Professional Summary
We are looking for a dependable MIG Welder & Metal Finishing Technician to join our fabrication team. This position involves welding, grinding, and finishing custom metal components, including stairs, railings, and other miscellaneous metal products. The ideal candidate is motivated, eager to learn, and able to produce quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates with less experience but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding on stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metal fabrication projects.
Grind and finish welded assemblies to meet quality standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and technical documents.
Operate an overhead crane to safely move materials and finished products.
Inspect completed welds and fabricated components to identify defects and ensure quality.
Safely operate welding equipment and follow established fabrication procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Meet production schedules while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Work closely with team members to support fabrication and production goals.
Required Qualifications
Experience with MIG welding.
Experience using a variety of welding equipment and fabrication techniques.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication documents.
Basic math and geometry skills.
Strong time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Ability to perform quality work while working under deadlines.
Dependable attendance and a positive, self-motivated work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Welding Certification.
Experience fabricating stairs, stair stringers, porches, railings, or miscellaneous metals.
Previous experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
Additional Information
Candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude, positive attitude, and willingness to learn will be considered, even if they have less welding experience.
