Sobre a vaga e missão do cargo 

Você fará parte da liderança técnica da Torre de Cobrança e atuará como principal referência de arquitetura e engenharia da tribo de desenvolvimento full-stack (com foco em backend), sendo responsável por definir padrões técnicos, garantir a integridade arquitetural dos sistemas e elevar continuamente a maturidade técnica do time que sustenta os sistemas críticos de recuperação de crédito do banco.

No seu dia a dia, você vai: 

• Definir e documentar a arquitetura de sistemas backend, APIs e microserviços da tribo
• Estabelecer padrões técnicos, guias de desenvolvimento e boas práticas de engenharia de software
• Realizar code reviews estratégicos garantindo aderência arquitetural e qualidade de código
• Atuar diretamente no desenvolvimento de componentes críticos e de alta complexidade
• Conduzir discussões e decisões de arquitetura, design de dados e estratégias de integração
• Avaliar, propor e validar adoção de novas tecnologias e abordagens para evolução do stack
• Mentorar tecnicamente desenvolvedores da tribo em backend, arquitetura distribuída e boas práticas
• Garantir performance, escalabilidade, resiliência e observabilidade dos sistemas em produção
• Apoiar integrações com sistemas legados bancários e APIs de terceiros, definindo padrões e contratos
• Representar a tribo em fóruns e comitês de arquitetura corporativa
• Traduzir requisitos de negócio em decisões técnicas consistentes e sustentáveis

O que buscamos

Obrigatórios:

• Ensino Superior Completo; 
• Disponibilidade para trabalhar presencial em Belo Horizonte ou Recife; 
• Sólida experiência em desenvolvimento backend (Java/Spring, Node.js, Python ou similar), com atuação em sistemas produtivos de alta criticidade
• Experiência comprovada como Tech Lead ou Arquiteto de Software com influência técnica sobre times de desenvolvimento
• Conhecimento avançado em arquitetura de microserviços, APIs RESTful e sistemas distribuídos
• Domínio em design e modelagem de bancos de dados relacionais e NoSQL em ambientes de produção
• Experiência em containerização (Docker/Kubernetes) e práticas DevOps/CI-CD
• Vivência com ferramentas de observabilidade, APM e monitoramento de sistemas (New Relic, Datadog, ELK ou similares)
• Capacidade de documentar e comunicar decisões arquiteturais para diferentes públicos (técnicos e não técnicos)
• Experiência com metodologias ágeis e colaboração próxima com times de produto e negócio

Desejáveis:

• Inglês técnico/intermediário para leitura de documentação, avaliação de tecnologias e interação com fornecedores
• Experiência no setor bancário, financeiro ou fintechs, especialmente em sistemas de cobrança ou meios de pagamento
• Conhecimento em Domain Driven Design (DDD) e padrões arquiteturais (CQRS, Event Sourcing, Saga, Strangler Fig)
• Vivência com message queues e arquiteturas orientadas a eventos (Kafka, RabbitMQ ou similares)
• Experiência com sistemas de alto volume transacional e requisitos de alta disponibilidade
• Conhecimento em práticas de segurança, compliance e ambientes regulados no setor financeiro
• Familiaridade com React e capacidade de orientar tecnicamente times frontend
• Experiência com integração de sistemas legados bancários e padrões de interoperabilidade
• Certificações em cloud (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) ou arquitetura de software
• Conhecimento em ferramentas de documentação de arquitetura (C4 Model, OpenAPI/Swagger, ADRs)

About the role
We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead the technical evolution of our Credit Card platform. This is not a traditional maintenance role. You will be the architect of a profound transformation: leveraging Generative AI to automate complex operational tasks and orchestrating the global migration from our current systems to a unified, future-proof architecture. You will be a key partner to the Engineering Leadership and a reference for the entire engineering community.

Mission
Your goal is to design and operationalize a technical strategy that uses AI to increase operational efficiency while accelerating our global migration, ensuring:

• Intelligent Maintenance: Implementing AI agents to analyze tickets and crashes, automating resolutions for the global credit card environment.
• Seamless Migration: Leading the coexistence strategy between legacy and new platforms across Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia, ensuring data integrity and a flawless customer experience.
• Technical Excellence: Solving deep architectural bottlenecks in high-scale distributed systems and raising the bar for software design globally.

Core Responsibilities

• Migration Strategy: Define the long-term roadmap for decommissioning legacy systems, starting with the 1-year migration plan for the Colombian market.
• AI-Driven Engineering: Architect and integrate AI solutions (cloud-based agents) to automate infrastructure maintenance and data migration.
• Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with General Managers, PMs, and Staff+ ICs to align technical decisions with business needs across different countries.

You will join the Investments Platforms team, where we build the core engines for custody, offers, and orders. Your mission is to "dehydrate" legacy systems by designing extensible, agnostic solutions that handle everything from fixed income to equities. Responsibilities

• Architect Scalable Platforms: Design and evolve core investment platforms (Custody, Orders, Offers) to be asset-agnostic and globally extensible.
• Drive Legacy Migration: Lead the construction of complex and innovative platforms to manage an Investments business in a scale unseen in the market.
• Technical Stewardship: Own the end-to-end technical lifecycle of high-impact projects, ensuring alignment with Nubank’s long-term business goals.

Required Qualifications
