Responsibilities:
-A Contract and Commercial Manager in electrical infrastructure oversees the financial and contractual performance of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all legal and commercial terms.
-Contract Management: Administering major infrastructure contracts, such as NEC3/4, FIDIC, or JCT, throughout the project lifecycle.
-Negotiation & Documentation: Leading business and contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, and drawing up associated legal documentation that outlines the terms of service and deliverables.
-Financial Control: Managing project budgets, tracking cash flow, profitability, and cost-to-complete estimates. This involves preparing and presenting commercial performance reports to senior leadership.
-Risk Management: Identifying, monitoring, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks across all project phases.
-Variations and Claims: Overseeing pre and post-contract duties, and supporting the resolution of claims and disputes with clients or subcontractors.
-Procurement: Leading procurement and commercial outcomes to ensure cost-efficiency and value for money.
Requirements:
-A degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, civil), construction management, or a related field.
-Extensive experience (typically 8 years above) in a commercial or contract role, preferably within the building, construction, or infrastructure industry.
-Strong understanding of legal documentation and contract compliance.
