Position - Requirements Position - Responsibilities
1. Central Finance Leadership: Lead the end-to-end implementation or migration of SAP S/4HANA Central Finance, ensuring SAP Best Practice adoption and harmonized financial processes.
2. Finance Harmonization: Drive standardization of chart of accounts, controlling structures, and financial master data across source systems.
3. Team Orchestration: Coordinate Finance functional teams and cross-functional technical teams ensuring data replication, reconciliation, and reporting accuracy.
4. Stakeholder Management: Act as a key interface with global Finance leadership, CFO organization, and local finance teams.
5. Landscape Complexity: Manage multi-system and multi-ledger environments, ensuring consistency between Central Finance and source ERPs.
6. Performance Under Pressure: Maintain delivery momentum and financial data integrity within tight deadlines and high governance standard
Technical Competences
1. S/4HANA Finance & Central Finance Architecture
a. Lead the transition from ECC-based Finance to S/4HANA Finance and Central Finance, enabling real-time financial processing and reporting.
b. Strong understanding of Universal Journal (ACDOCA) and its impact on FI and CO integration.
c. Expertise in CDS Views and S/4HANA Embedded Analytics for Finance, enabling real-time financial statements, management reporting, and profitability analysis.
d. Ability to drive adoption of SAP Fiori Finance apps, ensuring role-based access, compliance, and improved user experience.
2. Migration & Data Replication Strategy
a. Deep expertise in Central Finance data replication using SLT, including FI documents, CO postings, and master data.
b. Definition of Finance test strategies (SIT, UAT, Regression, Integration, Financial Reconciliation).
c. Strong understanding of Finance data migration, including open items, balances, and historical data considerations.
d. Mastery of the S/4HANA Simplification Item Catalog for Finance-related impacts (Business Partner, Asset Accounting, New GL).
3. Integration & Extensibility (Clean Core)
a. Ownership of Finance integrations under Clean Core principles, governing integration between Central Finance and source systems using APIs, IDocs, and event-based integration.
b. SAP BTP knowledge for side-by-side Finance extensions, custom analytics, and regulatory reporting.
c. SAP Integration Suite / CPI understanding for real-time and batch financial data replication.
d. Continued mastery of classic integration mechanisms (ALE/IDoc, RFC, BAPIs) where required.
4. 4. Landscape, Controls & Governance
a. Understanding of transport and change governance in regulated Finance environments.
b. Strong focus on data consistency, reconciliation, auditability, and financial controls.
c. Ability to collaborate with security teams on authorizations, segregation of duties (SoD), and compliance.

The Opportunity
ClearEngine is seeking an outstanding Strategic Finance Associate to support strategic financial advisory services across a portfolio of growing consumer businesses. In this role, you will support the execution of Fractional CFO engagements, working directly with founders and operators to translate financial data into clear, actionable decisions around growth, profitability, and cash management.
You will partner closely with ClearEngine’s Principals and senior team to deliver high-impact financial analysis, build and run core finance processes, and help clients navigate complex trade-offs as they scale. This role offers hands-on exposure to real operating decisions across multiple businesses, with increasing client interaction and ownership over time.
This role is ideal for someone with 2–4 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, internal financial operations at a start-up or consumer/retail company, investment banking, or financial consulting. This role provides a unique opportunity for growth in an entrepreneurial setting, offering hands-on exposure to diverse, high-growth businesses and strategic projects.
