Primary Responsibilities Include:
- As a member of the I.T. Management Team be responsible for the overall management and performance of information technology and systems in the assigned hotel.
- Implement and maintain the company wide standards and policies.
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule that meets the agreed objectives and business needs.
- Be responsible for the management of I.T. and systems risk and compliance.
- Assist in leading the IT department and ensure that the staff is aligned with Belmond’s vision, mission, values, and strategic priorities.
- Implement a continuous measurement, review, audit and benchmarking process to monitor the security, capacity and performance of systems.
- Negotiate and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLA) for local systems/vendors. Monitor and Report performance on centrally agreed SLA’s for the business unit.
- Work with the Area I.T. Manager to plan schedules and priorities and respond to any major issues.
- Communicate relevant information to the department and ensure that the Area I.T. Manager is kept well informed of any problems/queries that have arisen.
- Ensure user reviews are done on a quarterly basis and submitted to I.T. Manager and FC for sign off.
- Ensure network switch patching is done biannually.
- Ensure backup restores are tested on monthly basis.
- Ensure DRP is tested biannually.
- Continuously monitor GSPID on a daily basis to attend to any failures on the systems.
- Ensure CCTV servers are checked on a daily basis for any errors.
- Ensure servers and computer updates are applied on a monthly basis
Requirements
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or IT management.
- Experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, servers, backups, and security controls.
- Experience in IT project implementation and vendor management.
- Knowledge of IT governance, risk management, compliance, and disaster recovery processes.
