Role Summary & Impact
As a Media Planner, you will support the development and execution of integrated media plans across assigned film titles. You will play a key role in campaign planning, data analysis, and execution while collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver accurate, insight-driven media strategies. This role offers the opportunity to grow within a fast-paced agency environment and contribute directly to client success.
The Media Planner provides support to senior team members, contributes to overall client service requirements, and assists in the development, execution, and maintenance of media plans that drive business results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Planning & Execution
- Support the development and execution of holistic media plans aligned with client objectives and campaign strategy.
- Collaborate with Research Leads, Planning Managers, and senior stakeholders to analyze first-party, syndicated, platform, and marketplace data to inform audience insights and strategic recommendations.
- Assist in campaign planning activities across all assigned film titles and media channels.
- Create, maintain, and update media planning documents, ensuring accuracy across formulas, data, and links.
- Conduct quality assurance checks across digital media plans, including validation of weekly reporting and plan updates.
- Prepare client-ready materials, media plan updates, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in the development of strategic POVs, insights, and planning recommendations.
- Apply foundational media planning concepts and metrics, including Share of Voice (SOV), Reach, Frequency, CPM, and media math.
Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyze audience, consumer, and campaign performance data to support media recommendations.
- Interpret findings from research tools and syndicated sources to develop actionable insights.
- Identify implications of plan changes and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging media opportunities, sharing relevant insights with internal teams and clients.
Client Service & Communication
- Capture detailed notes during internal and client meetings and distribute key actions and takeaways in a timely manner.
- Support client communications through email, phone, and meeting follow-ups as required.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with media vendors and partners to support planning initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve campaign issues, support trafficking processes, and assist with billing and invoice reconciliation.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on delivering exceptional client service.
Team Support
- Support the onboarding and training of Assistant Planners.
- Collaborate with colleagues across planning, investment, analytics, and client teams.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices within the broader planning team.

Your Education & Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in media planning, media buying, advertising, marketing, or a related field.
- Experience working with media planning tools, research platforms, and campaign reporting is considered an asset.
- Post-secondary degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Passion for media, entertainment, consumer behavior, and advertising trends.
