EnerMech is seeking a talented and motivated Measurement Technician to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of measurement and instrumentation systems supporting natural gas pipeline operations.

As a Measurement Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate measurement of gas flow, pressure, temperature, and volume while supporting operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and system reliability. This position offers the opportunity to work with industry-leading equipment, solve complex technical challenges, and contribute directly to the safe and efficient transportation of energy.

Job Description:

  • Install, inspect, and maintain gas measurement and metering systems, including flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature sensors.
  • Perform routine calibration and verification of measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards
  • Monitor and troubleshoot measurement and instrumentation systems to detect and correct faults or discrepancies
  • Conduct proving and validation tests of gas meters and flow devices
  • Record, analyze, and report measurement data for operational purposes
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards (e.g., API, AGA), and safety procedures
  • Maintain and update measurement records, logs, and calibration reports
  • Support installation and commissioning of new measurement systems and equipment
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure optimal system performance
  • Respond to emergency situations and system failures related to measurement equipment

Requirements

  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Relevant certification in instrumentation or measurement systems is an asset
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in measurement, instrumentation, or gas pipeline operations (preferred)
