About the team:
The AI & ML Products Development department is responsible for building the platform for ML Services products for IONOS Cloud customers, as well as other companies in the United Internet group.
Our most recent product development features integration of GenerativeAI foundational models, LLMs and others. We run foundational models on prem in our cloud, such as Meta’s Llama, Mistral or StableDiffusion and also VectorDBs and offer them via APIs to our cloud customers.
We are also working with classic ML models for Computer Vision, NLP), audio/voice processing & predictions.
Our team is working with technologies such as HugginFace frameworks, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, vLLM, notebooks, MLflow and others.
On the platform side, technologies: GoLang, Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Hibernate, SQL (PostgreSQL and MySQL) and NOSQL (Redis, MongoDB).
We deploy everything to cloud-native Docker / Kubernetes environments, making use of GitHub + Actions, ArgoCD, Prometheus, and other modern cloud technologies.

Main responsibilities:
Would you like to join the AI Technology team at IONOS (1&1 Internet), Europe’s leading cloud and web hosting provider? We are building a platform that provides AI solutions to customers worldwide, from GenAI / LLM inference, to model training, vector databases and much more.
We are looking for a Go Developer with Python knowledge to develop our AI Cloud platform, which provides GenAI and Machine Learning Services to customers in IONOS Cloud.
In this role, you will:
- Develop platform components, services and APIs, that integrate AI / ML services into our cloud products stack;
- Drive cloud-native implementation as part of a cross-functional team responsible for building our AI / ML platform that will provide AI-based products to our cloud customers, as well as internal clients and IONOS Group brands;
- Take part in all phases of development, maintenance and housekeeping of the platform;
- Work closely with Product Owners, Architects to define the best technical solutions that match our product vision;
- Collaborate with an international organization of software developers and AI enthusiasts.
We appreciate:
- Strong programming language in GO / Python, preferably more than one, and ecosystem knowledge with a 4+ years experience, or 7+ years for Senior level;
- Experience with cloud-native environments such as Docker, Kubernetes;
- Very good command of software design patterns and architectural concepts;
- Experience with building RESTful services;
- Ability to take on technical concepts and deliver solution for project initiatives;
- Microservice oriented architecture, performance and scalability concerns;
- Very good OOP and OOD experience;
- Experience with build tools and versioning systems, such as Git/GitHub/Gitlab, Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD or similar;
- Good written and verbal English skills.
Would be a plus:
- Product-oriented development mindset and a responsible ownership attitude towards software components;
- Previous experience integration AI / ML related solutions;
- Strong understanding of systems resilience, concurrency, and scalability concerns;
- Full-stack development skills are appreciated;

By combining applied research with strong engineering discipline, we enable organizations to continuously improve AI-driven experiences in production environments.A key focus of this role is advancing model evaluation, measurement, and quality improvements, with particular emphasis on Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and downstream NLP systems. You will design rigorous evaluation frameworks, define quality metrics, and drive systematic improvements to model accuracy, robustness, and reliability. You will work closely with applied researchers, product teams, and platform engineers to ensure that model performance improvements translate into measurable business impact.As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will be at the forefront of applying modern ML and speech/NLP techniques to production systems. Your work will focus on improving ASR quality, building scalable evaluation and benchmarking infrastructure, and enabling continuous model iteration through data-driven insights.
- Design, implement, and maintain evaluation frameworks to measure model accuracy, robustness, latency, and real-world performance across ASR and NLP systems.
- Lead ASR quality improvement efforts, including error analysis, dataset curation, metric definition (e.g., WER and task-specific metrics), and model iteration.
- Analyze large-scale speech and text data to identify failure modes and drive targeted model and data improvements.
- Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models for speech recognition and downstream tasks such as classification, entity recognition, information extraction, and structured insight generation.
- Partner with applied research to translate experimental improvements into production-ready systems.
- Collaborate with product managers, platform engineers, and UX teams to align model quality metrics with customer and business goals.
- Optimize ML pipelines and evaluation workflows to operate efficiently and reliably at scale.
- Establish best practices for model validation, offline/online evaluation, and continuous quality monitoring in production.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building, evaluating, and deploying ML models in production.
- Strong background in speech recognition (ASR), speech processing, or closely related domains.
- Deep experience with model evaluation, benchmarking, and error analysis for ML systems.
- Proficiency with ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face).
- Solid understanding of modern ML techniques, including transformer-based models and large-scale training.

What you will be doing, your legacy:
You will be working directly with company Principal Engineers evaluating, scoping, proposing, and building features to fulfill business solution requirements to protect our customers. You will play a direct role in laying the technical foundation for a new product offering. Additionally, you will be working with Engineering and DevOps to deliver high-quality products and services while also working closely with security and IT professionals to ensure safe and secure best practices are followed.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and Design Scalable Data Solutions: Design/develop/maintain Data lakehouse solutions (Iceberg/Delta Lake /Hudi) applying industry best practices and structuring / optimizing the data according to data access patterns.
- Data Pipeline Development: Implement ETL/ELT pipelines using cloud technologies (Spark / pySpark / Glue, Kinesis Streams / Iceberg) to load the data into a Lakehouse for both efficient ML processing and UI reporting.
- Implement data models and data processing frameworks (Spark, Kafka, Snowflake) to ingest, transform, and load large datasets into Data Lakehouse techs (Apache Iceberg, Apache Delta Lake or Apache Hudi), ensuring high availability and reliability of data.
- Advanced Data Integration: Develop solutions that integrate multiple data sources into Snowflake or similar data warehouses to enable real-time analytics and reporting across dashboards.
- AI/ML Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to co-develop AI-driven features identifying patterns and anomalies in client data using AI/ML technologies (python).
- Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with industry standards and secure best practices (SOX, SOC 1/2), by implementing data governance frameworks, monitoring data pipelines, and optimizing cloud database architectures to protect sensitive information.

- Strong experience with AWS (preferably) or Azure , particularly with Glue, EMR, S3, Lambda. Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse experience is a bonus.
- Proficiency in big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, and Databricks for distributed data processing.
- Proficiency with Python libraries for data processing and ML (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Polars, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Hands-on experience in building real-time data processing and AI/ML-driven analytics solutions (SageMaker, Bedrock, NLP, Power BI).
- Ability to architect and manage data lakehouse solutions (Iceberg / Delta Lake / Hudi) or classic warehouse solutions (Redshift, Snowflake).

Our Data Scientist, AI Deployment team is a group of creative technical experts who design and build end-to-end machine learning solutions that power 1-to-1 personalization for some of the world's leading brands. In this role, you will:

As our customer base continues to grow with the excitement around BrazeAI, we’re expanding our team! Join our Field Data Scientist group of creative technical experts who partner with customers to ensure their success. In this role, you will:

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As our customer base continues to grow with the excitement around BrazeAI, we’re expanding our team! Join our Field Data Scientist group of creative technical experts who partner with customers to ensure their success. In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with customer Analytics/BI teams and Braze colleagues on implementations, including use case definition, data integration, pipeline setup, and ML model configuration
- Extend product capabilities by improving architecture and developing reusable data pipelines, APIs, and components
- Work closely with the RL pipeline development team to refine and advance our reinforcement learning (self-learning) algorithms
- Contribute to shaping Braze's product strategy and roadmap through customer-facing insights and technical expertise
- Provide ongoing technical expertise to ensure successful adoption, measurable outcomes, and long-term customer success
WHO YOU ARE
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s or PhD in a relevant technical discipline preferred
- Experience: 3–5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role working with large-scale data and production environments. Experience in customer-facing or consulting roles is strongly preferred
- Strong technical expertise: Proficient in Python (Pandas) and core ML libraries (TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn, CatBoost, XGBoost). Skilled in SQL for querying/manipulating datasets, with experience in machine learning pipelines and model deployment
- Engineering best practices: You write well-structured, modular, documented code; follow strong development practices (Git, CI/CD, testing frameworks, type-hinting, code reviews); and can build scalable, maintainable solutions
- Nice-to-have skills: Experience with DevOps tools (Airflow, Kubernetes, Terraform, GCP), data integration/ETL and pipeline optimization, or reinforcement learning algorithms
- Customer collaborator: Comfortable working directly with clients and cross-functional teams, aligning stakeholders, and translating technical concepts into clear business value
- Entrepreneurial problem-solver: You identify opportunities and risks early, troubleshoot obstacles, and drive creative solutions
- Continuous learner: You stay current with industry trends, explore new tools/technologies, and thrive in environments that push you to grow
- Clear communicator: Able to explain complex technical ideas persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences
