Position: Network Engineer
Term: 6-month contract with potential to renew or turn perm
Pay: $56/Hr
Location: Tampa, FL - 4 days on site 1 day remote
Work Authorization: USC or GC ONLY
Certification: Must have either CCNA or CCNP - Additional certifications in Cisco ACI, Cisco ISE, or SDN networking are advantageous.
Experience:
- 8 years of experience in Networking and specifically with Cisco ISE, Cisco ACI, Cisco Nexus
- 5-7 years of experience planning, designing, implementing, and supporting new and existing network systems.
- Extensive hands‑on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and wireless access points for patching and upgrading
- Proficiency in router/switch configuration and break‑fix troubleshooting.
- Experience implementing network segmentation and NAC enforcement.
- Familiarity with network licensing optimization, cloud networking solutions, and modern hybrid architectures.
Responsibilities:
- Design, Deploy, & Manage Network Infrastructure: Oversee high-availability enterprise (LAN, WAN, SDN) and OT networks across power plants, solar fields, and control centers.
- Hardware Lifecycle Management: Handle installations, upgrades, patching, and refreshes for Cisco routers, switches, wireless APs, NetScaler load balancers, and ACI fabrics.
- Network Segmentation & Policy: Develop and enforce macro- and micro-segmentation strategies across traditional and ACI environments.
- Identity & Access Management: Administer NAC technologies (Cisco ISE) for secure device authentication, posture assessments, and access enforcement.
- Security & Vulnerability Management: Remediate vulnerabilities, manage DDoS protection, and ensure alignment with industry regulatory compliance standards.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor performance and diagnose complex infrastructure, security, and load-balancing issues.
- Cross-Functional Project Leadership: Lead network initiatives and partner with cross-functional teams to integrate server, storage, and security components.
