About the Role:
We are seeking a technically strong, hands-on Senior Database Reliability Engineer to help design, build, and scale the database platform used across Sezzle’s applications.
This is not a traditional DBA role. This role is for an engineer who can combine deep database knowledge with software engineering, infrastructure engineering, and platform thinking. You will help build the systems, libraries, automation, standards, and guardrails that make database usage across Sezzle reliable, secure, scalable, and easy for developers to adopt correctly.
As a Senior Database Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for improving how Sezzle applications connect to, migrate, operate, observe, and scale their databases. You will work across application teams, infrastructure, security, and engineering leadership to define patterns that improve database reliability by design — not just by operational response.
You should be comfortable owning problems end-to-end: understanding application behavior, reading code, reviewing database access patterns, building shared tooling, improving connection management, designing migration safety checks, analyzing production performance, and helping developers use databases in safer and more scalable ways.
You should consider yourself a DOer to be a good fit for this role. We are looking for someone who can ship production-quality engineering work, not just advise from the sidelines. Compensation:
For this senior development role, with 6+ years of experience, the compensation range is $5,000 - $9,500 USD per month. This range acknowledges the extensive expertise, leadership capabilities, and significant contributions expected at this level, offering a competitive salary to reflect the value of advanced skills and experience.
What You'll Do:
- Design, build, and maintain shared database platform components used by Sezzle applications, such as database connection packages, database client libraries, migration tooling, safety checks, query standards, and developer-facing abstractions.
- Establish reliable, scalable patterns for how Sezzle services connect to and interact with relational databases across production, staging, and development environments.
- Partner with backend engineering teams to improve database usage in application code, including connection lifecycle, transaction handling, retries, timeouts, pooling, query patterns, and migration workflows.
- Build automation and internal tooling that makes database operations safer, more repeatable, and less dependent on manual intervention.
- Define and enforce engineering standards for database access, schema design, migrations, indexing, query performance, connection management, and operational readiness.
- Architect and improve database infrastructure across AWS RDS/Aurora MySQL, PostgreSQL, RDS Proxy, read replicas, backups, failover, parameter groups, monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Lead database reliability initiatives that reduce operational risk, improve performance, and help Sezzle scale safely.
- Review application designs and database changes early in the development lifecycle to ensure reliability, scalability, maintainability, and security are built in from the start.
- Build guardrails for database migrations, including automated checks, rollback expectations, schema review workflows, migration observability, and production safety controls.
- Improve developer self-service for database provisioning, access, schema management, local development, testing, and observability.
- Investigate production database issues by combining application telemetry, database metrics, logs, query plans, traces, and cloud infrastructure data.
- Identify and fix systemic database problems, not just symptoms — including bad access patterns, unsafe migrations, inefficient queries, connection storms, lock contention, replication lag, and capacity bottlenecks.
- Create and maintain high-signal dashboards, alerts, SLOs, SLIs, runbooks, and operational readiness checks for database-backed services.
- Drive improvements in database backup validation, restore testing, disaster recovery, failover readiness, and business continuity.
- Work with security and compliance teams to improve database access controls, auditability, encryption, secrets management, least privilege, and PCI/SOC 2 aligned controls.
- Mentor engineers on database design, query performance, safe migrations, operational readiness, and production debugging.
- Use automation and AI tooling where appropriate to improve migration review, query analysis, incident investigation, documentation, and developer productivity.
What We look for:
- 6+ years of professional software engineering, infrastructure engineering, database engineering, SRE, or platform engineering experience.
- Strong software engineering ability in at least one production programming language such as Go, Python, or TypeScript.
- Proven ability to build production-quality internal tools, libraries, frameworks, services, or platform components used by other engineers.
- Deep hands-on experience with relational databases, especially MySQL and/or PostgreSQL, in high-availability production environments.
- Strong understanding of how application code interacts with databases, including connection pooling, transactions, isolation levels, retries, timeouts, deadlocks, locking, migrations, and query execution.
- Experience designing or improving shared database access patterns, internal database packages, ORM wrappers, migration frameworks, or developer-facing database tooling.
- Hands-on experience with AWS RDS/Aurora, including provisioning, upgrades, replicas, backups, failover, monitoring, parameter tuning, and production troubleshooting.
- Experience with database connection management technologies such as RDS Proxy, PgBouncer, ProxySQL, or application-level pooling.
- Strong ability to analyze database performance using query plans, indexes, slow query logs, wait events, locks, metrics, and application traces.
- Experience designing safe database migration processes for production systems.
- Strong understanding of observability for database-backed applications, including metrics, logs, traces, SLOs, alerting, and incident response.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD systems such as Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes, Helm, or similar tooling.
- Ability to influence engineering teams through clear design reviews, documentation, technical standards, and practical implementation.
- Ability to operate independently, identify high-impact problems, propose pragmatic solutions, and drive them to completion.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience building platform capabilities for a microservices environment.
- Experience with Golang application development and database access patterns.
- Experience creating database libraries, SDKs, service templates, migration frameworks, or paved-road developer tooling.

- Experience with distributed systems patterns such as transactional outbox, event-driven architecture, idempotency, queues, eventual consistency, and data consistency tradeoffs.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, Performance Insights, OpenTelemetry, or New Relic.
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch or other supporting data stores.
- Familiarity with AI developer tooling such as Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, Cursor, and using it to be a more productive engineer.

As a Sr. Web Engineer on the Marketing Web team, you'll contribute to the full surface area: the marketing website, the internal tooling that powers it, and — critically — the AI-powered automations and integrations that connect Dialpad's marketing presence to the teams that maintain it. You will identify opportunities, prototype quickly, and ship to production. There is no handoff culture here.
This role sits at the intersection of marketing engineering, AI automation, and experience design. You'll work directly with designers, marketers, brand leads, and product teams to create a seamless, connected customer journey — from the first visit to a marketing page through to the Dialpad product itself. You'll be expected to bring your own ideas, take ownership, and build things that matter.
What You'll Do
- Identify and define automation opportunities across the marketing website, content workflows, QA pipelines, and the broader customer journey.
- Build prototypes quickly to validate ideas, then take them to production — you own the full arc from idea to shipped.
- Design and implement agentic workflows and internal AI tools that reduce manual overhead and unlock capabilities for the entire organization.
- Integrate AI tooling into real publishing, deployment, and personalization workflows — not demos, actual production systems.

- Design software applications and features in Golang and React
- Help build out a distributed architecture, creating solutions that work within it, maintaining consistency while scaling highly

What We Look For:
- At least 7 years of full-stack software engineering experience

Sezzle is growing; our data generation and consumption is growing with us at an increasing scale. Data is extremely valuable, and we want to empower the business, the engineers, and the rest of the organization to be able to read, write, and analyze large volumes of it quickly and efficiently.
Sezzle is a heavy consumer of MySQL, Postgres, and Redshift, leveraging AWS tooling with Aurora RDS and DMS. We use DBT-based transformations and similar toolkits to populate a rapidly growing data lake that supports multiple data warehouses. It’s scaled well with us so far, and we’re looking to continue improving it, but we also want to step into new tooling and technologies.
What you’ll do:
- End to end ownership of our database and data warehousing infrastructure, its KPIs and its SLAs, including MySQL, Postgres, CDC capture, and Redshift.
- Lead optimizations in database and query performance.
- Build and maintain tooling to help manage and upgrade our data infrastructure, continually improving with migrations and optimizations.
- Partner with Development to ensure we ship solid queries against a battle-tested schema to meet the needs of our products and business.

What You'll Do:

What We'll Look For:
- 1–3 years of professional experience in software engineering, AI engineering, platform engineering, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and shipping AI-powered systems into production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and frontend frameworks such as React.
- Proven experience designing and owning production-grade full-stack systems.

The Right Fit:
- 10+ years of Java development in an enterprise environment (personal project work not included)
- Proficient in server-side Java programming; Apache Tomcat experience a plus
- Strong SQL and relational database skills
- Experience building or maintaining systems at scale: thousands of servers, millions of customers
- Some experience with agentic AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar) — used regularly, not just dabbled with
- Cross-platform comfort (Linux/macOS/Windows) — no need to be an expert on all three, but not afraid of any
Bonus points for:

This is a senior technical client leadership role that blends deep hands-on ML expertise with strategic advisory and consulting skills. You will be the most experienced ML voice across a diverse and expanding book of customer engagements — from early-stage companies bringing ambitious ML ideas to market, to established enterprises modernizing how they build and operate AI systems on AWS.
You will shape strategy, influence architecture, and leave every team you touch better than you found it. You bring the scientific depth to design and evaluate models rigorously, the engineering depth to architect production ML systems at scale, and the consulting instincts to translate both into business value for customers.

What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end ML assessments across infrastructure, data pipelines, model lifecycle, and organizational readiness — producing recommendations that drive executive decision-making and earn Caylent the next engagement.
- Partner with sales and solutions teams through the proposal and scoping phase, contributing the technical depth needed to shape well-grounded statements of work.
- Serve as the senior technical authority on client engagements — possibly across multiple projects simultaneously — providing architectural guidance, ensuring technical quality from your project team members, and getting hands-on when the engagement demands it, without owning day-to-day implementation responsibilities.

- 10+ years in machine learning or AI, with a proven track record of leading client-facing engagements in a consulting or advisory capacity.

- Deep expertise in at least two or three ML domains — whether traditional ML, computer vision, NLP, time series, or others — combined with the judgment to assess, architect, and advise across the broader ML landscape.

About the Role:
This role combines foundational curiosity with growing technical expertise to resolve complex customer issues involving Backblaze products and 3rd party integrations. The Technical Support Engineer demonstrates initiative, analytical detail, and a commitment to professional communication while taking action on technical issues ranging from individuals and small businesses up to Enterprise customers.
What you'll do:
- Handle and resolve customer issues, driving issues to resolution, and acting as an ambassador of Backblaze and its products.
- Communicate directly with customers via video/phone call for information gathering and troubleshooting needs, utilizing call control and de-escalation skills.
- Manage escalations received from the account administration team and other groups.
- Provide Silent Install Troubleshooting for the Backblaze Backup Client and Silent Installer/Enterprise Deployment Support.
- Troubleshoot a variety of integrations.
- Act as a technical resource to the CSM and other sales teams.
- Conduct detailed investigation of reported "Bugs" to provide Quality Assurance (QA) a detailed report, including QA Data Collection (Error logs, Behavior patterns, OS specifics, Application version).
- Review support tickets for potential trends/issues, focusing on integrations, and providing trend reporting to Leadership/Management.
- Expand and contribute to documentation, including Log and error Confluence KB expansion, and communicating updates to the Technical Writing team for public-facing KB Articles.
- Provide Integration Training to the team via "Get Familiar With" meetings.
- Track issues using task management systems like JIRA.
- Monitor Backblaze infrastructure outages and alerts (Sev-1 through Sev-4).
- Utilize advanced technical knowledge of Backblaze Products (Backup/B2/S3) and network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, HTTPS, Telnet/MTR(ICMP)).
- Implement processes to escalate issues and work cross-functionally with other teams (Operations, SRE, TAMS, Engineering, NetEng).

About the Role:
What You’ll Do:
- Create historic records that clearly outline how our service is being utilized and pinpointing where possible issues could arise.
- Parse code visually to see what the customer’s code is doing and having the knowledge of the B2 and S3 compatible API’s to discern what is going on in the user code.
- Write scripts that involve the B2/S3 compatible API for testing.
- Test 3rd party integrations and doing deep drives to learn the ins and outs of all of the integrations, while documenting quick configuration, caveats and other useful information to help in training.
- Work closely with members of other teams, including Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations and Product Management.
- Mentor Technical Support Engineers and others, in various technical areas.
- Post Sales support for large customers; take part in Solution Engineer calls and slack/email conversations with large customers as they transition from pre- to post-sales
- Create, Implement and use monitoring tools to proactively address common support issues before widespread impact to the customer base, including creation of monitoring dashboards and alerting
- Interact at a cross-departmental level to bring resolution to customer’s unique needs
- Build rapport and trust with assigned customers in technical matters
- Perform deep-dive technical troubleshooting of customer issues using analytical tools and internal system logs
Other responsibilities may arise over time.
Working closely with the manager will be needed to solidify policies and procedures for this role.
The Right Fit:
- Comfortable with MacOS, Windows, Linux and BSD command line interfaces.
- Understand and be able to create/edit shell configuration files.
- Intermediate development skills in any type of Development/scripting language.
- Basic understanding of data structures and programming flows.
- Strong Organizational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Extensive troubleshooting/Debugging experience.
- Being able to understand API’s, use of API’s, and creating scripts that utilize API’s will be necessary for this role
- Working familiarity with Postman or Paw
- Soft skills and knowledge in de-escalation techniques for frustrated or excitable customers
- Punctuality, keeping a schedule and working within a time frame is critical for this role
- Strong communication skills as this role will be in frequent contact with customers via phone, chat and email
- Available for on call support as needed
- Ability to learn new tools and utilize them in an impromptu fashion
- Willingness and ability to use AI, responsibly, to help with the workflow.

What we are building
The Governance team at Domino is aimed at making Domino become the leading platform that enables enterprises to govern their AI projects effectively and efficiently. This is meant to support innovation cycles for our customers, while allowing them to build models and outputs responsibly and safely.
The Data Product team at Domino is responsible for developing the integrations with services, systems and sources that data scientists rely on for their model development and analytics work. Our mission is to make access to data seamless and comprehensive such that data scientists can incorporate data into their workflows without worrying about how. What your impact will be
In your first year, you will:
- Design and develop software solutions that improve Domino’s user experience with regards to the new, highly-sought Governance feature
- Extend and contribute enhancements to the open-source software powering Domino
- Create technical designs and clearly communicate them to cross-functional stakeholders

What we look for in this role
- 5+ years of experience in backend development, especially in distributed computing with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka

We are seeking an AI Enablement Engineer to design and scale the semantic layer that turns raw restaurant data into a shared language for AI, analytics, and decision-making across a global Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) enterprise. This is a foundational role in our AI strategy: the semantic layer you build is what makes natural language analytics, automated reporting, and intelligent AI agents possible at enterprise scale. What You’ll Be Doing
This is a customer-facing Premium Services role that combines deep, hands-on Ceph architecture and administration with the high-touch, outcome-driven approach of a Senior Designated Services Engineer (DSE). You will be the primary Ceph subject matter expert for assigned strategic customers and internal initiatives, owning the design, deployment, lifecycle operations, and performance of Ceph-based object storage environments. In parallel, you will play a key role in ensuring WEKA's Customer Success, contributing to our five-star Gartner reviews. Ceph Architecture & Operations
- Architect, deploy, and operate large-scale production Ceph clusters supporting S3 with an emphasis on availability, performance, and operational simplicity.
- Own cluster lifecycle activities: upgrades, patching, configuration management, routine health checks, and proactive risk remediation.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across the Ceph stack, lead incident response and root-cause analysis.

- 5+ years of hands-on Ceph experience in production: cluster design, deployment, upgrades, and day-2 operations.
- Strong understanding of Ceph internals and operational mechanics: MON quorum, MGR active/standby, OSD behavior, CRUSH and CRUSH maps, pools and placement groups (PGs), recovery/backfill and rebalancing.
- Experience operating large-scale (multi-PB) Ceph environments and navigating the operational challenges of fleet size, PG scaling, and long-running recovery events.

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
- Experience using Xometry’s services from a customer perspective. Partner perspective is a bonus
- Deep familiarity with the methods, materials, culture and products of organizations such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Blue Origin, Anduril, General Dynamics, Moog, SpaceX
- Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, including drawings and GDT
- Particularly strong experience in CNC machining. Composites, Plastics, Harnesses and Sheet Metal Fab are bonuses
- Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100d, ITAR, NIST and other common and critical compliance and certification requirements
- Excellent English communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. This must extend into remote/digital environments
- Ability to travel to customer and/or partner sites as needed. 25%-35% travel is typical
- Mountain or Pacific home time zone preferred

Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Development & Engagement

- Assist partners in pursuing and maintaining special process qualifications such as NADCAP, AMS, VAPS, PPS, and TS16949.
- Oversee the verification and validation of controlled processes, including heat treatment, plating, and coatings.
- Help identify and address compliance requirements from frameworks like DoD, FAA, TCCA, DFARS, and ITAR, ensuring our partners meet all necessary regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of [e.g., 3-5] years of experience in supplier development, supplier quality, or a similar role within a manufacturing or technical environment within manufacturing, supply chain, or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards.
