Scopely is seeking a Senior QA Manager to join our Barcelona studio, as part of Central Studio Operations’ QA & Deployment team, to own and develop an impactful, multifaceted QA and Deployment Program across Scopely’s diverse portfolio of selected titles.

In this role, you will define and implement standardized QA frameworks, oversee cross-functional quality initiatives, and ensure testing practices and QA skills align with Scopely’s business objectives. You will champion continuous improvement in quality assurance, collaborate with external trusted QA partners, and provide guidance and mentorship to internal and external QA team members.

What you will do

• Lead and execute strategic QA initiatives, ensuring scope, timelines, and quality objectives are consistently achieved.
• Ensure the consistent implementation of testing KPIs and reporting standards across all projects, and drive improvements around the quality metrics tracked 
• Actively contribute to iterating on the design of the QA OS
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to build action plans aimed at improving the execution of the entire QA pipeline.
• Be the main Central QA POC and help drive the release quality of some of Scopely’s wide array of titles.
• Champion transformation and collaboration across multiple teams, cultures, and global locations.
• Build action plans in collaboration with internal and external partners, to level up the execution of end to end QA pipelines 
• Drive the plans, and continuously assess risks and define necessary mitigation plans leading to expected outcomes.
• Ensure the consistent implementation of testing strategies, KPIs, and reporting standards across all projects.
• Advance the adoption of automation, AI-driven testing, and lead QA process and workflow transition through AI adoption, and support QA peers through their new AI responsibilities. 
• Actively contribute to iterating on the design of the QA Operating System and processes 
• Work with trusted External QA Partners to improve the quality and variety of the services performed, and iterate to grow impactful and relevant external QA teams that work with the game teams.

• Degree level education or equivalent experience.

About the opportunity

You will be part of the Intelligent Operations Platforms (IOP) or the Assistance segments, which cross-functional teams power the operations at N26 and in some cases enable other tech teams through a robust platform approach.

We are seeking a talented Lead Engineer to join our expanding teams and evolve our product, powered by a microservice architecture predominantly written in Java and Kotlin, using Spring Boot.

In this role, you will:

• Directly impact your team’s tech scope: work hand in hand with PM and EM to manage product technical roadmaps and dependencies to minimise technical debt.
• Architect & Build: Design, develop, and maintain high-availability, high-performance web applications that serve as the backbone of our internal operations.

What you need to be successful:

Engineering Mindset & Design

• Design Patterns: A firm grasp of object-oriented programming, distributed systems principles and methodologies like DDD using architecture design patterns like Hexagonal, Event-Driven and Microservices.
• Quality First: A strong track record of using engineering best practices, including Clean Code, TDD/BDD, and deep observability.
• AI-Augmented Development: Proven experience in critically using AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Gemini Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate delivery without compromising code integrity or security.

Technical Stack

• Modern backend: 5+ years of experience in building complex distributed systems in Java or/and Kotlin and Springboot/Spring AI.
• API Design: Solid experience designing and implementing robust REST APIs.
• Data & DevOps: Professional experience with PostgreSQL (performance and scalability) and "DevOps mindset" regarding CI/CD pipelines. Experience with AWS and/or Kubernetes is a plus.
• Bonus Points: Knowledge of Python or Generative AI frameworks (Langchain, RAG pipelines) is a significant plus.
