Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Finance Systems team at Anthropic. In this role, based on our recent go live on Workday Financials, you will serve as the internal functional lead for our Workday Financials,, owning the design and configuration of the Financial Data Model (FDM), Chart of Accounts, and dimensional structures that will serve as the source of truth for financial reporting. You will develop Prism Analytics and Accounting Center solutions, gather requirements and build reporting capabilities, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive the successful adoption of the Workday platform.
This is a critical role that will directly shape how Anthropic's finance organization operates as we scale toward public company readiness. You will work at the intersection of finance domain expertise and technical implementation, partnering with the implementation partner, engineering teams, and finance stakeholders to build a world-class financial systems foundation.
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.

We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues. Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
We are seeking a Strategic Finance partner to join our Finance team at Anthropic, focused on operating expenses (OpEx) with a primary partnership across our Engineering organization. In this role, you will be the financial partner to engineering leaders — helping them make smart, well-informed decisions about headcount, vendor spend, tooling, and the operational investments that fuel our research and product work. As we continue to grow rapidly, you will play a crucial role in shaping how we plan, allocate, and steward OpEx across the company.
You'll build driver-based models that tie vendor and tooling spend to the underlying technical inputs (usage, seats, throughput, capacity), and you'll be expected to engage substantively with engineering leaders on the technical realities behind those drivers — and to push back with conviction when the numbers don't add up. The strongest partners on this team aren't order-takers; they ask sharp questions, challenge assumptions, and help engineering leaders land on better decisions than they'd reach alone. If you're excited about getting close to the technology, holding your ground in a debate with a thoughtful engineering leader, and helping a fast-growing AI company invest its resources well, we'd love to hear from you.
Serve as the primary finance partner to Engineering leaders, providing guidance and recommendations on vendor and tooling spend, and resource allocation decisions.
Build and maintain driver-based financial models for engineering OpEx — tying vendor and tooling spend to the underlying technical drivers (usage, seats, throughput, capacity, utilization) rather than top-down growth assumptions
Develop a deep understanding of the engineering tooling and vendor stack so you can engage substantively with technical leaders on what's driving spend and where it's headed
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for the engineering organization, partnering with leaders to translate roadmaps into resource plans
Push back constructively on assumptions, proposals, and forecasts — bringing data, sharp questions, and clear reasoning to help engineering leaders land on better decisions
Prepare clear, concise financial reports, analyses, and variance commentary that highlight key trends, risks, and opportunities for engineering and finance stakeholders
Establish reporting dashboards and scorecards that track engineering headcount, vendor spend efficiency, and other key operational metrics
Drive analyses on build-vs-buy decisions, vendor consolidation, contract negotiations, and organizational design tradeoffs where finance can sharpen engineering decision-making
Partner cross-functionally with Strategic Finance, FP&A, Accounting, Recruiting, and People teams to ensure engineering plans are aligned with broader financial strategy
Participate in resource allocation exercises to ensure clarity around headcount prioritization
Have experience in FP&A, OpEx or G&A finance preferably at high-growth technology companies
Have demonstrated experience building driver-based financial models — tying spend to operational and technical inputs rather than top-down growth rates
Are comfortable with technical concepts and have a genuine interest in understanding the systems, tools, and infrastructure behind the line items you're modeling
Have a track record of pushing back constructively on senior stakeholders — bringing data and clear reasoning to disagreements rather than deferring to the loudest voice in the room
Demonstrate excellent communication and storytelling abilities, with experience presenting to C-suite executives and board members
Have a bias toward action, strong work ethic, and experience driving operational outcomes under tight timelines
Thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and can navigate ambiguity with confidence
Possess strong collaboration skills and can build effective partnerships across functions and levels
Are passionate about Anthropic's mission to build safe, beneficial AI systems
Have experience at a high-growth technology company or startup
Possess expertise with modern financial planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, Pigment)
Have direct experience partnering with Engineering, R&D, or other technical organizations as a finance business partner
Have hands-on experience modeling vendor spend with technical drivers — cloud/SaaS usage, seat-based tooling, observability and data infrastructure costs, etc.
Possess a technical background or coursework (CS, engineering, quantitative field) or comparable self-taught fluency
Have experience leading headcount planning and workforce modeling at scale

Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
Anthropic is seeking a Senior Manager, Infrastructure Accounting to join our Infrastructure Accounting team. In this role, you will execute day-to-day accounting for a portion of Anthropic's infrastructure portfolio — the leased and owned assets underpinning our recently announced $50bn investment in American computing infrastructure. As we continue our rapid growth, you will help ensure the operational scalability and financial accuracy of the core functions that enable Anthropic's research and commercial success.
This is an opportunity to be at the heart of one of the fastest-scaling companies in the industry, and to shape how Anthropic's growing infrastructure portfolio is accounted for and understood across the business.
You will own end-to-end accounting for either Anthropic's lease portfolio or its capex and fixed asset portfolio, working closely with cross-functional partners across Data Center Operations, Real Estate, Finance, and Legal. You'll apply deep technical accounting expertise under ASC 842 (leases) and/or ASC 360 (fixed assets), and help build the processes, controls, and systems that let this function scale.
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
Anthropic is scaling rapidly, and so is our customer base. As our commercial business grows across the Americas, we need a senior leader to own credit and collections for the region. You will join our Invoice to Cash (I2C) team and be responsible for the end-to-end credit and collections lifecycle for Americas customers, from onboarding credit reviews through dispute resolution and cash recovery.
This is a senior people leadership role with meaningful strategic scope and a strong automation mandate. Anthropic expects its finance function to operate at the frontier of what AI and modern tooling make possible, and credit and collections is a natural place to lead from the front. You will manage a team of managers and analysts, set the credit and collections strategy for the region, and own the automation roadmap that lets us scale cash collection without linearly scaling headcount. You will partner closely with Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, and Customer Success leadership, and help shape the processes, policies, and systems that allow us to extend credit responsibly and collect efficiently at enterprise scale. You will report into the Accounts Receivable Lead and work alongside regional counterparts in EMEA and APAC to drive consistency in how we manage customer credit risk globally.
If you enjoy building operational rigor in a fast-moving environment, have a track record of scaling credit and collections functions through automation and AI, and care about doing right by customers while protecting the business, we would love to hear from you.
Set the strategic direction for Americas credit and collections, including portfolio management, aging reviews, and cash forecasting for the region.
Own the Americas collections automation roadmap, including segmentation strategy, dunning workflows, self-service payment experiences, and automated dispute routing.
Drive adoption of AI across the credit and collections workflow, including intelligent prioritization of collector outreach, AI-drafted customer correspondence, predictive risk scoring, and automated reconciliation of customer responses.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of credit and collections professionals, including people managers, setting clear KPIs around DSO, aging, collection effectiveness, and automation coverage.
Own credit risk strategy for new and existing Americas customers, including credit policy, credit limit frameworks, payment term guidelines, and data-driven escalation of higher-risk accounts.
Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, and Legal leadership on contract negotiations involving payment terms, credit exposure, and non-standard billing arrangements.
Drive timely resolution of material customer disputes in partnership with Billing Operations, Cash Application, and Customer Success.
Develop and refine credit and collections policies, playbooks, and escalation paths suited to a rapidly scaling enterprise SaaS business, with automation embedded by default rather than bolted on.
Lead the Americas rollout and continued optimization of our AR automation platform, including workflow design, integrations with ERP and billing systems, and reporting.
Partner with Finance Systems and internal AI tooling teams to identify and deploy agentic and LLM-based solutions that reduce manual work and improve decision quality across the credit and collections lifecycle.
Deliver regular reporting and insights on receivables health, bad debt reserves, collections performance, and automation metrics to senior finance leadership.
Collaborate with regional AR peers to harmonize global credit and collections standards while accounting for Americas-specific commercial and regulatory nuances.
Represent Americas AR in cross-functional initiatives spanning systems, controls, and finance transformation.
Experience leading credit and collections teams in a high-growth or enterprise SaaS environment, including managing other managers.
Demonstrated experience driving automation across credit and collections workflows, with measurable improvements to efficiency, coverage, or DSO.
Strong working knowledge of commercial credit risk assessment, including use of credit reporting tools (e.g., D&B, Experian) and financial statement analysis.
Hands-on experience with ERP and AR systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and AR automation platforms (e.g., Tesorio, HighRadius, Billtrust), including shaping workflow and integration design rather than just using them.
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for portfolio analysis, reporting, and ad hoc modeling.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive customer and executive-level internal conversations diplomatically.
10+ years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, credit, or collections, including significant time leading teams and managing people managers.
Hands-on experience deploying AI or LLM-based solutions in a finance or AR context, whether through vendor tooling, custom workflows, or agentic systems.
Experience supporting a company through rapid scaling, including process build-out, systems implementation, and org design.
Familiarity with enterprise contract structures, including multi-year deals, usage-based billing, and non-standard payment terms.
Exposure to global AR operations and cross-regional coordination.
Experience partnering with Sales and Deal Desk leadership on complex commercial negotiations.
Working knowledge of SOX controls and audit requirements as they relate to AR and credit.
Comfort prompting and evaluating LLMs as part of daily work, and a point of view on where AI creates real leverage in a finance function versus where it does not.

We are looking for a Head of IT SOX to join our Internal Audit SOX team at Anthropic. In this role, you will lead the organization's IT SOX compliance program, with a primary focus on IT General Controls (ITGCs), application controls, and system/process risk assessments. You'll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Security, IT, DevOps, and Finance to ensure the organization meets SOX 404 compliance requirements in a rapidly scaling, technology-driven environment.

As the Head of IT SOX, you will own SOX IT planning, scoping, testing, remediation, and reporting activities. You'll work directly with technical partners to design and implement scalable controls, oversee documentation, and manage communication with external auditors. You will play a critical role in scaling our revenue by managing complex deals and developing standardized processes that balance speed with control. You'll work at the intersection of finance, sales, legal, and compliance teams to ensure our products reach customers to support Anthropic's rapid growth. Day-to-day, you'll quarterback complex deals through CPQ, contract management, and internal approvals. Own Anthropic’s deal-making execution processes, ensuring that all commercial workflows can seamlessly navigate internal processes
Build AI-native tooling with internal teams to meaningfully scale our commercial processes
Optimize operational workflows that reduce friction in the sales cycle and accelerate time-to-close
Act as the bridge between Sales and supporting teams, maintaining contract and compliance management systems and ensuring agreement terms align with company standards
Maintain visibility on high-priority deals, providing appropriate escalation paths when commercial terms require executive input
Collaborate with Legal teams to validate that agreements reflect the correct commercial intent and approvals
Track and analyze deal patterns to identify bottlenecks and propose data-driven improvements to our sales operations
Maintain and improve deal documentation: approval policies, pricing guidelines, SKU guidance, and process playbooks
Have 3+ years of experience in deal desk, sales strategy, commercial operations, or related roles, preferably in a high-growth technology environment
Are comfortable both executing within existing systems (CPQ, SFDC, contract platforms) and improving those systems as you go
Bring a detail-oriented, process-improvement mindset: you notice when something is manual or error-prone and you want to fix it
Have excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with proven success coordinating across multiple departments
Strong project management skills with experience juggling multiple critical initiatives
Bias toward action and comfort operating in ambiguity
Have experience with CRM systems, CPQ tools, and contract management platforms
Have a collaborative mindset and enjoy solving complex problems through cross-functional partnership
Experience with Salesforce, CPQ tools (Nue, Apttus, Steelbrick), or contract management platforms (Ironclad, Docusign CLM)
Background in project management, sales strategy, or commercial operations, where you’ve balanced operational excellence with building scaled systems
Experience with deal operations at companies with subscription and/or consumption-based business models
Knowledge of enterprise software contract terms and industry-standard commercial practices
Understanding of AI business models and the unique commercial considerations

Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
Anthropic is seeking a Director, Infrastructure Capex Accounting to join our Infrastructure Accounting team. In this role, you will lead accounting for a significant portion of Anthropic's owned infrastructure — network equipment, data center buildouts, and related capital assets underpinning our recently announced $50bn investment in American computing infrastructure. As we continue our rapid growth, you will help ensure the operational scalability and financial accuracy of the core functions that enable Anthropic's research and commercial success.
This is an opportunity to be at the heart of one of the fastest-scaling companies in the industry, and to shape how Anthropic's growing fixed asset base is accounted for and understood across the business.
You will own end-to-end accounting and set the strategy for scaling this function, working closely with cross-functional partners across Data Center Operations, Real Estate, Finance, and Legal. You'll apply deep technical accounting expertise under ASC 360, and build the processes, controls, and systems that let this function scale. Over time, the scope of this role may expand to include supply chain accounting as Anthropic's operational footprint grows.
Lead end-to-end accounting for one of Anthropic's infrastructure portfolios — network equipment, data center buildouts, and related capital assets — including monthly close, construction-in-progress (CIP) tracking, reconciliations, roll-forwards, and flux analysis
Apply technical accounting expertise to complex infrastructure arrangements under ASC 360 (capitalization, useful lives, impairment, disposals, and asset retirement obligations)
Partner with Real Estate, Legal, and Finance teams during contract negotiation and execution to ensure accounting implications are understood before commitments are made
Serve as a trusted finance partner to non-finance stakeholders — explaining the financial statement impact of their decisions in clear, simple terms they can act on
Collaborate cross-functionally to improve the quality of upstream data pipelines from operational and contract systems, particularly around asset receipt, deployment, and in-service dates
Design and scale systems, processes, and controls to support a rapidly growing fixed asset portfolio
Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals focused on your portfolio
Serve as a key point of contact with external auditors on fixed asset and capex accounting matters
Drive process improvements and automation, including leveraging AI tooling, to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting
Have 12+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with operational experience at technology or infrastructure-heavy companies
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent preferred
Possess strong technical accounting knowledge of ASC 360, particularly as applied to infrastructure, data center, or compute-related assets
Have experience managing a significant fixed asset portfolio in a high-growth environment

Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
We are seeking a Director of Technical Accounting – M&A and Investments to join our Finance team at Anthropic. In this role, you will serve as the company’s principal accounting authority for mergers, acquisitions, strategic investments, and other complex capital transactions. You will own the technical accounting lifecycle for every deal — from term-sheet diligence through purchase accounting, opening balance sheet, and post-close measurement-period adjustments — and you will build the function, playbooks, and team required to execute these transactions with public-company rigor.
As Anthropic continues to scale rapidly and deploy capital into acquisitions, minority investments, joint ventures, and novel commercial structures, you will be the decisive voice on structuring alternatives, consolidation outcomes, and financial statement impact. You will partner directly with Corporate Development, Legal, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and executive leadership to ensure that deal economics are accurately reflected under US GAAP and that positions are defensible to external auditors, valuation specialists, and future regulators.
This is a builder-leader role: you will establish the M&A and investments accounting function largely from the ground up, recruit and develop a high-performing team, and stand up the controls, valuation governance, and close-ready documentation expected of a large accelerated filer. If you thrive on being in the room when deals are shaped — and then making the accounting land cleanly — we want to hear from you.
Serve as the company’s principal technical accounting authority for business combinations, asset acquisitions, strategic equity investments, joint ventures, divestitures, and related financing and equity structures
Lead accounting due diligence on prospective transactions; evaluate structuring alternatives and advise Corporate Development and executive leadership on GAAP, control, and earnings implications before terms are finalized
Own end-to-end purchase accounting: identification of the acquirer, determination of the acquisition date, measurement of consideration transferred (including contingent consideration, rollover equity, and replacement awards), recognition and measurement of identifiable assets and liabilities, and goodwill
Direct the consolidation assessment for every investee and structured arrangement, including VIE identification, primary-beneficiary analysis, and ongoing reconsideration events
Oversee the investment portfolio accounting model — determining and monitoring classification across consolidation, equity method, the measurement alternative, and fair value through earnings — and govern observable-price-change and impairment reviews
Manage third-party valuation specialists; review and challenge purchase price allocations, intangible asset valuations, contingent consideration fair values, and impairment analyses
Author and defend technical accounting memoranda for each transaction; serve as the primary point of contact with external auditors on M&A, investment, and consolidation matters
Build and lead the M&A and Investments Accounting team — define roles, hire, mentor, and set the operating cadence — while remaining a hands-on reviewer on the most judgmental areas
Design and implement the deal-accounting operating model: diligence checklists, Day-1 close playbooks, opening balance sheet procedures, measurement-period tracking, integration accounting workplans, and SOX-ready controls over non-routine transactions
Drive post-close integration accounting, including conforming accounting policies, system/ledger onboarding, working capital true-ups, earn-out remeasurement, and push-down considerations
Prepare and review transaction-related disclosures for quarterly and annual financial statements, including pro forma financial information and significance testing where applicable
Partner with Tax on deal structuring, inside/outside basis differences, and ASC 740 impacts of acquisitions and investments; partner with Treasury and Legal on equity, SAFE/convertible, and complex financing instruments embedded in deals
Present transaction accounting conclusions and financial statement impacts to the Controller, CFO, and Audit Committee in clear, decision-ready terms
Monitor standard-setting and SEC developments affecting business combinations, consolidation, and investments; lead adoption and cross-functional education
Have 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 6+ years leading teams and owning the accounting for M&A and strategic investment transactions end-to-end
Hold an active CPA license
Bring significant Big 4 experience — ideally including time in a National Office, Transaction/Deal Advisory, or Capital Markets/Accounting Advisory group — paired with in-house experience at a high-growth or public technology company
Have personally led the technical accounting for multiple closed acquisitions and a portfolio of minority/strategic investments, including at least one transaction of meaningful scale or complexity
Possess deep command of US GAAP for business combinations, consolidation, equity method and other investments, fair value measurement, and related areas, with a track record of authoring positions that withstand auditor and regulator scrutiny
Are fluent in valuation concepts and can credibly direct and challenge third-party specialists on PPA, contingent consideration, and impairment models
Have built or materially scaled a deal-accounting or investments-accounting function, including hiring, playbook creation, and controls design
Operate with executive presence — able to influence Corporate Development, Legal, and the C-suite on structuring trade-offs, and to present to the Audit Committee
Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication, translating complex deal accounting into clear business implications for non-accountants
Excel at both strategic leadership and hands-on technical review, and move comfortably between the two in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
Are proficient with accounting systems (NetSuite preferred), consolidation tools, and advanced Excel/modeling
Have deep, practitioner-level expertise in one or more of the following:
Business combinations and asset acquisitions (ASC 805), including contingent consideration, replacement share-based awards, and step acquisitions
Consolidation and VIE analysis (ASC 810), including kick-out/participating rights and primary-beneficiary reassessment
Equity method investments and joint ventures (ASC 323), including basis differences and in-substance common stock
Equity securities and the measurement alternative (ASC 321), including observable price changes and impairment
Fair value measurement (ASC 820) and acquired financial instruments (ASC 815, 825)
Goodwill and intangibles, including impairment testing and IPR&D (ASC 350, 360)
Foreign currency and highly inflationary considerations in acquired entities (ASC 830)
Have led accounting for carve-outs, divestitures, spin-offs, or legal-entity rationalizations
Have prepared or reviewed pro forma financial information under Article 11 of Regulation S-X and performed S-X Rule 3-05 / 1-02(w) significance testing
Have stood up SOX-compliant controls over non-routine transactions and investment valuation governance
Have experience with novel AI/technology deal structures — acqui-hires, IP/license-heavy transactions, data and compute arrangements, revenue-share partnerships, and strategic investor rights
Have supported S-1 or other registration statement processes for transaction-related financial statements and disclosures
Have implemented or integrated ERP/consolidation platforms for acquired entities
Are passionate about leveraging technology and AI to accelerate diligence, memo drafting, and close

Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
Anthropic’s Finance Systems team builds and owns the infrastructure that powers our quote-to-cash lifecycle—from pricing and billing through revenue recognition and financial close. As our revenue model grows in complexity, the team is moving beyond configuring off-the-shelf platforms and into building homegrown, production-grade financial applications that no vendor has built for us yet.
We are seeking a Finance Systems Engineer to join our Finance Systems team in San Francisco. In this hands-on engineering role, you will both configure and extend the third-party platforms that run our financial operations including Zuora, Stripe, and Tesorio and design, build, and own full-stack applications and integrations that sit on top of them. You will write production Python, Node.js, and React code, author Workato recipes and API integrations across our SaaS stack, administer and tune the systems themselves, and ship working software—not manage vendors or write requirements documents. You will work at the intersection of software engineering and finance, building and configuring the tools that allow our Accounting, Revenue Operations, and Order Management teams to operate efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with SOX and ASC 606 requirements.
The first thing you will inherit is our homegrown ledger application and the integrations that connect it to Workday, NetSuite, Zuora, Stripe, Tesorio, and Salesforce. From there, you will help us build the next generation of Finance tooling: self-serve workflows, automated reconciliation, and the operational surfaces that let Finance move at the speed the business demands. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy building scalable financial infrastructure from the ground up, come join us in our mission to build safe, transformative AI.
Own the architecture, development, and maintenance of Anthropic's internal finance applications, and own the configuration and ongoing administration of third-party platforms such as Zuora, Workday, and Tesorio
Build and maintain integrations across the Finance systems stack: Zuora, Stripe, Workday, NetSuite, Salesforce, Tesorio, BigQuery and Billing applications
Design system integrations that are auditable, observable, and recoverable—with the rigor that SOX compliance demands
Identify manual, error-prone workflows in the month-end close and automate them with tested, production-grade solutions
Partner with Accounting, Revenue Operations, and Order Management teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs—and then build them yourself
Develop and maintain technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and runbooks so the team can operate systems without engineering dependency
Contribute to continuous delivery infrastructure so Finance systems can ship reliably and frequently
Instrument the Finance systems stack with observability tooling so the team knows when a pipeline breaks before the accountants do
Become the go-to domain expert for one or more areas of the revenue systems stack within your first six months
Have 7+ years of engineering experience and are comfortable owning full-stack builds from architecture through production deployment
Are proficient in Python and JavaScript/Node.js; React experience is a strong plus
Have experience building and maintaining system integrations—REST APIs, event-driven pipelines, or ETL workflows—in a production environment
Have worked with BigQuery, Postgres, or similar data platforms and are comfortable writing SQL for analysis, debugging, and reconciliation
Bring enough business context to ask the right questions when a Finance stakeholder explains a problem—you don’t need to be an accountant, but you need to care about getting it right
Are comfortable working directly in systems—configuring, troubleshooting, and building solutions yourself rather than solely managing vendors
Thrive in environments where the problem is ambiguous and the solution needs to be built from scratch
Are energized by working close to the business—you want to see the impact of your code, not just ship features
Have experience with Workato, MuleSoft, or similar iPaaS platforms for enterprise system integration
Have worked with Zuora, CPQ, NetSuite, Workday, or Stripe in a technical capacity
Have built SOX-compliant systems or supported an external audit related to financial systems
Have deep understanding with ASC 606 revenue recognition or consumption-based billing models
Be a power user of Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tools
Have experience at a high-growth technology company navigating system consolidation
Have object-oriented programming experience in Java or similar languages if Python/Node.js experience is limited

Anthropic is building Treasury with scale and automation in mind from the start. We're creating modern, well-controlled processes that can grow with the business; supported by strong systems, clear governance, and practical use of AI-enabled tools. We're designing touchless, AI-native workflows from day one, with SOX-grade controls built in rather than bolted on.
This role reports to the Treasury Ops Lead and plays a central part in building and running the company's Treasury Operations foundation. You'll manage core activities: daily cash positioning, global bank account administration, intercompany funding, payment controls, and Treasury reporting - while improving processes so the function scales efficiently as the company grows.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both execution and process building. You should be comfortable running key day-to-day activities while identifying opportunities to improve, automate, and strengthen controls.
You'll be the second person in a Treasury Ops function at a company that's growing fast and building deliberately. The processes you design in your first six months are the ones the company runs on at 10x scale. The ownership is end-to-end, and the toolkit is ours - you'll design Treasury workflows that are AI-native from the first draft, the way only Anthropic can.
Core Treasury Operations
Manage daily cash positioning across entities and currencies, including tracking balances and consolidating cash activity
Lead global bank account management; account opening and closing coordination, signer updates, KYC documentation, and portal administration
Help design and manage intercompany settlement and funding processes, including documentation and ongoing improvement
Maintain short-term cash forecasting, including variance tracking and reporting
Support payment workflows and controls; approval routing, exception handling, operational process improvements
Support Letter of Credit and Bank Guarantee issuance and post-M&A Treasury integration activities
Systems & Automation
Support TMS implementation, bank connectivity, reporting enhancements, and process standardization
Design the "Claudification" layer: identify which workflows go touchless, build the automation, keep humans in the decisions that need judgment
Partner with Finance Systems to simplify and automate Treasury processes
Own Treasury data quality - the source of truth that everything downstream depends on
Controls & Governance
Execute Treasury processes with strong focus on controls, documentation, segregation of duties, and audit readiness
Support development and maintenance of Treasury policies, procedures, and control documentation
Document Treasury controls for SOX readiness; not as a separate project, but as how the work gets done
Partner with Accounting on close activities, reporting, and audit requests
5–8 years in Treasury operations, ideally at a growth-stage or scaling company where you saw processes get built, not just inherited
You currently own the daily cash position. You log into the bank portals, you run the position, you execute the wires. This is a doing role, not a managing role
Treasury-native depth. You came up through Treasury; TMS, KYC mechanics, bank account administration, cash positioning judgment. This isn't a payments-processing seat; it's a Treasury seat
Player-coach DNA. You still do the work; run the cash position, chase the KYC doc, troubleshoot the wire - while building the system so nobody has to do it manually next quarter
Hands-on TMS experience. You've worked in a Treasury Management System (Kyriba, GTreasury, Trovata, Quantum, or similar): configured it, broken it, fixed it. Implementation experience is a plus but not required
SOX in your DNA. You think in audit trails, approval chains, and segregation of duties; not because compliance makes you, but because well-controlled processes are the ones that scale
Comfort with ambiguity. There's no playbook here. You'll write it
AI-first mindset. Not a prompt engineer; a Treasury person who wants the model handling data so you can focus on decisions.
Exposure to SOX readiness or IPO prep, even as a contributor
Multi-entity, multi-currency operations background
Worked with bank APIs or Treasury aggregators (Trovata, Kyriba, or direct connectivity)
APAC or EMEA bank account opening experience

As Director, Accounts Payable, you will oversee end-to-end global AP operations at Anthropic: vendor inquiries, invoice processing, vendor payment execution, vendor master data management, month-end close deliverables, and AP internal controls. You will report to the Head of Finance Operations and lead a lean team, with a mandate to transform AP from a high-performing operations function into a strategic, SOX-ready, AI-native pillar of Finance.

Team Leadership & AI Automation (Claudification)
Lead and develop a lean team, building depth and cross-training to eliminate single points of failure
Foster a high-trust, collaborative team culture rooted in our team values of collaboration, impact, and curiosity — where team members take ownership of their areas, speak up with feedback, and ask 'could Claude have done that?' after every manual process
12+ years of accounts payable experience at a high-growth technology company, including 5+ years in a leadership role owning end-to-end AP operations
Demonstrated experience leading AP through a major ERP migration (NetSuite to Workday, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)—including data migration, UAT, cutover, and stabilization
Track record of designing and documenting SOX-compliant AP internal controls in a pre-IPO or public company environment, with direct exposure to external auditor walkthroughs
Proven ability to reduce late payments and improve AP cycle times through process redesign, automation, and root cause analysis—with specific, quantified outcomes
