static spreadsheet into a dynamic governance tool that drives accountability.

The IRM Analyst must not be afraid to be in the trenches with the Engineering and Product teams. They are the primary face of the "Risk Intake Process," guiding stakeholders through the methodology. They are the gatekeeper of quality, ensuring that no risk enters the register until it has been properly scoped and quantified.

Responsibilities:

Risk Identification & Assessment

• Execute risk assessments under senior guidance - perform scoping, inherent risk scoring, control assessment, and residual risk calculation using established methodology
• Conduct risk identification intake, manage the flow of requests from Jira Service Desk and the Issue Intake Tracker, review incoming submissions against entry criteria, assign Risk IDs, and replicate validated risks into the Risk Register
• Act as the Triage Officer for incoming risk submissions, determine whether submissions represent strategic risks, operational issues, or duplicates. Filter noise to focus the team on signals
• Develop risk scenarios for in-scope assets by working with asset owners and risk owners , identify threat communities, threat events, and impact categories
• Draft Risk Assessment Memos that tell a cohesive story from risk statement to risk rating to actionable recommendation. Progressively build toward independently authored memos that require minimal review notes
• Monitor and flag emerging risk signals , including AI-related risks (model integrity, data poisoning, shadow AI, third-party AI dependencies) , and escalate with documented analysis for integration into the risk framework

Control Identification, Mapping & Assessment

• Identify and document controls that mitigate assessed risks , map controls to specific risk scenarios and applicable framework requirements (NIST SP 800-53, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
• Assess the design adequacy of controls , evaluate whether each control is appropriately designed to address the risk it is mapped to, and document findings with supporting rationale
• Assess the operating effectiveness of controls , collect and evaluate evidence to determine whether controls are functioning as designed over the assessment period, and document results
• Document control gaps and support remediation tracking , maintain clear records of where controls are missing, partially effective, or require compensating controls. Track remediation progress
• Maintain control-to-framework mappings to ensure risk assessment outputs directly support audit and certification evidence packages (FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS)

Risk Categorization & Governance

• Apply the established risk taxonomy and categorization methodology consistently across all assessed risks
• Process risk acceptance requests in Jira , validate completeness, ensure documented context and stakeholder sign-off, confirm time-bound conditions, and flag concerns to the Senior lead
• Maintain the Risk Register, risk inventory, and supporting trackers with obsessive attention to data integrity, no missing dates, undefined owners, or stale entries. A Risk Register with governance gaps is a program failure

Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

• Contribute to KRI data collection and dashboard inputs , support accurate, timely reporting that feeds executive risk dashboards and governance forum materials
• Engage directly with technical stakeholders (engineering, product, infrastructure teams) during risk assessments , ask informed questions, gather evidence, and document findings
• Progressively build the technical fluency to lead stakeholder conversations independently , develop working proficiency in cloud-native architectures, SaaS security models, and common technical controls (IAM, encryption, network segmentation, logging/monitoring)
• Translate technical findings into clear, business-relevant risk language in all written work products

Policy, Process & Governance Hygiene

• Support drafting and maintaining risk procedures, guidelines, and assessment templates across the IRM program scope
• Execute governance hygiene , data quality, tracker maintenance, workflow adherence, evidence organization, and documentation standards
• Manage the risk assessment pipeline in Jira, create and maintain workflows, dashboards, and use JQL to track the assessment ticket lifecycle

Requirements:

Experience & Education:

• 3–5 years of experience in Information Security, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), or Enterprise Risk Management
• Experience performing risk assessments — including risk identification, inherent/residual risk scoring, and documentation of findings
• Experience identifying, documenting, and evaluating controls — including assessment of design adequacy and operating effectiveness
• Strong working knowledge of NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-30/39/53, and ISO/IEC 27005 — ability to use these frameworks as a library of controls and risk guidance
• Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) for risk data analysis and reporting
• Jira proficiency — managing projects, creating workflows and dashboards, and using JQL
• Ability to write clear, concise, and defensible Risk Assessment Memos
• Obsessive attention to detail regarding data integrity and documentation quality
• Foundational understanding of cloud-native architectures and common technical controls (IAM, encryption, logging/monitoring, network segmentation) — with a commitment to building deeper technical fluency
• Awareness of AI risk concepts and willingness to develop expertise in emerging AI risk and regulatory landscape
• A strong track record of collaborating effectively across teams and levels
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
• Certifications: At least, one of the following certifications is required - CRISC, CISM, CISSP, or CISA

As an Editor/Videographer, you will work across edits, studio, and location shoots. You will collaborate closely with the rest of the Content team, Product, Product Marketing and Events teams to support product launches, customer storytelling, and major industry moments. You will join a high-velocity environment where clarity matters more than complexity and where experimentation with new formats is encouraged.

What will I be doing? 

• Capture, edit and creatively craft customer stories, demos, explainers, event footage, social clips and demand gen content, delivering clarity, quality, and strong narrative flow
• Set up multi-camera studio shoots including camera operation, teleprompter, lighting, and audio to capture clean, reliable footage
• Film interviews and capture B-roll on location in client offices and at events, adapting quickly to different environments and setups
• Deliver polished edits in multiple aspect ratios (16:9, 1:1, 9:16), optimised for each platform’s requirements
• Repurpose longer video and non-video content into engaging video assets, using strong editorial judgment to identify the most compelling moments
• Ensure edits reflect Intercom’s visual style and brand standards, utilising and adhering to a visual system created by our Intercom Creative Studio team
• Apply platform-native and audience informed storytelling principles (hooks, pacing, structure, early clarity)
• Experiment with new formats and AI-assisted workflows to help evolve our storytelling and contribute to a culture of continuous creative improvement

What skills do I need? 

• Excellent editing skills with a strong sense of pacing, structure, narrative clarity, and social-first storytelling
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, with openness to leveraging new editing tools such as Descript where they add value
• Confident camera operation using mirrorless or DSLR cameras in both studio and on-location environments
• A refined creative sensibility with strong visual taste and an instinct for what makes a moment engaging
• Strong sense of rhythm and musicality, able to select music that enhances tone, emotion, and narrative flow
• Solid audio recording ability including mic setup and monitoring
• Ability to perform audio post-production work in Adobe Audition or similar

What will you do?

• Partner at the strategic pillar level. You'll have broad context across work streams and use that to inform technical strategy and investment priorities. What should we care about? Where should we invest? Where do you need to step in? These are your decisions.
• Spin up 0-to-1 work streams. Bring together engineers who've never worked as a team, disambiguate the problem space, build momentum under aggressive timelines, set high expectations, and drive execution.
• Execute on the most ambiguous, highest-stakes problems. You're hands-on. You write code, you ship features, you're deep in the weeds. We've seen too many Principal Engineers who are brilliant but too far from execution to be effective here.
• Lead experimental work at the AI frontier. Run your own A/B tests, do prompt engineering, build evals, and calibrate accuracy, cost, and latency for LLM-powered features. Much of what we're building are new paradigms for customer-facing software.
• Shape long-term technical strategy through execution. Your hands-on work informs the architecture. You're simultaneously building and thinking about what needs to change about how we build products — data models, system design, the shift from GUI-first to agent-first interfaces.
• Work across the full stack in an AI-first development environment. Every engineer has Claude Code with unlimited tokens and a sophisticated ecosystem of MCP servers, skills, and shared context. You'll push the boundaries of what's possible with AI-assisted development and help shape how the entire engineering org works.
• Raise the bar for the people around you. Give direct, actionable feedback that changes outcomes. We don't need someone who mentors juniors on the basics — we need someone who can accelerate and grow the senior and staff engineers around them.

What are we looking for?

The core requirement: engineering depth and product thinking. We need someone who combines deep engineering ability with strong product and design instincts — not one or the other. We don't want engineers who are technically brilliant but disconnected from the product. And we don't want product-minded engineers who have great instincts but can't execute at the level this work demands. You need to be able to both build complex systems AND identify the right problems to solve. This is the single most important dimension we evaluate on.

Beyond that:

• Operated at real scale and has builder energy. You've likely spent time at companies operating at significant scale — the kind of environment where you've seen what large-scale distributed systems actually look like in production. But you also have startup DNA: urgency, resourcefulness, a bias toward building over discussing.
• AI fluency. You're actively experimenting with AI-assisted development, pushing the boundaries of what's possible, and forming opinions about how it changes the way teams build software. This matters more than any specific stack experience.
• Deep technical depth with breadth. You can go deep into the weeds on at least one technical domain, but you also navigate complex multi-team systems with ease. In conversation, you move fluidly from business context to technical strategy to implementation details.
• Communication as a superpower. You can explain to leadership why a technical investment matters, align multiple teams around a complex project, and then walk an engineer through the gnarly implementation details. This role lives and dies on your ability to communicate across every level.
• Extreme autonomy. You partner with the Engineering Director on where you think the pillar needs to go next. You identify problems, form convictions, and act on them. If you're the kind of engineer who waits to be told what to work on, this isn't the right role.
• Critical thinking about the business. You understand what Intercom is optimizing for and translate that into technical decisions. Which work streams need investment? Where are we falling behind? What should we defund to go harder somewhere else? You think at this level naturally.
• At least ~10+ years of experience, with significant time as a technical leader driving complex projects across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Stack agnostic. We use Ruby on Rails, React (migrating from Ember), and AWS. But AI tools increasingly abstract the stack — what matters is your ability to learn, build, and operate effectively with tools like Claude Code. What's the opportunity? 

Lead a high-performing Customer Campaigns & Lifecycle Marketing team. This team manages all customer marketing communications, with a goal of driving more adoption and usage of Fin—our AI agent, and mature usage of Intercom—our helpdesk product. As lead, you're accountable for overall team performance. You’re responsible for the delivery of an excellent customer experience for current customers, you’re the gatekeeper of our customer messaging, across in-product channels and email.

You’ll lead customer communications for product launches, events and product changes.
This role spans across the customer lifecycle: Conversion, Activation/Onboarding, Usage, Maturity, Expansion, Churn mitigation. And you’ll also be responsible for implementing and overseeing the platforms/tooling stack we choose to use. 

You’ll work with multiple senior stakeholders across the Growth, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Sales and Customer Support teams.

What will I be doing? 

• Leading a team of 3-4 highly autonomous individual contributors, focused on different projects, different company initiatives/objectives and supporting different internal teams. 
• Implementing a significant customer marketing campaign tool overhaul to improve the capabilities of the Customer Campaigns & Lifecycle Marketing team in the AI era.
• You’ll foster a team culture that is focused on Intercom values. You’ll be an AI native marketer and quickly be delivering 2x output, leading by example.

• An AI-first approach to marketing: proficient in AI tooling, including Claude Code experience. You can demonstrate significant usage to build strategy, develop and deploy campaigns and to measure performance, with clear evidence of speed and quality gains in doing so. 
• 3+ years experience of leading a team, and mentoring team members. 
• Experience in the B2B SaaS, tech or AI industry. 
• You are extremely proactive and need little guidance from leadership. 
• Very strong stakeholder management, with a track record of successful partnerships with Product/R&D, Sales, Customer Success and other Marketing teams on initiatives that drive revenue and growth.
• Knowledge of the Intercom platform and Marketo. You’ve also implemented new Marketing Automation tools, working with Ops and external teams to get projects delivered. Experience with multiple marketing automation/email platforms is a bonus.

This role sits within the Service Agent pillar: 12 teams and growing, building every capability that makes Fin work. You'll own 1-2 of the most strategically significant work streams in the pillar. These aren't static teams with stable roadmaps. We re-evaluate priorities at the pillar level constantly, spinning up and down work streams and dynamic teams to solve whatever matters most right now. The teams you lead six months in may look nothing like the ones you start with. You need to be okay with that.

What will you do?

You'll own strategically significant work streams end-to-end. You're accountable for outcomes, not just delivery cadence or team health, but whether the work actually moved the needle.

This is not a role for facilitators. You will be on the front line: deeply understanding the product, the problem, and the context. Sometimes that means writing code yourself. Sometimes it means doing the analysis, or driving cross-functional collaboration, or force-multiplying someone on your team who's stuck. There is a straight line between your work and the impact being delivered. You lead from the front.

We regularly spin up new work streams around emerging priorities. You'll bring together engineers who've never worked as a team, set high expectations, build momentum under aggressive timelines, and drive execution. Then the shape of your teams may change again. That's the job.

You'll develop senior engineers into leaders. We don't need someone who mentors juniors on the basics. We need someone who accelerates staff and senior engineers, who gives direct, actionable feedback that changes outcomes, and who grows the leadership capacity of the people around them.

You'll partner with the Engineering Director on pillar-level strategy. Where should we invest more? Where are we falling behind? What should we defund? You bring these opinions, backed by what you're seeing on the ground.

And you'll do all of this in an AI-first engineering culture. Every engineer has Claude Code with unlimited tokens and a sophisticated ecosystem of MCP servers, skills, and shared context. You'll push the boundaries of what's possible with AI-assisted development, both personally and through how you set up your teams.

What are we looking for?

The most important thing: you need to be an exceptional people leader AND personally action-oriented. Not one or the other. We don't want managers who are great with people but distant from the product. And we don't want hands-on operators who neglect the leadership craft. Technically credible. You don't need to be the deepest engineer in the room, but you can hold your own. You can review an architecture proposal and ask the right questions. You can spot when a team is over-engineering or under-investing. Engineers respect your technical judgment.

Communication. You can explain to leadership why a team needs more investment, align multiple stakeholders around a complex project, have a difficult performance conversation, and unblock an engineer on a gnarly problem, all in the same day.

Extreme autonomy. You partner with the Engineering Director on where the pillar needs to go next. You identify problems, form convictions, and act on them. If you're the kind of manager who waits for direction, this isn't the right role.

What's the opportunity? 

We’re looking for Staff Product Engineers to join the AI Group to build Intercom’s AI-powered products. Product Engineers working in ML work closely with both our ML Scientists and product teams. They must deeply understand our product, our customers, our ML tech stack and our broader product stack. 

Our group is responsible for defining new ML features, researching appropriate algorithms and technologies, and rapidly getting first prototypes in our customers’ hands.
