Summary of the Role and Team
As a Global Payroll & Benefits Specialist, you will be a key member of the People Operations team, supporting payroll and benefits administration for more than 600 employees across North America, EMEA, LATAM, and Australia.
Reporting to the Senior Director, People Operations, you will help ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing while supporting North American benefits programs. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, payroll providers, and employees to deliver a consistent and positive employee experience across multiple regions.
What You Will Be Doing

Manage payroll processing activities for employees across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery

Support payroll reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve payroll-related issues

Coordinate employee onboarding, offboarding, and employment changes within payroll, benefits, and retirement systems

Maintain payroll records, including compensation updates, benefit elections, deductions, organizational changes, and employee data updates

Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and pay administration processes

Support year-end payroll activities and compliance requirements across global regions

Assist with general ledger reconciliations, vacation accruals, and payroll reporting activities

Monitor regulatory, tax, and legislative updates that may impact payroll and benefits administration
What You Bring
-
Experience processing Canadian and U.S. payroll within a multi-entity, multi-region, or complex business environment
-
Payroll certification or equivalent payroll administration experience

Experience using payroll systems such as UKG, Workday, CloudPay, or similar platforms
-
Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and work with large volumes of payroll data

Advanced Excel skills, including functions such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs (or equivalent lookup and reporting functions)

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential employee information appropriately

Effective written and verbal communication skills in English

Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
Success Outcomes
First 3 Months

Complete onboarding and develop a working knowledge of payroll processes, systems, and compliance requirements across supported regions

Begin processing payroll activities with guidance while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines

Respond effectively to employee payroll and benefits inquiries

Develop familiarity with UKG, CloudPay, and other payroll-related systems

Gain an understanding of country-specific payroll practices, tax requirements, and regulatory considerations
Within 6 Months

Independently manage assigned payroll activities across multiple regions

Support payroll reconciliations and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner

Successfully administer employee lifecycle changes, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits updates, and payroll changes

Demonstrate proficiency with payroll systems, reporting tools, and compliance processes

Contribute to accurate and efficient payroll operations while meeting established service standards
Within 12 Months and Beyond

Independently manage global payroll and benefits administration responsibilities with minimal oversight

Support year-end payroll processing across multiple countries and jurisdictions

Lead complex payroll adjustments and escalated employee inquiries

Identify and implement process improvements that enhance payroll accuracy, efficiency, and employee experience

Provide informed recommendations based on payroll regulations, industry trends, and operational best practices

Contribute to ongoing improvements in payroll, benefits, and compliance programs across the organization
For this role, the estimated annual base salary range is between $445,000.00 - $584,000.00 MXN. In addition to base salary, our compensation package may include bonuses, commissions for eligible sales roles, and a comprehensive benefits package. The actual base salary will vary based on factors including individual qualifications and market data, as objectively assessed during the interview process.
