About this Head of Product (AI) role at Makro PRO

The Head of Product (AI) will lead the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for AI-driven initiatives across the organization. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, data teams, and leadership to identify opportunities where Artificial Intelligence can improve customer experiences, operational efficiency, and business growth.

The ideal candidate combines strong product leadership experience with a solid understanding of AI and emerging technologies. While this role does not require deep hands-on technical expertise, the candidate should be comfortable collaborating with technical teams and translating business challenges into scalable AI product solutions.

Requirements

Define and drive the AI product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives.

Identify opportunities where AI and automation can improve customer experiences, internal processes, and operational efficiency.

Partner closely with engineering, data science, design, and business teams to deliver AI-enabled products and features.

Translate complex business problems into clear product requirements and user-focused solutions.

Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management from ideation, prioritization, development, launch, and optimization.

Drive adoption and successful implementation of AI-powered capabilities across various business functions.

Work with stakeholders to define KPIs and measure the business impact of AI initiatives.

Stay updated on emerging AI trends, Generative AI capabilities, and market best practices to identify innovation opportunities.

Ensure responsible and ethical AI practices are considered throughout product development.

Manage and mentor Product Managers within the AI product domain.

Collaborate with leadership teams to align product priorities with organizational goals.

Support cross-functional teams in driving experimentation, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.

Min 10 years of product management experience, with at least 3–5 years leading product teams.

Experience delivering digital products or platforms within technology, e-commerce, retail, fintech, or related industries.

Exposure to AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or data-driven products is highly preferred.

Strong understanding of product management frameworks, agile methodologies, and user-centric product development.

Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.

Commercially minded with the ability to balance business impact, customer needs, and technical feasibility.

Experience defining product roadmaps, prioritization frameworks, and success metrics.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience working in fast-paced and dynamic environments.

Regional or enterprise-scale product experience is an advantage.

Preferred Experience

Experience working on AI-powered customer experiences, recommendation engines, automation tools, or operational AI solutions.

Exposure to cloud ecosystems such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Experience collaborating with data science or machine learning teams.

Understanding of responsible AI practices and data privacy considerations.
