You are a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer with experience building large-scale software applications. You have deep interest in backend technologies. You are also familiar with frontend and mobile technologies and challenges. You are excited about the care, feeding and growth of a scalable cloud-based systems and the engineering organizations that build them. You can instill new ideas into our engineering architecture and organization to help lead us into the next phase of scale and growth of our Records Management system.

- Lead engineering architecture design reviews
- Set a high technical bar for the team through code and architecture design reviews
- Mentoring engineers
- Working across teams with Product, Design, and Engineering to solve some of our biggest technical challenges within our stack for our customers
- Improve our Engineering process, including long-term thinking, sprint planning and stand-ups
- Building services that adhere to our high bar on availability and latency in this mission-critical space
- Working with the latest open source technologies
What You Bring
- 8+ years of experience in full stack software engineering
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent
- Experience building complex and impactful software in a team environment
- Experience designing and delivering high-availability, scalable cloud-based systems
- You write beautiful, simple, maintainable code for backend microservices
- Deep skill in driving technical solutions across multiple teams
- Backend service experience in managed languages such as Go, Java, Scala
- Frontend experience in Javascript + Typescript, React,
- Strong experience with database, especially SQL
- Interest in helping to set the technical and organizational direction for a growing engineering team across multiple global locations

This position is responsible for product management & technical marketing activities within the Product Management group. Every day is different, working with different customers and different products. This role is for someone who enjoys and is intellectually curious about the whole process and being part of it. You get to work external global customers that have many different needs and you will be part of the solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Life Cycle – Drive the product life cycle from concept to high volume manufacturing to obsolescence
- Roadmaps – Maintain product roadmap for a portfolio of products, periodically update roadmap through discussions with customers and internal experts, align product priorities and resources to roadmap
- Customer Engagement – Support Technical Meeting with customers, create and manage customer presentations, detailed market and competitive analysis
- MRS – Own the market requirement spec documents and ensure product development priorities align with MRS and customer needs
- Strategic Marketing – Prepare market strategies for executive R&D expenditure requests, develop roadmap and product strategy presentations for executives within ASM
- Financial – Work with finance department on NPV and IRR for products, maintain cost of ownership models
- Business Planning and Market Analysis – Attend company operation/planning meeting, create Business plan/Operation review materials, create business forecast based on market information, support budget planning, competitive analysis
- Drive teams internally to meet set products profit gross margins
- New Product Introductions – Detailed market analysis for inflections, development of business plans, internal executive alignment, positioning of products
- Support technical activities – Work with product development teams on specifications and data collection requirements, manage customer demo requests, prioritization of product development activities
- Supplier Engagement – Develop key capabilities for new products through collaboration with suppliers
- Product Promotion – Create promotional materials for conferences and launches, Sales and product support training, Introductions to Customer
Requirements:
- 10+ years of semiconductor / capital equipment industry experience, of which a significant portion has been in technical marketing and / or product management roles
- Masters or PhD in Material Science, Electrical/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Process, hardware, or device experience in semiconductors or capital equipment
- ALD or CVD experience is a plus
- High level of proficiency or deep understanding of capital equipment systems in semiconductor or similar industry
- Direct customer engagement or supplier management
- Ability to work with multiple internal disciplines on portfolio of products
- Understanding of product life cycle and technical marketing
- Ability to travel globally

Simulation and Modeling Hub
Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Plasma & Multi-Scale Simulation Scientist to strengthen and expand plasma modeling capabilities within the Simulation and Modeling Hub (S&M-Hub). This role focuses on bridging plasma physics, surface chemistry, and feature-scale behavior to enable predictive, physics-based simulation workflows supporting advanced semiconductor process development (PEALD, PECVD, ALE, RIE).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and apply plasma simulation models (fluid and hybrid CCP/ICP)
- Bridge multiple scales including plasma–surface interactions, molecular/first-principles insights, and feature-scale behavior
- Integrate plasma modeling with CFD, thermal, and multi-physics simulations
- Collaborate with experimental teams to validate models using in-situ and ex-situ diagnostics
- Translate modeling insights into actionable process and equipment guidance
- Contribute to S&M-Hub roadmap development, best practices, and advanced modeling workflows
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Applied Physics, Plasma Physics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Strong background in plasma-assisted semiconductor processes (PEALD, PECVD, ALE, RIE)
- Demonstrated experience in computational plasma modeling
- Ability to connect fundamental modeling with experimental validation and manufacturing relevance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with first-principles, molecular dynamics, or surface reaction modeling
- Exposure to feature-scale or device-relevant plasma simulations
- Familiarity with multi-physics coupling and reduced-order (ROM) or hybrid modeling approaches
- Experience in industrial R&D or advanced technology development environments

As a Principal Process Engineer at ASM, you will work with semiconductor processing and analytical equipment to research, develop and optimize processes focused on oxidation, annealing, curing, Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD, PEALD), Epitaxy or PECVD for logic, memory, analog, power, and MEMS applications. You will utilize your extensive technical domain expertise to deliver innovative solutions to our product teams. You will design and conduct complex experiments, measurements and perform the interpretation of complex experimental output. While you deliver creative and inventive solutions, technical publications, and generation of Intellectual Property (IP) are an essential function of this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Creative problem solver with experience in developing new films for emerging applications and experience in chemistry/materials characterization.
- Works with semiconductor processing equipment to research, develop and optimize unit processes focused on the deposition of metal and dielectric films via ALD, PEALD, Epitaxy, and/or PECVD.
- Bringing innovative ideas, staying abreast of state-of-the-art processing applications in the semiconductor industry to be effective.
- Process consulting and accountability including technical papers on advanced process applications and Intellectual Property creation.
- Provides mentorship to other Process Engineers within the team.
- Participates in and drives technical problem-solving sessions using the related scientific method and industry tools, such as Ishikawa diagrams.
- Designs and conducts experiments, in addition to measuring and interpreting experimental output, aimed at fulfilling stated objectives using Design of Experiments (DOE) and Response Surface Methodology (RSM).
- Troubleshoots equipment problems and is personally and actively engaged in problem via “hands-on” modalities.
- Works with customers and central marketing to understand and define requirements to successfully execute and document customer demonstrations.
- Develops methods and techniques for integrating metal and/or oxide films into existing and future device technologies.
- Ensures successful product transfer to customer base by performing demonstrations, training field service personnel, traveling to support remote sites (up to 10% travel required), and drafting documentation regarding process development, tool operation and maintenance.
- Produces technical papers on process, equipment, and device integration improvement strategies and presents to professional audience.
- You may be assigned supervisory duties over supporting process engineering technicians and aides. These supervisory duties could include direct input into employees’ performance evaluations, discipline, and discharge.
Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics
- 7+ years of combined education, research, and work experience with:
- Cure, oxidation, ALD, CVD, Epitaxy, PECVD and/or other thin film deposition.
- Materials characterization techniques such as XPS, SIMS, RBS, AFM, XRR, XRD, TEM, SEM and ellipsometry.
- Knowledge of electrical characterization techniques for CMOS devices.
- Application of dielectric and/or metal films for logic and memory structures.
- Training in CFD (computational fluid dynamics), either theoretical or practical is preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical characterization techniques for CMOS devices is preferred.
Skills
- Ability to independently manage complex process development projects, including personnel, project schedules, experimental thrusts, hardware procurement and budgetary oversight.
- Ability to be a process consultant to internal and external customers.
- An authority on interplay between hardware design (e.g., chemical reactor design) and operation and process outputs
- Understanding of requirements for integration of metals as work function materials and barrier layers in FEOL and BEOL process flows
- Demonstrated ability to develop and completely characterize deposition processes using first principles and experimental design techniques (e.g., DOE, RSM).
- Experience with the theory, practice, and interpretation of materials characterization techniques such as XPS, SIMS, RBS, AFM, XRD, HRTEM, FESEM, Auger, Raman and ellipsometry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to clearly communicate advanced technical constructs in direct and concise manner.

As a Principal Engineer, Surface Technology (Surface Modification) reporting to Surface Technology Group, you will work with other ASM global technology team members including materials scientists, equipment engineers, process, quality and field service engineers as well as external customers to solve time critical or strategic technology challenges and develop unique advanced solutions in collaborative partnerships.
The position requires the individual to:
- Drive improvements in Thermal & Plasma Enhanced ALD system component longevity, emissivity, stability, refurbishment / service strategy and process performance to enable reliable and efficient deposition of a range of next generation advanced thin film materials exhibiting various electrical & physical properties.
- Work independently to develop new approaches to modify surfaces of internal ALD chamber components to improve performance, lifetime, defectivity and CoO for customers processing various materials for use as functional/active layers in semiconductor device stacks.
- Connect process conditions, physical characterization, and electrical response towards understanding of mechanisms.
- Specify, procure and develop state-of-the-art advanced process equipment.
- Formulate new surface texturing and dry coating strip methods.
- Leverage advanced knowledge of media blast, multi-axis automated control systems, e-beam and pulsed laser process technologies.
- Direct / manage projects & relationships with critical 3rd party suppliers & supporting institutions.
- Have a passion for surface engineering processes, be inquisitive to drive projects & root-cause failure investigations whilst being systematic & entrepreneurial in mind-set.
- Demonstrate experience within a high-volume semiconductor clean room environment.
- Be based within the ASM Phoenix AZ campus but open to travel (<10%) to customer and supplier global sites when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree studying Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering or similar technical / scientific field.
- Minimum 1-5 years of industrial experience preferably using automated blast or industrial laser or e-beam systems.
- Expertise in high volume semiconductor cleaning environments highly advantageous.
- Solid understanding of Design-of-Experiments execution and statistical data analysis.
- Familiarity with common surface characterization & metrology techniques including: Optical microscopy, SEM, TEM, XPS / AES, profilometry, CMM as well as ICP-MS, particle analysis etc.
- Ability to engage with customers both on a highly technical basis and personally.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented with high commitment to work quality in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to solve complex analytical problems and provide robust solutions based on solid technical background.

- Design and conduct complex experiments using DOE and RSM methodologies; interpret and analyze experimental data.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues through hands-on engagement and ensure successful product transfer to customers.
- Provide expert technical support for complex electro/mechanical equipment and computer systems.
- Respond to and resolve issues escalated by first-line product support teams.
- Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems to engineering teams for resolution.
- Assist in customer installations and provide technical training as needed.
- Deliver support for highly technical or sophisticated products to customers and users.
- Travel globally up to 50% of the time to support field operations.
What we are looking for
- Master’s or PhD in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
- 10+ years of combined education, research, and work experience in thin-film deposition and advanced packaging processes.
- At least 5 years of experience in semiconductor process engineering or semiconductor equipment technology.
- 2-5 years of experience in customer support, product management, or product marketing roles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hardware to process dependencies and comfort with fingerprinting chamber / tool critical components
- Proven experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex technical issues
- Strong understanding of electro/mechanical equipment and software systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong presentation experience and skills
- Willingness and ability to travel globally up to 50% of the time; local and international

In this role you will lead a team to have “end to end” quality assurance of analysing in house Operations and Customers data to set preventive measures on NC.
We are looking for you; self-motivated by nature with a strong ability to define out of the box solutions. Moreover, to perform in-depth analysis and effective proliferation of resolution.
Internal
- Manage Quality Non Conformances – Define caused-by in Intake & filtering
- Manage proper follow-up with Cooperate Quality Team on customer expectations
- Manage timely and good quality closure of NC including preventive actions.
- Setup and maintain Customer Quality Dashboard
- Align with Customers on critical indexes
- Assist local management by proposing process improvements and participate in deployment of new and improved processes
- Assist cooperate functions by initiating, driving and tracking of improvements on the execution of critical processes
- Assist in driving resolution of structural quality issues within corporate programs, e.g. QMS restructuring
- Manage well-structured inspection plans and collaborate with cross functions to improve tests and assembly processes
- Lead and drive quality assurance metrics to targets; including managing contract manufacturers.
- Hands-On guiding the team through 8D methodology to close non-conformances
Requirements
- Demonstrated proven track record to drive problem solving methodology
- Preferably >10 years of experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Demonstrated ability to influence across organization and drive changes
- Familiar with the following operational excellence tools but not limited to; Lean manufacturing, FMEA, 8D, PDCA, Problem solving, six sigma etc
Professional Experience
- Experience in Capital Equipment building preferably in the Semiconductor industry
- Trained in minimum Green Belt Problem Solving methodology
