Soccer Stars is the premier youth sports organization serving Long Island and Eastern Queens, providing engaging soccer instruction for children ages 12 months through 13 years. Through our classes, camps, clinics, and enrichment programs, we help children develop athletic ability, confidence, teamwork, and essential life skills in a positive, age-appropriate environment.

We are seeking dependable, enthusiastic, and professional coaches who are passionate about youth development and committed to delivering an exceptional experience for every family we serve.

Coaching Schedule

Candidates must have consistent availability for the sessions they accept.

Preferred availability includes:

Monday-Friday

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Weekends

9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Applicants with broader availability will have access to additional coaching opportunities.

Responsibilities

Successful coaches consistently:

Deliver engaging, age-appropriate soccer instruction
Foster a positive, inclusive, and non-competitive learning environment
Build confidence through encouragement and positive reinforcement
Maintain professionalism by arriving prepared and on time
Adapt instruction to meet the developmental needs of each child
Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and fellow coaches
Participate in ongoing training and implement Soccer Stars' coaching curriculum and standards

Qualifications

Required:

Minimum 18 years of age
Valid driver's license
Reliable personal transportation with willingness to travel throughout Long Island
Ability to successfully complete a background check
Passion for youth development, sports, and coaching

Preferred:

Experience coaching youth sports
Experience working with children in educational, recreational, or camp settings
Background in athletics, physical education, kinesiology, exercise science, fitness, dance, gymnastics, martial arts, or related disciplines
Strong communication and leadership skills

About Super Soccer Stars

For over 20 years, Soccer Stars has been the premier youth educational soccer program throughout the country. Across 16+ states, we use the soccer ball as a vehicle to help children not only improve their soccer skills, but develop self-confidence and physical literacy, improve gross motor skills, and hone socialization skills. Dynamic coaches work with small groups of children to develop skills and teamwork in a fun, non-competitive, educational environment, reaching over 100,000 participants each year.

Our best-in-class curriculum uses positive reinforcement and a low child-to-coach ratio to make sure each child feels confident in their own abilities, allowing kids to improve at their own rate. No matter their age, Soccer Stars has specific and progressive lesson plans built to every child’s developmental needs.

This crib-to-college player pathway includes a Parent & Me pre-soccer movement program starting at 12 months, the original FUN with FUNdamentals Super Soccer Stars program, and an advanced development and competitive play program with Soccer Stars United, up to U18.
