We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineering Lead to drive the evolution of a scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud platform that empowers engineering teams to build and deliver products efficiently. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will define the platform strategy, architect cloud-native infrastructure, and build reusable engineering capabilities that improve developer productivity, operational reliability, and security.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building production-grade infrastructure, leading platform engineering initiatives, and implementing modern DevOps practices across cloud environments. You will work closely with product engineering, security, and leadership teams to establish standardized platform capabilities, strengthen CI/CD pipelines, improve observability, optimize cloud costs, and build secure-by-design infrastructure.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the platform engineering roadmap, cloud architecture, and infrastructure strategy.
- Design and implement scalable cloud-native platforms across GCP, AWS, or Azure environments.
- Build and enhance Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) with self-service capabilities, reusable templates, and engineering guardrails.
- Lead Kubernetes adoption and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Pulumi, or similar tools.
- Design, implement, and optimize secure, reliable, and automated CI/CD pipelines that accelerate software delivery.
- Improve developer productivity through automation, platform standardization, and reduction of operational overhead.
- Establish observability frameworks using monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure platform reliability and performance.
- Define and implement SLIs, SLOs, incident response processes, and operational best practices.
- Embed security-by-default principles into infrastructure, access management, deployment pipelines, and cloud services.
- Support compliance initiatives by implementing controls aligned with industry security and privacy standards.
- Drive cloud cost optimization through FinOps practices, budgeting, monitoring, and resource optimization.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable infrastructure solutions while mentoring engineers and promoting platform engineering best practices.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 6–8+ years of experience building and managing large-scale production infrastructure and cloud platforms.
- Strong hands-on expertise with GCP, AWS, or Azure cloud environments.
- Proven experience designing and managing Kubernetes-based cloud-native infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Pulumi, or similar technologies.
- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines.
- Good understanding of DevOps methodologies, SDLC, GitOps, and deployment automation.
- Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, or similar monitoring platforms.
- Working knowledge of security best practices, cloud governance, access control, and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with Go, Python, or Node.js for automation and platform tooling.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a focus on reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Excellent collaboration and leadership skills with the ability to mentor teams and influence engineering best practices.
- Experience working in high-growth, cloud-first, or regulated environments is an added advantage.
