We are seeking an experienced Space Systems Engineer SME with extensive ground system knowledge to provide advisory & assistance services (A&AS) to support a major defense program, focusing on Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition life cycle planning and Space Force systems. The Space Systems Command (SSC) team provides highly classified Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC/OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets to meet current and projected DoD operational requirements. In addition, they develop, integrate, test, deploy, sustain, and support operations for systems that meet strategic and tactical operational needs. The position is available in Huntsville, AL. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead the planning, processing, and execution of classified space control space, ground, & C2 systems, ensuring all activities are conducted with precision and adherence to security protocols
- Provide systems engineering expertise during the acquisition process including ways to improve the process
- Provide expert guidance on the design and testing of space systems to ensure seamless integration with ground systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine schedules, and processes
- Oversee the development and design process of ground systems, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives
- Coordinate with stakeholders to facilitate the successful development and operations of space systems
- Support rigorous testing and validation of space systems to ensure performance and reliability along with detailed analysis of logs and other test artifacts
- Create detailed, comprehensive documentation and reports for ground system plans, processes, and outcomes
- Integrate C2 solutions with Space C2 and Enterprise Ground System spiral increment efforts to ensure seamless integration
Qualifications Required:
- Master's Degree in related field and minimum 10 years of relevant experience, recognized as industry leader/SME.
- Expert in classified space control space, ground, and C2 systems (concepts, development, build, and test).
- Expert in space control-related technologies, including but not limited to, electromagnetic spectrum, signal processing, comms.
- Expert in developing and managing technical requirements and space system acquisition efforts.
- Highly knowledgeable in electronic attack technologies and system design implementation.
- Highly knowledgeable in modeling and sim, with a demonstrated ability to develop models and assess technical requirements.
- Experience with classified space control systems engineering processes and procedures, including but not limited to requirements development, configuration control, and government Deficiency Review (DR) board establishment, execution, and DR disposition and management.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

SUMMARY
The Regional Category Specialist is a product and category expert responsible for driving growth, adoption, and execution of HexArmor’s product portfolio within an assigned region. This role partners closely with Regional Sales Managers, Director of Sales, Marketing, Category and Product Management, and key distribution partners to expand category presence, support new product introductions, and influence end-user and distributor adoption through training, trials, and strategic category insights.
The ideal candidate combines deep PPE product knowledge, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to influence without direct authority across sales teams, distributor partners, and end users.
LOCATION
Primarily working out of a remote home office with expected travel into the region (Gulf Region). Home office location is flexible, with a preference for candidates located in the Atlanta, Orlando, Birmingham, Tampa, or Miami areas.
