About this Relief Professional Guide role at Belmond
As a relief professional guide for Belmond Safaris, you will be expected to seamlessly transition between our two lodges, providing comprehensive coverage to ensure continuous, high-quality guiding services, you will have a true passion for nature, your surroundings and being the curator of life changing, memorable moments for our guests through storytelling and enchantment. Main Duties & Responsibilities
Take guests on game drives and/or walks daily, delivering an informative, unique and memorable safari experience.
Coordinating and delivering all safari activities.
Actively support and take part in conservation and community initiatives and programmes.
Hosting of guests during pre-dinner drinks and/or meals and/or special events.
Partake in or facilitate guest activities or special functions as and when required.
Assisting with guest and staff transfers.
Ensure effective communication with Lodge Management in terms of all guest and guiding requirements.
Communicate any guest feedback or preferences to Lodge Management which would enhance or improve the guest experience.
Requirements
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Five years of relevant professional guiding experience.
Holder of a Professional Guide Licence with ideally rifle training and walking and water safari certifications.
Passion for the Delta landscape and Chobe National Park.
Proficiency in conducting game drives, diagnosing minor vehicle faults, and possessing a valid driving license.
Storytelling and communication skills.
