About Gusto
At Gusto, we're on a mission to grow the small business economy. We handle the hard stuff — payroll, health insurance, 401(k)s, and HR — so owners can focus on their craft and their customers. With teams in Denver, San Francisco, and New York, we support more than 500,000 small businesses nationwide and are building a workplace that reflects the people we serve.
All full-time employees receive competitive base pay, benefits, and equity (RSUs) — because everyone who helps build Gusto should share in its success. Offer amounts are determined by role, level, and location. Learn more about our Total Rewards philosophy.
AI is a fundamental part of how work gets done at Gusto. We expect all team members to actively engage with AI tools relevant to their role and grow their fluency as the technology evolves. AI experience requirements vary by role and will be assessed during the interview process.
About Design at Gusto
Design at Gusto is made up of over 80 creative, collaborative people who care deeply about our mission to empower small businesses and their employees. We're a cross-functional group that is always looking for opportunities to build understanding and empathy for the people who use Gusto. We don't care much about swim lanes and though we care deeply about quality and craft, we are never precious about it. We work closely with cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, Data, and Marketing to design, build, and ship experiences that make a real difference. We believe great design can make hard things possible, even delightful.
We are building an AI-native design organization — and we mean that seriously. We're looking for designers who are already working this way: using AI to prototype ideas quickly, shorten customer feedback loops, and ship quality UX directly to customers. This isn't a future aspiration — it's how we work now, and it's changing what the design role looks like at Gusto and across the industry.
About the role:
We’re hiring a Principal Product Designer to lead AI design across Gusto.
This is one of the most senior individual contributor design roles at the company. You’ll define how AI works, behaves, and earns trust across the Gusto platform – starting with Gus, our AI conversational assistant, and expanding into AI-powered workflows embedded in payroll, benefits, HR, and beyond. You’ll shape the interaction model, UX principles, and product direction for AI across Gusto. You will work with senior Product and Engineering leaders to define our AI portfolio. You will develop important AI features that customers will consider and you’ll ship high-impact, customer-facing AI capabilities that help our customers get their work done faster and more effectively, while building their trust in Gusto. These features will help customers finish their tasks faster and build their trust in Gusto.
This role is both strategic and hands-on. We’re looking for someone who can set a long-term UX vision for AI and turn it into real, shipped product that meaningfully improves how small businesses get work done.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
Here’s what we're looking for:
At Gusto, we strive to provide rewards that empower employees to achieve their financial and personal goals. We offer competitive compensation packages with a strong emphasis on equity based compensation (ownership in Gusto). To learn more about Gusto’s compensation philosophy and benefits offerings please view our Total Rewards Approach page.
Our cash compensation range for this role is $204,000/yr to $238,000/yr in Denver & most remote locations, and $240,000/yr to $280,000/yr in San Francisco, Seattle & New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.
Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.
When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required. This includes non-office days for hybrid employees.
Our customers come from all walks of life and so do we. We hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds, not just because it's the right thing to do, but because it makes our company stronger. If you share our values and our enthusiasm for small businesses, you will find a home at Gusto.
Gusto is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate in hiring or any employment decision based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, genetic information, veteran status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or other applicable legally protected characteristic. Gusto considers qualified applicants with criminal histories, consistent with applicable federal, state and local law. Gusto is also committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in our job application procedures. We want to see our candidates perform to the best of their ability. If you require a medical or religious accommodation at any time throughout your candidate journey, please fill out this form and a member of our team will get in touch with you.

As an Employer-of-Record (EOR) provider, we offer the HR and compliance infrastructure essential for companies to expand internationally. We take care of the complex, behind-the-scenes work, allowing companies to focus on the strategies that drive their success. We are For People, By People.
The future of work is borderless, and so are we. Our people are located around the globe — in the U.S., the UK, India, Colombia, China, and beyond. Diversity and belonging are not just values, they are who we are.
We are also committed to making a positive impact. Through our Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) impact initiative, we are addressing our environmental footprint and promoting social responsibility. Our impact program is central to our vision and culture, focusing on employee wellness, diversity, charitable work, and ethical corporate governance.
If you are interested in working in a people-centric, global organization, apply below.
Atlas HXM is hiring an exceptional, business-minded Senior Counsel, Commercial Law – Partnerships to join our high-performing Legal & Compliance team. This is an impactful leadership role in which you'll be a driving force behind Atlas HXM's Employer of Record ("EOR") business — structuring and negotiating the complex, high-value commercial agreements that power our ability to hire, pay, and support workers across 160+ countries on behalf of our clients and partners, while safeguarding our company's global operations.
You will partner closely with cross-functional teams within Sales, Partnerships, Operations, and Finance, and provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice and support on a wide variety of partner-related commercial deals and issues. You will own deal strategy end-to-end — shaping negotiation approaches, closing critical agreements, and fostering strong, trust-based relationships both internally and externally. You will also work closely with colleagues in Legal & Compliance to ensure Atlas HXM's unwavering commitment to global compliance is always fulfilled.
This position reports to the Director, Assistant General Counsel, Commercial Law, and offers the opportunity to lead significant deals, manage others, and work alongside C-level executives in a fast-paced, highly dynamic industry. The ideal candidate combines deep EOR market knowledge with elite negotiation skills, exceptional written and verbal communication, and the emotional intelligence to navigate high-stakes conversations and difficult personalities with integrity and poise. We are looking for someone who is principled without being rigid, commercially sharp without losing sight of the bigger picture, and who takes full ownership of everything they touch.

WORK ARRANGEMENT
This is a hybrid role based out of our leased Markham, Ontario office (target opening date: July 2026). In alignment with Redwood’s Canada In-Office Policy, the following schedule applies:
Monday and Tuesday are mandatory in-office days for all GTA-based employees.
Wednesday through Friday are flexible — work from the office or remotely based on team needs, project requirements, and personal preference.
A monthly innovation and team-building day will be held in-office.
All GTA-based employees are required to be in-office for one full week (Monday–Friday) each fiscal quarter. Dates are communicated at least four weeks in advance.
Given the nature of this role — supporting multiple ELT members and serving as the operational anchor for the Markham office — additional in-office presence may be expected during leadership visits, executive offsites, and key planning periods. Flexibility to be on-site when it matters most is essential to success in this position.
YOUR IMPACT
As Redwood opens its first Canadian office in Markham, Ontario, this newly created role sits at the intersection of two critical functions: launching and running a best-in-class physical workspace, and providing high-impact executive support to 3-4 members of our Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
You will be the on-the-ground force that brings our Markham office to life — establishing culture, coordinating the day-to-day, and making sure local team members have everything they need to do their best work. Simultaneously, you will operate as a trusted executive partner, keeping senior leaders organized, on time, and focused on what matters most.
You will collaborate closely with two other EAs (based in Florida and Virginia) to ensure consistent, high-quality executive support, and you will report to the Chief of Staff to the CEO. This is a high-impact, high-trust role for someone who is deeply organized, proactive, and energized by variety.
Office Management (40% time)
Support all activities related to the opening of our leased Markham office, including coordinating with vendors, building management, and IT to ensure readiness for a July 2026 launch — target headcount of 40–55 employees by end of year.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all office-related matters — facilities, supplies, equipment, maintenance, and vendor relationships.
Create a welcoming, functional, and well-organized work environment that reflects Redwood's culture and supports both on-site meetings and remote engagement.
Plan and execute in-office employee engagement events, team meetings, all-hands gatherings, and culture moments that connect local employees to the broader global organization.
Own office budgets, expense tracking, and invoice processing related to facilities and operational needs.
Establish and maintain office policies, procedures, and safety protocols in compliance with local regulations and Redwood's global standards.
Partner with IT, HR/People, and Finance to support seamless onboarding experiences for new hires based in or visiting the Markham office.
Manage relationships with building management, security, cleaning services, and other local service providers.
Act as a cultural ambassador — helping remote employees feel connected when they visit, and ensuring local employees feel part of One Redwood.
Executive Assistance (60% time)
Provide proactive, anticipatory calendar management for 3-4 ELT members, including one semi-local to the Greater Toronto Area and others based remotely.
Coordinate complex, multi-party meeting scheduling across time zones, balancing competing priorities with professionalism and good judgment.
Manage end-to-end domestic and international travel arrangements including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, visa/entry requirements, and detailed travel itineraries.
Own expense management — accurately processing and submitting expense reports and ensuring timely reconciliation for supported executives.
Coordinate logistics for leadership offsites and cross-functional executive sessions — including room booking, A/V, catering, and materials.
Maintain organized digital filing systems, shared drives, and reference documents for ELT members.
Collaborate with the EA team in the US to share best practices, align on processes, and cover for one another as needed.
Handle sensitive and confidential information with complete discretion and professionalism at all times.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
4+ years of combined experience in office management, executive assistance, or administrative operations, ideally within a fast-paced technology or SaaS environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder calendars and travel logistics across time zones.
Proven ability to manage an office environment independently — from vendor relationships to facilities operations to employee engagement.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities, adapt to shifting demands, and maintain high-quality output under pressure.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable drafting executive communications and interfacing with senior leaders.
High degree of discretion and integrity when handling confidential information.
Proficiency with modern productivity and collaboration tools including Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, and expense management platforms.
Self-starter mindset with a bias for action — you don't wait to be asked, you anticipate needs and move forward with confidence.
Comfortable operating in a global, remote-first organization where communication, autonomy, and clarity are critical.
Nice to Have
Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to automate repetitive tasks, streamline workflows, or surface insights.
Experience supporting C-suite or senior ELT executives in a global organization.
Familiarity with Greenhouse, Workday, or similar HR/ATS platforms.
Background in helping stand up or scale a new office location.
Experience coordinating events, offsites, or company-wide meetings at scale.
WHY REDWOOD
This is a rare opportunity to put your fingerprints on something new. You will not be inheriting an established office — you will be building one. From day one, you will have a direct line to senior leadership, genuine ownership of your work, and the ability to shape how Redwood shows up in Canada.
We are a company that moves fast, values curiosity, and believes in giving people the autonomy to own their outcomes. If you thrive in environments where no two days are the same, where your contributions are visible, and where "it's not my job" is not in your vocabulary — you will find a home here.
Pay Transparency: The typical base salary range for this position is 87,175 - 99,875 CAD annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
