The Marketplace Strategy & Operations team at DoorDash is responsible for accelerating Marketplace growth, consumer engagement and retention. Using a customer-obsessed approach, we own market strategy, consumer affordability, the end-to-end DoorDash app experience and new value propositions. We are looking for a hands-on builder to optimise how consumers interact with merchants and develop strategies that drive frequency and loyalty.
We are hiring an Associate Manager to lead the NZ marketplace strategy and to drive consumer growth in a way that keeps customers coming back. Your work will shape how consumers discover and engage with DoorDash—across merchandising, in-app experience, pricing and partnerships. As this role sits at the intersection of strategy, analytics and cross-functional execution - you will closely partner with Product, Engineering, Sales and Marketing across the Restaurant and New Verticals business lines.
A core part of the role is leveraging metrics to guide decision-making. You will analyse performance across key levers such as conversion, retention, frequency, and category adoption, translating insights into clear priorities and action plans. You will also contribute to go-to-market and expansion strategies, using data to determine which areas to prioritise and how to scale them effectively.
You will own and optimise critical aspects of the in-app experience—from how consumers discover merchants and offerings, to how merchandising is executed across the platform. This includes ensuring that the right selection is surfaced to the right customers at the right time, and that the overall journey is seamless, intuitive, and aligned with our growth objectives.
This is a highly visible team with fast feedback loops, where ideas quickly turn into live experiences and impact can be seen in real time across consumer engagement, order growth and dollars earned for merchants.
You will report into the Manager on our Consumer Strategy & Operations team. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days in-office (Auckland) and 2 days remote.
At DoorDash, our mission to empower local economies shapes how our team members move quickly, learn, and reiterate in order to make impactful decisions that display empathy for our range of users—from Dashers to merchant partners to consumers. We are a technology and logistics company that started by enabling door-to-door delivery, and we are looking for team members who can help us go from a company that is known as the place you order food to a company that people turn to for any and all goods.
DoorDash is growing rapidly and changing constantly, which gives our team members the opportunity to share their unique perspectives, solve new challenges, and own their careers. We're committed to supporting employees’ happiness, healthiness, and overall well-being by providing comprehensive benefits and perks.
We’re committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our company, industry, and cities. That’s why we hire and cultivate diverse teams of people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We believe that true innovation happens when everyone has room at the table and the tools, resources, and opportunity to excel.
If you need any accommodations, please inform your recruiting contact upon initial connection.

Who we are:
We're Dexibit. We love dinosaurs and data. Our Kiwi AI product helps visitor attractions (museums to zoos to theme parks) make sense of their data and make better decisions. We work with big international names alongside local favourites like MOTAT and Weta. We’ve been widely recognised in industry and picked up a few awards along the way from HiTech, NZIBA, TIN and more.
Dexibit recently joined accesso, a global technology company serving over 1,000 venues across 30+ countries. That means our platform, our reach, and the complexity of the problems we get to solve just got a lot bigger.
What we build :
Dexibit brings together our deep domain knowledge, AI-ready data platform, served through an agentic interface. We create value for our customers by addressing non-trivial tasks like strategic modelling, scheduling, operational reporting and analysing visitor feedback.
Under the hood, the AI layer orchestrates real business logic and APIs: integration packs, custom datasets and benchmarks, context control features, and our query and visualisation infrastructure.
The agentic interface is where we're investing new feature development. Think streaming, context window management, tool orchestration, sandboxed execution. There's real depth here, and real problems to solve.
Where you fit :
We're looking for a product-minded software engineer who can shape what we build and how we build it. You'll be in the code every day. But we value engineers who lead naturally: through design decisions, technical direction, mentorship, and bringing the team along.
You're full-stack, but you lean heavily to one side, whether that's backend data systems or frontend product engineering. With the depth of our problems (and the leverage that frontier LLMs now give us), we believe strong engineers need real depth on one side while being capable and willing to contribute across the stack.
What you bring :
You break complex problems into simple, elegant solutions. You're a great communicator with strong customer empathy. You're quick to understand the why behind the work.
You're a proven engineer (5+ years) with experience across different systems and domains. You've shipped impactful work and can talk honestly about the failures as well as the wins.
You bring curiosity and humility. You mentor naturally. You're not afraid to give constructive feedback, and you genuinely enjoy learning from others' perspectives.

We're accesso Intelligence (powered by Dexibit). 🦖 🎢 🐅 🗼 🖼️ 🎡 🏟️
accesso Intelligence is the intelligence layer for the business of fun — serving iconic visitor attractions around the world. Not just data, but AI that understands how attractions actually work, helping teams make insightful decisions then act on them: getting more visitors through the door, spending, engaging, leaving happily and returning loyally, with efficiency.
With 25 years of deep industry experience behind us and Dexibit's AI pedigree inside us, you get the best of both worlds: startup culture close to the ground up, with the scale of a listed company behind you.
accesso Intelligence sits on top of the world's richest cross-vendor dataset for visitor attractions — integrating with 100+ industry source systems across ticketing, F&B, retail, queuing, CRM, operations and more. That data foundation is what makes everything else possible: the conversational insight, the forecasting, the benchmarking, the AI.
We're looking for a Data Implementation Engineer to own the technical delivery of accesso Intelligence integrations, then executing that pattern reliably and at volume across our customer base. You’ll be building upon, and maintaining, our class-leading data platform.
What makes this role distinct is the combination of technical execution with genuine understanding of how attractions actually operate commercially. A revenue share arrangement between a venue and an operating partner, a multi-operator ticketing setup, a seasonal membership model with complex redemption logic — these aren't edge cases, they're the norm. Getting the data right means understanding the business behind it.
Location: Auckland based, hybrid (~3 days in our Parnell office / optionally ~2 at home)
Reports to: VP, accesso Intelligence
Travel ✈️ Requirement: None
There's no single path to this role, especially in the age of AI. You might be:
A data or software engineer who's done integration or implementation work and wants a role where you can see the direct impact of your work on real customer outcomes
Someone from a SaaS implementation or solutions engineering background who has strong data fundamentals and wants to go deeper technically
A data analyst or BI engineer who's crossed over into pipeline and integration work and thrives at the intersection of technical delivery and customer context
Someone from the attractions, hospitality or cultural sector who's worked closely with data systems and wants to turn operational knowledge into implementation expertise

Most frontend roles are about building features.
This one is about building the platform those features run on.
We’re undertaking a significant frontend evolution — modernising legacy systems, migrating to a modern React and Typescript ecosystem, expanding our shared design system, and building a centralised frontend portal that multiple engineering teams will plug into.
If you enjoy solving structural problems, setting engineering standards, and building systems that make other developers faster, this role gives you the space to do exactly that.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll design and deliver high-quality software while helping raise the quality, clarity, and velocity of the engineers around you.
You’ll work closely with Product, Design, QA, and other engineering teams to build scalable, user-focused software and contribute to the evolution of our frontend platform.
You’ll work on challenges that require both technical depth and product thinking, building software that directly impacts how millions of users interact with our platform.
Drive the migration of legacy frontends into the modern React ecosystem, improving maintainability, performance, and developer experience.
Expand and evolve a shared component library and design system used by multiple product teams across the organisation.
Help build a centralised frontend portal from the ground up and establish integration patterns that allow domain teams to plug in seamlessly.
Design and deliver robust, scalable applications that ship regularly to production and deliver measurable business value.
Review code, mentor engineers, and contribute to the engineering practices that shape how we build software.
Senior engineers care about how software gets built, not just what gets built.
Here’s a snapshot of the environment you’ll be working in.
We believe great software comes from thoughtful engineers working together, not rigid processes. Engineers here are trusted to contribute ideas, improve systems, and help shape how we build.
You’re an experienced engineer who enjoys building systems that last, improving how teams work, and creating software that people genuinely enjoy using.
In this role you will:
You’ll be trusted to self-manage your work, communicate clearly, and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams.
You’ll join a team where engineers have real influence over architecture and technical direction.
This role sits at the centre of a significant frontend modernisation effort — untangling legacy systems, defining platform standards, and enabling teams across the organisation to build faster.
If you enjoy solving meaningful engineering problems and leaving systems better than you found them, this is the role for you!
