Ideally, You Have:

We are looking for an experienced Corporate Infrastructure Engineer who will be focused on Wolt and Doordash´s IT Infrastructure. A taster of what you will be involved with: 

• Incident & Problem Management: Investigate system incidents, drive Root Cause Analysis (RCAs), and execute long-term remedial fixes. Proactively reduce the number of incidents caused by system changes.
• Observability & Metrics: Define and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and success metrics for new initiatives. Build and maintain comprehensive dashboards to achieve observability excellence.
• Performance & Capacity: Identify and help resolve performance bottlenecks. Optimize infrastructure and code to maintain fast service, and conduct capacity planning to forecast future hardware or cloud resource requirements.
• Availability & Change Management: Guarantee the Platform components remain highly reachable and functional for users. Oversee deployments to ensure new code does not disrupt the existing system.

What we are looking for

• Observability & Monitoring: Deep experience building dashboards and tracking SLAs/SLOs using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Coralogix, Splunk, or Loki.
• Programming & Automation: Proficiency in scripting and coding to automate manual tasks (eliminate "toil") and build reliability tools. Strong skills in .NET, Python, Powershell or Bash are highly preferred.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Cloud: Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure using Terraform or Ansible, along with a solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Containerization & Orchestration: Hands-on experience scaling and managing distributed systems using Kubernetes (K8s) and Docker.
• CI/CD & Change Management: Familiarity with deployment pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Team City, Octopus) to ensure safe, automated rollouts that don't cause incidents.
• Core Competencies: Strong analytical skills for Root Cause Analysis (RCA), a calm approach to incident response, and the ability to lead blameless post-mortems.
• AWS Cloud infrastructure, CDNs, and other various systems running in multiple data centres and environments
• Cloud Application Load Balancer, preferably with experience on AWS ALB
• Cloud DNS support such as AWS Route 53, GCP Cloud DNS, or Azure DNS
• Experience with Microsoft SQL databases, PostgreSQL, and Couchbase is considered an asset.

The Wow

This role will contribute in designing and developing our platform to fulfil the business needs and to also improve our systems. Within this capacity you will have the chance to design new data pipelines, maintain platforms hosted on data streams for batch and real-time loading and real-time visualisations.

A taster of what you will be involved with: 

• Maintaining and evolving our existing data platform;
• Building processes to ingest data from Kafka, APIs and Databases using AWS MSK Connect.
• Development and Maintenance of real-time data processing applications using frameworks like Spark Structured Streaming and Kafka Streams.
• Applying transformations to data streams;
• Being involved in data modelling following standards e.g. Inmon, Kimball, Data Vault;
• Ensuring data quality by verifying data consistency and accuracy;
• Keeping up to date on research and development of new technologies and techniques to enhance our data platform;
• Have an investigative mindset to be able to troubleshoot – thinking outside the box when it comes to troubleshooting problems and incident management;
• Full ownership on projects and tasks assigned together with being able to work within a Team;
• Able to document well processes and perform knowledge sharing sessions

What we are looking for:

Must haves: 

• Experience with modern cloud database technologies such as Snowflake;
• Experience with orchestrating data pipelines using Airflow;
• Experience with AWS Glue;
• Experience with Apache Iceberg;
• Experience with SQL, and Data Integration Tools
• Experience with any programming language like Python or Scala;
• Knowledge on AWS Services like S3/Lambda/API Gateways/DMS/RDS;

If you've led complex platform or AI initiatives at scale, have strong opinions about AI governance in production systems, and want the scope to shape an entire platform's future, this is that role.

These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview: 

• Principal-level track record at scale. 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years' operating at Staff or Principal Engineer level in an organization of 100+ engineers. You've led large, complex platform or AI initiatives where you were the decision-maker, not a contributor. 

• Deep, opinionated AWS platform expertise. You've designed multi-account AWS architectures and made the call on when serverless is the wrong choice. You work fluently with Infrastructure as Code — Terraform or CDK preferred — and have strong views on observability, resilience, and security that you've translated into org-wide patterns. 

• Production AI systems experience. You've shipped AI-enabled systems — RAG pipelines, agentic frameworks, LLM orchestration, or similar — into production and can discuss the architectural decisions, failure modes, and trade-offs involved. "Understanding AI concepts" is not enough; we need someone who has built and run these systems. 

• AI governance in practice. You've defined and implemented AI governance in real production environments — bias and privacy checks in pipelines, audit-ready monitoring, AI usage policies — not just read about it. This is essential, not a bonus. 

• API design and backend platform delivery. Proven track record designing and shipping RESTful APIs and backend platform components using Node.js/TypeScript. You understand frontend concerns well enough to set API contracts that serve product teams effectively, even if you're not writing React day-to-day. 

• Org-level communication and influence. You can align stakeholders on complex technical decisions, run architecture forums, and mentor other senior technical leaders. You're as comfortable in a board-level conversation as you are in a design review.
