We're looking for experienced individuals with deep retail market knowledge to allow us to best serve our consumers, Dashers, and merchants. About the Role
DoorDash is looking for an Enterprise Partnerships Lead to join the New Verticals Business Development team, to sign net new retailers in New Zealand. You will be responsible for selling DoorDash’s full suite of products to retailers across our New Verticals categories, including general merchandise, as well as emerging verticals such as pets, fashion, beauty, hardware, consumer electronics, and more.
You will report to the Director of New Verticals Business Development, ANZ. This role is hybrid with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote / meeting and pitching to prospective partners.

- Leverage your experience and network previously dealing with New Zealand’s largest retailers
- Develop the tactical strategy for engaging each retailer in the sales pipeline, including the largest retailers in the country
- Successfully negotiate and close retail partnerships across our suite of products, including Marketplace and White-Label Deliveries
- Model, present and defend P&L implications for various deal structures for prospective partners
- Manage the deal process with senior internal and external stakeholders to get alignment and approval on your proposed partnerships
We’re excited about you because you…
- Have 10+ years of Enterprise business development and sales experience
- Are experienced in negotiating partnerships with C-Suite executives at large and complex organisations, including an ability to lead analysis-driven negotiation processes
- Are analytically minded, have strong excel (or Google Sheet) modeling skills and always use data to ground your decisions and make your case
- Love working directly with clients; you create and maintain impactful long-term relationships with senior executives in major organisations
- Know how to take very ambiguous and evolving challenges or opportunities and turn them into actionable projects with clear goals

About the Team
The Marketplace Strategy & Operations team at DoorDash is responsible for accelerating Marketplace growth, consumer engagement and retention. Using a customer-obsessed approach, we own market strategy, consumer affordability, the end-to-end DoorDash app experience and new value propositions. We are looking for a hands-on builder to optimise how consumers interact with merchants and develop strategies that drive frequency and loyalty.
About the Role
We are hiring an Associate Manager to lead the NZ marketplace strategy and to drive consumer growth in a way that keeps customers coming back. Your work will shape how consumers discover and engage with DoorDash—across merchandising, in-app experience, pricing and partnerships. As this role sits at the intersection of strategy, analytics and cross-functional execution - you will closely partner with Product, Engineering, Sales and Marketing across the Restaurant and New Verticals business lines.
A core part of the role is leveraging metrics to guide decision-making. You will analyse performance across key levers such as conversion, retention, frequency, and category adoption, translating insights into clear priorities and action plans. You will also contribute to go-to-market and expansion strategies, using data to determine which areas to prioritise and how to scale them effectively.
You will own and optimise critical aspects of the in-app experience—from how consumers discover merchants and offerings, to how merchandising is executed across the platform. This includes ensuring that the right selection is surfaced to the right customers at the right time, and that the overall journey is seamless, intuitive, and aligned with our growth objectives.
This is a highly visible team with fast feedback loops, where ideas quickly turn into live experiences and impact can be seen in real time across consumer engagement, order growth and dollars earned for merchants.
You will report into the Manager on our Consumer Strategy & Operations team. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days in-office (Auckland) and 2 days remote.

- Strategise - create and execute the go-to-market strategy for our consumers and merchants, considering in-app engagement, retention and order rates
- Build and execute - test and incorporate new product features in collaboration with international product and engineering teams and continually measure performance
- Collaborate daily with a broad team - you will lead New Zealand’s in-app experience, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Ads & Promotions teams to ensure Restaurant and New Verticals merchants meet their conversion and impression targets
- Analyse and lead - use quantitative and qualitative data to inform strategy, prioritize initiatives, define and track KPIs and communicate insights to senior stakeholders.
- Experiment - use a data-driven and customer-first approach to identify improvement opportunities and make our business 1% better everyday.

- 5+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, product, technology, banking, analytics or related experience
- A bias for action - you are a relentless and independent problem solver, are a “do-er” and can influence and challenge effectively, to execute creative solutions.
- Proven analytics skills - Intermediate SQL knowledge and competency with dashboards is required.
- Strong business acumen - you are able to identify the “so what” from data, interdependencies between performance metrics and translate them into operational strategy.
- Thought leadership - you will be able to apply a framework to break down ambiguous problems and conduct methodical deep-dives into drivers of the issue.
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership and ability to manage multiple workstreams at once

As an Account Executive, you’ll work directly with restaurants and hospitality groups to understand their business needs and recommend the best-fit SevenRooms solutions—from reservations and table management to online ordering and marketing automation. You’ll drive new business by adding operators to the platform and working closely with our onboarding and account teams to ensure a smooth and enthusiastic transition. This role plays a key part in helping hospitality operators thrive, combining strategic thinking, relationship-building, and product knowledge to deliver real impact.

- Build and Manage a Sales Pipeline. Identify and engage prospective restaurants and hospitality groups to grow your book of business.

- Lead Sales from Start to Finish. Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and pitching to negotiation, contracting, and go-live support.
- Deliver Live Product Demos. Conduct live, engaging product walkthroughs both virtually and in person when needed.
- Be a Trusted Partner. Build strong relationships with prospects and clients, always advocating for their success and acting as a true advisor throughout the process.

- You have 3+ years of experience in hospitality technology sales
- You’re confident presenting to clients both in person and virtually
- You’re self-driven and comfortable working independently, whether in the office or remotely
- You’re tech-savvy and quick to pick up new tools and platforms
- You’re results-oriented and bring energy and focus to your daily work
- You’ve worked with tools like Salesforce, Outreach, or similar systems
- You have a background in hospitality or restaurants (a big plus!)
- You’re open to occasional travel into key markets to connect with clients face-to-face
