About the role
For a Leading Dry bulk Shipowner and Operator
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor day-to-day dry bulk vessel operations, ensuring smooth and cost-effective voyage execution
- Handle post-fixture operations for owned and managed vessels in close cooperation with charterers, Masters, agents, and brokers
- Monitor loading/discharging operations and ensure compliance with voyage instructions and charter party terms
- Prepare and review operational documentation including SOFs, laytime calculations, and voyage reports
- Monitor vessel performance, bunker consumption, and operational efficiency
- Liaise with internal departments including commercial, technical, and accounting teams to ensure seamless operations
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
- Proactively resolve operational issues and provide effective solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, agents, terminals, and other operational stakeholders
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in Dry Bulk Operations within a shipowner, operator, or shipmanagement company
- Solid understanding of dry bulk shipping operations and charter party terms
- Experience handling Handy, Supramax, Ultramax, or Panamax vessels will be considered an advantage
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple voyages simultaneously
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in MS Office and shipping software systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Business Administration, or related field will be considered an advantage
